MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
Tone 8 is a Peak Tone of Transformation, carried out as a Divine Intervention. 8 is the Number of “pure spirit.” The Intention of 8 is Abundance and Divine Justice. Tone 8 is the Holy Day of the trecena that Transforms our Faith into Belief.
Crocodile/IMIX returns us to the arms of a Divine Mother. She is the primordial Mother that witnessed our first Conscious thoughts. IMIX nourishes our Consciousness through Inspiration and “wild ideas.” IMIX is the Mother of Innovation that inspires us to create something new.
IMIX calls us to the realm of our imagination, encouraging us to remember this is our Source of All Possibility. We can create whatever we imagine. We must imagine what we would create. We’re encouraged to believe that a Divine Way will present itself, as long as we Love the Dream. Love is the experience most intended by the Creator. Following our Passion we will be seen as “genius” by those around us, daring to Dream what others discern as improbable or impossible.
2nd Uinal: On 8 Crocodile/IMIX we enter the 2nd Uinal of the Tzolk’in. In the new “harvest cycle” of the 260-day Tzolk’in round, the 2nd Uinal will complete our cycle of germination. The 2nd Uinal is the catalyst for accelerated growth. 2 is the Number of Duality. Human discernment is based on comparison. This is a time of reflecting on the experiences of one thing compared to another. We can complete a Higher Understanding of the two sides of our Self.
IMIX interrupts the thoughts of the reasoning mind. A characteristic of IMIX’s inspiration is that it often comes as random ideas, when we are thinking about something else. They are thoughts we can easily discern came from “someplace else.” IMIX is day when we can experience a “download” of information or discernment. (Take note of wild ideas that don’t make any sense. They can mean something later.)
On the Peak Tone 8 we are guided by “pure spirit.” Offering a Dream for the Highest Good of All, a Creator Dreams for us what we Dream for our Self.
Tone 8 is often a milestone of Spiritual Experience. We are drawn into communion with Divine Consciousness. This is a day of Spiritual Gifts and Knowing. 8 Crocodile/IMIX can help us Believe in our Powers of Creation. IMIX would celebrate our “wildest dreams” as the ones that will return the most evidence of Divine Intervention.
8 Crocodile/IMIX is a New Dawning of our Identity and the truth of the Balance created from every realm of our Consciousness. This is a day to be Conscious of the synchronicity in our lives. The things we take for granted as coincidence may be reflecting the Divine Balance… small evidence of our Intention balancing in the world. IMIX’s Highest Hope for us is to believe our Dreams Come True.
Tone 8 is the most powerful of all the Tones to present a Spiritual Experience. IMIX extends the Consciousness of Compassionate Love. Through a Spiritual Gift of Discernment we can recognize a Higher Power supports the Dream we Love and Dreams the Dream for us.
The Inspiration of IMIX can be a little disorienting. Don’t feel compelled to “figure anything out.” Just Be. Our imagination is the fertile soil where the Seed of Inspiration will grow.
The Jaguar/IX trecena is a walk in darkness. The Human mind is awakened and we are trying to remain Conscious of the Inspiration IMIX shared in the last trecena. We are applying Human Will to a Spirit Intention. As the Seed, we are germinating in the dark, trying to Remember the Light of a new beginning. We bear the “reality” of being Human. We’re preoccupied with our survival.
The planted Seed Knows direction through its sense of gravity. It Knows the way to the Light by recognizing the thing that pulls it down. It’s a Miracle that all this information is stored in the smallest seeds. A Seed Knows it must find its way to the Light. Seed is persistent in navigating the obstacles, holding the cellular memories of Light. So do we have to experience what pulls us down to create the Passion to Reach Up for the Light.
The 1st and 2nd uinals can be particularly inward cycles. Through an Ascension from the 13th uinal we started over from a Higher Consciousness. We are still figuring out how it will work in the world. We are learning to Believe again what our Human eyes can’t see.
Through Intention we direct our Consciousness to a Meaning and Purpose.
I watched a Chickadee doing his “scout” routine this morning. They are such a joy to watch. The scout is the first to arrive. He doesn’t eat anything. He sits on the rail for a minute, quickly shifting his head around taking inventory of the different places I’ve left the seed. This morning it seemed to be happening in slow motion, long enough for me to wonder what he was thinking. Next, he takes one seed and returns to the nest. Then, they all return together for breakfast. I wondered how he shared the news. This small thing has the Consciousness of Intention to manifest its own Meaning and Purpose, a role and identity.
To all my relations, may we take note of the random thoughts that come to us. May we notice what we were thinking and doing when they appeared. May we recognize and acknowledge the thoughts we have for no reason as a clue that deserves further inspection. May this be a day when we lay reason aside and return to the Dream. May we see ourselves as the newborn child prodigies of the Creator. May we remember that chaos is a part of every major change. May we see how we can shape-shift to any realm of Consciousness, and Remember the realm of Spirit is the place of Knowing.

A NEW COMMITMENT TO GRATITUDE:
I’m sharing a the “21-Days of Gratitude” as a perpetual Personal Ceremony through the next journey to 8 Monkey/CHUEN Maya New Year. The “21 days” begin and end on Jaguar/IX.
21-Days of Gratitude: Day 8
I’m grateful for wild ideas and all signs of Spiritual Inspiration. I’m grateful that they don’t stop coming, even when we fail to act on them.

8 Crocodile/IMIX (Cherokee Turtle/ DAK’SI I’SB)
Galactic Tone 8: Justice. Harmony and balance are the intent of Eight. Eights carefully weigh all evidence to reach a balance of justice. Eight is the power of organization demonstrated in the statement, “As above, so below.” From simplicity to infinity, the energy of Eight organizes all levels of creation. Some Eights are “Neat Freaks”.
Crocodile/IMIX: Crocodile receives messages of primal creative force; simply the beginning of all things. Crocodiles who follow their hearts are seen as genius. There is no order to the primal messages, so Crocodile persons should direct their energies toward practical and cooperative efforts to bring productive results. Crocodiles have a strong nurturing energy and will work hard to provide security to family and friends. Being extremely territorial, Crocodiles must watch not to be over protective or too dominating. While in these states, Crocodiles are insecure, indecisive and emotionally volatile.
Cherokee Turtle/ DAK’SI I’SB: Symbol, Turtle Island. Direction East. The Turtle Constellation Orion, one of three stars in the Cosmic Egg. In Mayan this is the Cosmic Hearth. Energy of Creative force at the one-on-one, personal level; dawn, awakening, birth. The beginning of each new era, this star in Orion appears with the rising Sun, heralding the creation of a new World cycle. TOTEM Imix/Dragon – Energy to understand all things sacred. Creation energy, connection for visions to learn the mysteries of the Universal knowledge. The dragon carries the source energy of life, revered in ancient cultures for power and wisdom.
