2 Monkey Chuen (Cherokee, Raccoon/KVH’LI )
Galactic Tone 2: Duality; Mysterious as the question “to be or not to be?” Two is the recognition of the separation of self from all else and the desire to be rejoined. Walking a balance while making choices of all kinds, light/dark, male/female, good/bad, Yin/Yang, is the energy of this number. Experiencing the differences between one and another is the use and purpose of this number.
Monkey/Chuen/Batz: Monkey is known to the May as the Weaver or Weaver of Time. Monkey takes ideas as threads of vines and weaves them into the fabric of our reality. New patterns or inventions are also woven into our lives by Monkey. Amiable, intelligent, generous and jack of all trades, Monkey’s innocent curiosity leads to artistic expression and constructive solutions. It is also considered to be one of the most fortunate and lucky day signs.
Cherokee, Raccoon/KVH’LI: The Racoon Symbol is Algol, a star in Perseus. Restless energy yearning for long-lost love. Algol was named DEMON STAR or MISCHIEVOUS ONE by the Ancients because it winks and fades at times. Raccoons are full of friendly mischief, eager to swap kisses for candy. Magnetic leaders, full of humor and gaiety. Favorite food is corn, the mainstay of the Cherokee. Very artistic while being the “masked bandit” who steals your heart.
Monkey Magic
Galactic Tone 1, the first day of each trecena, is a potent day of inspiration. You may find these to be days when you prefer time to yourself. I’ve found that if I attempt major progress on this day – I have a hard time getting off “go”. It really IS a good day to be alone and introspective.
Galactic Tone 2, is similarly introspective, and represents that part of the process of defining/forming intentions based on the new inspiration we received the day before. (If yesterday was “I want to bake a cake,” then Tone 2 is “what kind shall it be?”) We are in a process of finding direction to move forward from our inspiration.
NOTE: Day 3 is the first date of actual movement in the cycle. I promise that if you postpone any work you can until the 3rd day/tone, you’ll be able to accomplish enough to make up for Day 1 and Day 2.
As weaver of time, Monkey/CHUEN is like an alchemist, capable to spin the fabric of our lives. The Monkey loves to play. On 2 Monkey/CHUEN, we can apply monkey magic as we consider how our inspiration might play out. What if we could weave time to see how one direction or another might best suit our intentions for moving forward? We are offered Monkey’s magic so that we can. (If I had a magic wand laying around, Chuen is a day I’d pretend that it works.)
You can spin your own magic to see through the eyes of all potential. There, we are open to recognize our deepest dreams – especially the dreams we may have discounted by thinking they were outside the realm of possibility.
