LUNAR OCCULTATION OF JUPITER: Some said it was better than coffee. Early this morning, astronomers woke up before dawn to see a lunar occultation of Jupiter. Gary Scimeca of Saddle Brook, New Jersey, watched the gas giant and its largest moons emerge after an hour of hiding:
“It was a beautiful sight!” says Scimeca.
The occultation was visible from a wide band stretching across the USA and Canada. Outside of that band, it was merely a close encounter–still very pretty, though. Did you see it? Submit your pictures here.
A POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS SUNSPOT: Don’t be surprised if there is a strong solar flare today. New sunspot 4549 is growing rapidly (it didn’t even exist yesterday), and it has developed an unstable magnetic field that harbors energy for X-flares. Any explosions today will be geoeffective as the sunspot is directly facing Earth.
SOLAR FLARE ALERT & UPDATE:
Earth-orbiting satellites detected a M1.4 class solar flare at 06-Oct-2026 at 06:10:00 UTC.
UPDATE (IMAGE ABOVE) —we now have images of today’s M1.4-class solar flare (06:10 UTC). It erupted from sunspot 4549 at solar coordinates N11E12. That is close to the center of the solar disk.
What this means: the flare site is squarely Earth-facing. If this flare launched a coronal mass ejection, it would likely be aimed at Earth — watch for possible geomagnetic storming and auroras in the next 1-3 days.

Mayan Calendar Time and Synchronicity
The October 6, 2026 lunar occultation of Jupiter represents an intensified, rare form of a Moon-Jupiter conjunction. An occultation functions like a temporary eclipse of a planet. Eclipses represent an end and new beginning. The alignment takes place in the fiery sign of Leo, triggering a sudden realignments regarding personal power, recognition, and hidden abundance within. The trecena of Star/LAMAT multiplies to abundance whatever we hold as the Highest Object of our Affection. Leo is the “lion-hearted” symbol of the Sun.
Sunspot 4549 didn’t follow the existing order emerging from the farside, but was brought to life near the Heart of the Sun… already in position for geo-effective Solar Flares. The Solar coronal hole backs it up with Solar Winds due to strike as early as 10/10/2026 (10:10:10 in a “year of 10). 10 is the Master’s Number. Today is 10 Earth/CABAN, a Clarion Call on the Tone 10 of manifestation. Eclipses are Signs of the future as a cycle that is over. The re-emergence of Jupiter from behind the Moon is Human’s Reflection of the Light.
The trecena of Star/LAMAT leads to a Revelation of Sun/AHAU, and the Truth of what the Supreme Lord of Creation is capable to do. October 10, 2026 falls on 1 Crocodile/IMIX – the Dawn of a New Awakening guided by the trinity of the Alpha (IMIX) and the Omega (AHAU). 13 AHAU completes the Tzolk’in round as the manifestation of a New Generation of the Human Seed. We might look for the fireworks associated with a Revelation that our strength lies in our weakness. When we can’t, God Will.
