STRONG GEOMAGNETIC STORM: A co-rotating interaction region (CIR) hit Earth on May 29th, sparking a strong G3-class geomagnetic storm with auroras in both hemispheres. Gregory Ash photographed the display from Ely, Minnesota:

 

“The aurora was very diffuse for the first hour, then it finally exploded with huge pillars that backlit this tiny island,” says Ash.

CIRs are transition zones between fast- and slow-moving streams of solar wind. They contain CME-like shock waves that do a good job sparking geomagnetic storms and auroras. We knew this CIR was coming, but expected it to produce no more than a minor storm. The G3 strength of the storm was a surprise to forecasters.

MORE STORMS ARE POSSIBLE TODAY: Earth’s magnetic field is still reverberating from the impact of a CIR, which produced a strong geomagnetic storm during the early hours of May 29th. The storm is subsiding now, but it might not be over. NOAA forecasters say that minor (G1) to moderate (G2) storms are possible in the hours ahead.

Mayan Time

9 Wind/IK is the Breath of Life and Spirit that completes Human’s Creation. Tone 9 holds the Intention of Patience to see the Big Picture. Wind represents the Authority of the Creator’s Word. The lectionary by the Christian calendar reminds us of Christ’s Ascension. “This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.”

The “Diving God” of Mayan tradition is the Spirit of Christ that will descend from Above, a Light to be seen from the 4 corners of Earth. 9 Wind/IK is Destiny Kin 22, the Master Number of God’s Creation.

The Haab month of Zotz begins, a time to prepare for the Bee festival through fasting and prayer. They descend with their offering of Gold from Above. This is the cycle of the Strawberry Moon, also known as the Honey Moon. The wild berries and the Honey represent the “first fruits” as a harvest of “super foods” as an offering from above.

Galactic Tone 9: Patience. The energy of Nine is one of the getting a better perspective of the bigger picture. With the energy of Nine plans or patterns begin to come to completion. Nine requires patience and perseverance that is found in the bigger picture, otherwise there is great suffering from the lack of insight. The completion of cycles of action is all-important to Nine.

Wind/IK: Breath of Spirit, breath of life. Winds embody the power of dissemination and planting of good seeds or ideas. Dreamers and planners with powerful imaginations, Wind persons make great orators and they spread the word of spiritual inspiration as it is carried by the wind. Wind is the power behind the movement of natural cycles such as weather, erosion, and cultural change. As the wind, these persons are extremely changeable and adaptable. They may appear inconsistent or fickle to others. Wind can be destructive to self and others by putting on airs. When Winds strut and boast, expanding on facts and accomplishments, they are building the dark clouds of trouble that may become hurricanes.

A GOOD DAY TO: Send communications of all kinds. 

Cherokee, Whirlwind/AGALU’GA: Whirlwind’s symbol is a double spiral helix in rising smoke. Wind brings energy for an Inquiring mind, learning and wisdom. In Cherokee, the constellations are represented by 12 birds (dancers), the 13th bird is the Whirlwind, the lead dancer. This reflects the whirling of life. Wind is the breath of the Universe (matching the Mayan symbol) channel of communication and carries the Sacred Smoke to the Great Spirit (Source- Hunab Ku in Mayan); matches the pulse of the breath of the Cosmos.
