Moonbow and Arcturus, Taken by Aaron Watson on October 23, 2026 @ West Elk Mountains, Colorado
Full Moon, October 25-26, 2026
SPACEWEATHER.COM NEWS: 10/25/2026
THE HUNTER’S MOON: There’s a full Moon tonight, and it has a special name: The Hunter’s Moon. It gets its name from Native American hunters who tracked their prey by autumn moonlight, stockpiling food for the winter ahead. Browse: Photo Gallery
HUNTER’S MOONBOW: A rainbow at night? Believe it. The Hunter’s Moon created one over in the West Elk Mountains of Colorado:
It was raining and the moon came out big and bright from behind the clouds, perfect recipe for a moonbow! The Moon was fairly high and the moonbow started to appear somewhat low on the horizon with Arcturus setting just below it. It was visible as a faint white arc and even started to show some subtle color at its peak to the unaided eye. It was so beautiful and rare to see the moonbow paired with the twinkling stars. It lasted for just a few minutes then faded as the rain let up.
The Sun Today
Sunspot 4560, positioned near the western limb of a nearly spotless Sun is about to turn to the farside. It has a ‘beta-gamma’ magnetic field that harbors energy for M-class solar flares. A new coronal hole on the opposite side is producing Solar Winds that should reach Earth on Oct 30th.
As for the farside, LASCO C3 animated image (a top-down 360-degree view of the Sun) shows a large active region about to emerge on the earth-facing side. See the video animation on the NOAA Spaceweather Dashboard.
The calm before the storm…
The tides are rising to the Full Hunter’s Moon, an Offering of Light for the final gathering of earthly provisions before the darkest Days of Winter.
MoonGiant.com – Lunar Cycle, Full Hunter’s Moon

The Full Moon in Taurus relates to our earthly desires for beauty and comfort. In the Season of Dying, a Moonbow reminds us of a Promise and a Divine Provision of Spirit to cross the great divide. MoonGiant.com offers the Dates and Times for International locations. (In the Maya lands (CDT) the Full Moon rises on October 25, 2026, at 11:11 PM.)

11 is the symbol of a Wakeup Call, or code of activation. It’s Time to turn to the Source of the Full Moon’s Light to remember a Divine Promise that covers the unknown circumstances in the future that only God knows.
A Vision Quest is a harvest of Faith to remember, “God will provide everything we need for the Light of Spirit to carry on.” We may be stirred up by the rising tides, but the tides will be turning in our favor as we set sail to a new and distant horizon.
In ancient times, long before the invention of GPS, magnetic compasses, or mechanical clocks, mariners relied on celestial navigation (wayfinding)—using the sun, stars, winds, and ocean swells to cross vast, open waters. Arcturus played a highly specialized role in these journeys, particularly across the Mediterranean and the vast Pacific Ocean.
Polynesian Wayfinding: The Star of Joy
For ancient Polynesian voyagers, navigating thousands of miles between islands in double-hulled canoes, Arcturus was one of the most critical landmarks in the night sky.
- The Zenith Star (Hōkūleʻa): Polynesians called Arcturus Hōkūleʻa, meaning “Star of Joy”. It is a “zenith star” for Hawaii. Because its declination matches the exact geographic latitude of the Hawaiian Islands, Arcturus passes directly overhead (at its peak zenith) when viewed from Hawaii.
- The “Latitude Line” Technique: When sailing north from Tahiti toward Hawaii, navigators could not measure longitude, but they could determine their latitude by watching the stars. They would sail downwind until Arcturus pointed exactly straight down at their vessel at midnight. Once Arcturus was directly overhead, they knew they were at the exact latitude of Hawaii and could simply turn west, letting the wind carry them straight to a landfall.
Aligned with the Full Moon, the Bear is a Guardian of the Heart and a Rainbow is the promise that that we will be guided home.
A Vision Quest is a harvest for the Provision of Faith. A Light is given to show the way, and a Rainbow, to Remember the Promise that life will carry on by a Divine Provision and a Divine Intermediary will guide the way.
As we greet the Full Moon, may we remember it’s a Reflection of the Father’s Light that our eyes are capable to see. Imagine the Joy of seeing the Light appear in the vast darkness of an ocean voyage that pointed the way home.
The Hunter’s Moon rises early in the evening, which means that you are more likely to see it near the horizon. When you observe the moon while it’s near the horizon, it gives off the illusion of being bigger while it’s in fact the same size. In addition, observing the moon at the horizon makes it look redder. This is because you’re seeing it through a thicker atmosphere, which scatters more blue light and lets more red light pass through to reach your eyes.
Scientific explanations aside, the Hunter’s Moon or Blood Moon still holds an undeniable aura of mystique and power. The spooky full moon has become a symbol of Halloween. The time is associated with the thinning of the veil between the physical world and the spiritual world. Though, it rarely occurs on Halloween night. It happened in 2020, and the next time the Full Blood Moon occurs on Halloween will be 2035.
Mayan Calendar Time and Synchronicity
3 Wisdom/CIB offers a Light to see the future. The tide is turning and we’re rounding a corner. The sum of everything we knew yesterday, plus today, will equal tomorrow. Gratitude is the Jaguar’s “magic to see” the unseen. Count your blessing in the reflection of the Sun’s light that we can see cleary. Claim the Truth that a cycle is coming to an end as the tides are turning in our favor.

