MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
The next 13 days…
We enter a new beginning under the guidance of Wisdom/CIB, the Day Sign that brings new wisdom and connects us to the Old Ones, the Ascended Masters who walked this way before. The glyph represents the mind in a state of highest consciousness, reflection and forgiveness. The CIB trecena can clear the way for greater Spiritual progress and help us to manifest a transformation to Higher Wisdom.
AKBAL inspired us to see the Light that always shines in our darkness, and through an emotional clearing, prepared us for a New Beginning of Higher Possibility. CIB calls us to enter a time of personal reflection to look at ourselves and re-examine our experiences. CIB helps us to Gather Wisdom from a treasure within our Self.
PORTAL DAYS: Element of Ether – The Wisdom/CIB trecena includes 2 Portal Days that will thin the veil to other dimensions. These are days when we are capable to Experience our Spiritual Gifts and Feel the Truth of our Connection to the Ancestors. A Portal on 2 Earth/CABAN will guide the Choice of our Intention. And, on 8 Night/AKBAL, our Spiritual Discernment will be magnified on the Holy Day of Divine Justice.
PEAK DAYS/PEAK EXPERIENCES:
- 6 Crocodile/IMIX – Our primordial Mother will guide a Way of Movement that draws upon our imagination to inspire a new and innovative approach to life.
- 7 Wind/IK – We find our Balance through a reflection on Breath of Life and Spirit.
- 8 Night/AKBAL – Divine Agency offers a Gift of Divine Justice that offers a Transformation of Spirit
- 9 Seed/KAN – An effort of Patience expands our Perspective so we are able to see Higher Truth about the Spark of Creation within.
10th and 11th UINAL: 5 Sun/AHAU completes a Higher Intention of Manifestation. On the Tone 5 of Empowerment, we will Manifest a new Light of Understanding. As 6 Crocodile/IMIX moves us into the 11th Uinal, we are drawn into a cycle that will reveal our Higher Intention and Divine Purpose.
On Tone 1 our new journey begins with an inspiration that will guide a new Intention. Our most recent journey laid a foundation of Knowledge about our own Power and Capability to Realize a Dream. The Wisdom Keepers are present to offer the Keynote Address to launch a cycle of Higher Learning. Our role is to show up as students, eager to listen and learn. The Old Ones have walked this way before and can Inspire us to discover our own Wisdom.
“Acres of Diamonds,” a book by Russell H. Conwell, is a true story retold by many well-known motivational speakers. It was first presented by Conwell as a lecture on the Chautauqua Circuit in 1882. The Chautauqua movement was a “traveling university” that offered an opportunity for higher education to people living in rural areas of the USA who would otherwise have no access to a college education.
Conwell’s true story recounts the experience of an African farmer who was inspired by those who had made millions discovering diamonds, to sell his farm and go prospecting for diamonds himself. He spent a lifetime in search of a treasure he would never find. Meanwhile, the man who had bought his farm happened upon flashes of light from a stream on the farm that was sold. In short, he had discovered the largest diamond mine on the African continent.
The Old Ones would inspire us to see that our Greatest Treasure is not found somewhere else, but right beneath our feet in the place where we are. Wisdom/CIB is a Day Sign of Inner Strength that “enables silent introspection to discover areas of oneself that contain wisdom more valuable than any trove of archaeological treasure. CIB will guide us to the Treasure of Wisdom that can be drawn from our own Experience. We are called to Honor the Ancestors whose greatest desire is to share the blessing of their own Wisdom, and a Way of Finding Wisdom within our Self.
We are likely to make mistakes the first time we apply something newly learned. Wisdom/CIB reminds us that Higher Consciousness is made possible by Forgiveness. We must forgive our own shortcomings. We are most capable to learn from our mistakes than in doing things perfectly the first time. Our failures can either be our greatest obstacles, or serve as the catalyst to our Transformation. We must forgive ourselves and receive our challenging experiences in the Light of the Wisdom they bring. By reflecting on our Experiences with a willingness to Forgive, we can also receive the Healing of something in our Past.
This is a time to reset the altar for a new cycle of transformation. On the Native American path it is customary to bring an offering of tobacco, a gift of sacred Medicine tied as a bundle in red cloth, to one who would serve in the formal role of Teacher. We might Honor that Tradition of the Old Ones by creating a Medicine Bundle to place on our altar. Whether it holds tobacco, herbs, cornmeal or sage, it can be the symbol of our commitment to be present to receive their Wisdom. The Cherokee Day Sign of the Owl is “the Mystic Ferryman” who holds a torch aloft for Earthlings to find our “return path to the stars.”
To all my relations, as we celebrated an Ascension that prepared us for something new, may we offer ourselves to the Experience of an Application in our life. May we dare to face our Unknown as Akbal taught us to do, holding Faith in a Light that will shine in our Darkness. May we find the inspiration to take a risk on a Dream we Love, realizing that even if we fail, we will acquire a new Wisdom to build on. May we Honor the Old Ones who will share the Wisdom from their own life journey, that makes the way easier for all who follow. May we receive each new day as a Sacred Event that promises the Wisdom of New Experience. And, may we look deeply beyond the surface to find the permanent Treasure of Wisdom we hold within.

1 Wisdom/CIB (Cherokee, Owl U’GUKU’ O’JJ)
Galactic Tone 1: Unity. One is the beginning of all things, the first, the whole and the all in one. One’s are assertive and self-guided and give a good push to whatever project they are associated with. One persons work best when meeting a challenge. Do not expect One-persons to be attentive to details or to put the finishing touches on things.
Wisdom/CIB: The old ones. Wisdom of the ancients. Wisdom persons are aligned with the ancient memories that wait in the stone of temples and sacred sites all over the world. Wisdom people grow luck like a crop using a balance of prudence and tenacity. The tremendous inner strength of this sign, enables silent introspection to discover areas of oneself that contain wisdom more valuable than any trove of archaeological treasure. Wisdom persons are valiant defenders of family and community. They may become hardened to life and sentiment turned cold. In these cases, they need much forgiveness for their uncaring errors. Periodically connecting with nature and or visiting sacred sites will bring great stability to wisdom persons. (A good day to sit on a rock.)
Cherokee, Owl/U’GUKU’ O’JJ: Symbol is the Owl is Arcturus, the brightest Star in the Constellation Bootes. The Cherokee Bear constellation (Ursa Major) includes the Big Dipper plus four stars in Bootes. Owl is a hunter, who stands for the wisdom and ability of all great hunters, the cunning of a fox, the tenacity of a bulldog and strength of a bear. Energy for deep thinkers, strong-willed, rigid convictions, bold and authoritative. Owl is the Mystic Ferryman who guides Earthlings on the return path to the stars holding the torch aloft.
