MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
Tone 6 engages a Flow and Rhythm of Movement to establish Momentum for a new climb of Spiritual Growth. We are learning to face life’s darkness with the strength of our Authority to claim the Light. The experiences of this trecena are leading a Transformation to Higher Consciousness that the Power we wield is the Power of a Supreme Creator who designed us as instruments of its own Power. Tone 6 offers Peak Energy to invest our effort in an application of this Power.
Night/AKBAL is the Light always shining in the darkness. The Cherokee Day Sign, the Hearth, refers to the Sacred Fire that are tended through the night. As the gathering place for Divine Council we are made conscious of the ever-present support for Divine Discernment.
AKBAL is the “Bringer of the Dawn” who brings new Light to illuminate the road of life. AKBAL helps us to overcome our fear of darkness, dispelling the fear and doubt of our unconscious thoughts. Our Lower Nature is inclined to fear the Unknown. AKBAL shines the Light of Truth that the Unknown is our place of opportunity. What is yet held in the Void is yet to be defined and holds All Possibility. We are learning to move with confidence toward a Dream, knowing a Light will always be present to show the way. Night is known for drawing forth new solutions and inspiration. An Inner Voice will evidence our connection to the Light.
Tone 6 helps us to go with the flow of Divine Power. Claiming that we are directed by a Consciousness that exceeds our Human understanding, we can claim the value of every experience. By volunteering our Dream into the Hands of Divine Will, we can let go of our Human need to know “why.” We could discern that we are led on a path in Divine Order with a Higher Intention. We no longer have to fear the Unknown, or be subject to a discernment that darkness is evidence that we’ve lost our way.
Our greatest challenge in overcoming darkness is our Will to Keep Going. Tone 6 helps us to see that surrendered to the Creator, we are carried along a path of least resistance. The Truth directs a Flow of Spirit that will lead us to toward the Light. We accomplish Spiritual Growth through “experiences of overcoming.”
This is a day to honor our emotions as the Language of the Heart. Like a picture’s worth a thousand words, our Hearts reveal the Condition of our Spirit. The Creator hears our Call and will respond with a Divine Discernment. Whether it be an audible voice, an idea, or a knowing, AKBAL attunes us to hear it.
Night/AKBAL connects the Intellect and Intuition, and the Conscious and unconscious, to amplify our Spiritual Senses. Both our Lower and Higher Self are connected, drawing potential of a discernment that holds up to both intuition and reason.
The AKBAL glyph illustrates a place of darkness where curtains are drawn aside to reveal the Light. AKBAL can draw aside the veil to the Dimension of Spirit. The face of the Monkey is incorporated, the alchemist and creator. Monkey’s eyes appear to be drawing back the curtains. This is a day for a New Dawning of Light, seen through the eyes of Spirit.
To all my relations, may we send a Call from our Heart, expecting to receive a Divine Discernment. May we recognize it as a voice we’ve heard before. May we know Truth that stands up to the inspection of Reason, and Draws us to the Truth of a Divine Spirit. May May we emanate the Power of our Authority, knowing we are vessels for a Greater Power. May we surrender to the Flow of Spirit, under the direction of a Divine Authority who Intended to Share an Experience of Love.

6 Night/AKBAL (Cherokee, Hearth/O’YA)
Galactic Tone 6: Six is responsiveness and the art of negotiation. It is the movement of volume through space that creates time. This energy in action is like the art of dance or a great athlete in motion. Six facilitates dynamic developments in all aspects of life.
Night/Akbal: Bringers of the Dawn. Dreamers who bring the new sun to clarify and illuminate the road of life. Thus the insecurities and doubts born of darkness of the sub-conscious mind are dispelled. These persons travel the Void… a place where nothing yet exists but all potential dwells, the womb of creation. From this void, Night persons bring forth new solutions and artistic inspiration. Night’s voyages of dreams build confidence and happiness with a sense of well being. If night does not bravely journey into the void they may find themselves wandering the darkness of self doubt and insecurity.
Cherokee, Hearth/O’YA: Hearth’s symbol is the fire pit in the Center, velvet black as the night. The triangle in Orion. The M42 nebula (home of the Central race from the WingMakers) in the center of the triangle of Orion is the fire in the Hearth, also matching the Mayan. The Hearth is the Torchbearer who holds the light and warmth throughout the night.
