MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
We are brought to a Holy Recognition of our connection to the Earth. We brought the new Truth of the Seed/KAN trecena about God’s intentions that we would be Divine Reflections of Light. Now the Seed of our Spirit takes root through a maternal imprinting with our Mother, Earth. The Earth and the Whole of the Natural World is our Direct Connection to our Sacred Source. The deeper our roots are established, the brighter our illumination – a Truth of Nature proven by the science of bioluminescence.
Tone 8 calls us to an experience of balance and harmony through a conscious positioning to find our place in God’s creation. Our Spirits thrive through a Sacred Exchange among the Elements of the Natural World. Torn apart from this interconnectedness, the plant that was a seed would wither and die. Through an acknowledgement of our Oneness we are naturally guided to serve the highest good of all.
We physically call more Light to the body by eating living foods that are also luminescent. God intended us to be One with the world and to live in an equal exchange with every living thing. The Earth was designed as a Garden of Eden where all things lived in a harmony of reciprocity. We were meant to be nourished by Light as the in-breath, reciprocating through the out-breath of our Air.
The work of 8 Seed/KAN is to position ourselves through a new understanding of how we can bring our lives into balance. We are called to the responsibility of not relying on chance, through the guidance to carefully weigh the evidence. When our unique Living Seed takes root, centering its nourishment from the Direct Connection to Source, our Spirit aligns with our own axis mundi – the Tree of Life. Here there is perfect harmony and balance through a justice of equality.
Earth is a creation of God’s Love and the Holy Place for our Spirits to take root. A sacred tradition on the Medicine Path is to draw nourishment from the Light of the Sun. As the Sun dawns on the horizon, we take our right hand and sweep the Light from the line of the horizon to our lips. We do this 4 times as we acknowledge the Source of our Light, the inheritance from our Grandmothers and Grandfathers that helped to preserve the ancient wisdom, and for the inspiration for a new day.
“Great Spirit, Grandfathers, and Grandmothers, what would You have me know today?”
To all my relations, may we acknowledge the generations upon generations that brought our New Seed forward by preserving the ancient wisdom. May we draw awareness through connection to the Natural World, and feeding on the Light of God’s Love, establish our own Light in the beauty of balance and harmony.

THE TRECENA OF EARTH/CABAN
8 Seed/KAN (Cherokee, Dragon Ukte’na)
Galactic Tone 8: Harmony and balance; weighing evidence to reach a balance of justice. The power of organization demonstrated in the statement, “as above, so below”; from simplicity to infinity
Seed/KAN: Family, sexual activity and the magic of germination are the characteristics of this sun sign. Seed strives to free themselves and others from the debt or oppressive patterns of the past. Abundance is gathered by Seeds as if with a cast net.
Cherokee, Dragon Ukte’na: The Sky constellation Draco represents this sign. Dragon represents Matriarchy, the Great Mother Figure. Dragon is the Corn Spirit, the dual personality of both Corn Mother and Corn Maiden. This Sign is fertility and procreation, generation to generation.
NEW DAY KEEPERS: My sacred intention for the new Tzolk’in round is to offer more personal support. I will be offering an Introductory Guided Course for Day Keepers in the near future.