October 25, 2026 resolves to 10:25:10. 5 is the symbol of Empowerment by a Hand of Divine Agency (5×2:5×5:5×2). 5 x 9 is a symbol of an empowerment that is “finished” by a Hand Above.
Remember the Silent Flight of the Owl (Wisdom/CIB). The Owl is the “great hunter”. You never hear it coming.
Deuteronomy 31:8 KJV
“And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.”
On the Full Moon the Sun’s Light reaches around the Earth to illuminate the Moon that is behind us. On Tone 3, we know the way home. The next wise thing to do is to give thanks for the One that lights the way. The Owl is a symbol of Arcturus.
THE TRECENA OF JAGUAR/IX: A JOURNEY TO THE LIGHT
It only takes 13 days to see how Faith is always raised to Knowing the Truth of Answered Prayers. You only have to track your thoughts. Record the matters on your mind in a journal to see how your perspective is changed by a Divine Order of Thoughts. The Meaning of Time is reflected by the thoughts on our mind.

Galactic Tone 3: Action. Three is basic movement and communication, which begins as a vibration. Three energy is very eloquent in all types of self-expression. Communication is how Three establishes a point of agreement between any point “A” and any point “B”. Three persons are rhythmic to the core and are often restless, as motion is their nature. By working closely with the energy of Three, any person becomes more able to predict motions of all kinds.
Wisdom/CIB: The old ones. Wisdom of the ancients. Wisdom persons are aligned with the ancient memories that wait in the stone of temples and sacred sites all over the world. Wisdom people grow luck like a crop using a balance of prudence and tenacity. The tremendous inner strength of this sign enables silent introspection to discover areas of oneself that contain wisdom more valuable than any trove of archaeological treasure. Wisdom persons are valiant defenders of family and community. They may become hardened to life and sentiment turned cold. In these cases, they need much forgiveness for their uncaring errors. Periodically connecting with nature and or visiting sacred sites will bring great stability to wisdom persons.
A GOOD DAY TO: Sit on a rock.
Cherokee, Owl/U’GUKU’ O’JJ: Symbol is of the Owl is Arcturus, the brightest Star in the Constellation Bootes. The Cherokee Bear constellation (Ursa Major) includes the Big Dipper plus four stars in Bootes. Owl is a hunter, who stands for the wisdom and ability of all great hunters, the cunning of a fox, the tenacity of a bulldog and strength of a bear. Energy for deep thinkers, strong-willed, rigid convictions, bold and authoritative. Owl is the Mystic Ferryman who holds the torch aloft to guide Earthlings on their return path to the stars.
