MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
On Tone 13 we Ascend to a Higher Consciousness. 13 is the number of “magic” and theurgy, the Power we hold to make the direct connection to God, through our rituals, and Sacred Ceremonies. 13 represents the Gift we were given to call a Divine Creator to intervene is our Human affairs. 13 is the Gift of the Power of Prayer.
With each Ascension, our prayers become more powerful as our own Will becomes more closely aligned with the Will of the Creator. With each Ascension, we become more like the Grass that can bend without being broken. The weight of our suffering will seem Lighter, knowing we’ll rise again in a better place to grow. We’ll naturally be drawn to more fertile soil, the people and places where the Light shines the brightest.
Seed/KAN represents the Consciousness within the Seed and the Force brought to Life by the process of germination. The Seed knows what it needs to grow. It Knows that its nourishment will be found anchoring its roots in Mother Earth and how to reach for the Light. Seed holds a Passionate Intention to reach it, pressing onward through and around any obstacles.
The Strength of KAN is the Power to draw what is needed to grow. Seed holds the ability to draw abundance, as if casting a net. Seed is capable to push away negative influences and the destructive behaviors of our past through a clearing of karma. When Human makes a profound investigation into itself, it will discover these same Forces within.
Our Ascension is the Higher Consciousness of our Identity as a Seed. The Divine Intention of the Road/EB trecena was the Human experience of living as a Divine Being. Our Prayer to rise above our Human Nature was the Sacred Ceremony we offered at the Beginning. The Ascension of the 13 is the Divine Answer from Above. 13 Seed/KAN reveals that the Power to live by our Divine Nature lies in the Heart of the Seed.
The Cherokee relate the force within the Seed to the Dragon. The dragon has been a symbol of Divine Consciousness down through history, and relates to a Higher Vibration of thought. The ley lines that surround the Earth, called “dragon lines” by some, were places of Higher Vibration and unseen power. The primary strength of the Dragon is a Power to “see clearly.” Through a profound investigation into the Seed, we are given a Gift to “Clearly See” our Divine Nature.
The Maya revered Corn as a symbol of the Seed of Human. Corn grew side-by-side in many colors, fit perfectly together as One in Divine Order. From one Seed, many would grow and multiply. Planting only the very best seed from each generation, the corn would grow stronger to reach its Highest Potential for Abundance.
The Earth and the Sun are the greatest influences on the growth of a seed. Some Seeds, like the Grass, grow to their full potential without any help from a Human hand. The best Seeds of Corn are grown by Human in collaboration with Earth and Sun. Human’s greatest contribution is to choose the best seed and plant it in the best environment for it to grow. The rest is left up to the Divine Hand of the Creator.
Human’s way to live by our Divine Nature is by Identifying the best Seeds of our Self. This requires an investigation into our special gifts and talents. We would direct our Dreams, the Seeds of our Intention, to a course we were naturally drawn to follow. We would know it as the thing we love the most to do.
We would know the most fertile soil for our Seed, as the place where we have the Freedom to Grow. We would naturally free ourselves from environments that reinforced our limitations. We wouldn’t halt our own progress by resentment, or an effort to change the mind of another, we would just press on toward the Light.
This Power and Discernment held inside a tiny seed is Divine. It’s a Miracle. Human effort has nothing to do with this. When a Seed meets Earth and Sky it will grow into what it was designed to be. But with the help of a Human hand, the Seed will bear its Greatest Possible Abundance on Mother Earth.
Some are afraid to follow the path of Spirit if they see the journey as the straight and narrow path between “right and wrong.” Seeing how often we fail, how could we ever hope to see our own divinity if this was what all we aimed for? Better to drift along with life than to suffer our failure. The Unlimited Power we were given to Grow is Unconditional Love. Of course there are “right” and “wrong” ways of doing things, but we’ll never get around the obstacles in an “Effort to be Right.”
The power we hold to surmount every obstacle is Love. An “Effort to Love” is all we need. Love is what the Human Seed was meant to gather to itself to grow. If we’re doing something “wrong” it’s because we need more Love. If we don’t know our direction, we need more Love. If we feel stepped on by the injustice of the world, we just need more Love.
A Miracle of God’s Creation was that we were planted in the Center of Love. No matter where we are, the Earth’s Beauty returns an Expression of the Creator’s Love for us. Mother Earth is the Divine place God created to plant the Seed of our Spirit. The Gifts of Mother Earth insured that no matter where we were, even if we never saw another Human Being, we could see Love and the Magic of the Creator.
We are blessed with such an Unlimited Path to Love. There’s no way we could be Conscious and not see the unlimited experiences of Love around us. No net could hold the Bounty we could draw into Abundance. Some might find their True Love etching images on a grain of rice. (What passion possesses Human to do such a thing?) Others might carve huge statues out of stone. Some would write music, and others would sing and dance. Some would till the soil and others would be caretakers. When we’re doing what we Love, we exist in our Divine Nature.
Seed/KAN helps us to clearly see the Unseen Miracles in who we are. A newborn baby is a Human Seed holding the potential to live for more than 100 years. Human can’t conceive the Miracle of a Divine Spirit that lives for eternity. Our experiences of Love are the Treasures that last forever.
It’s our Human Nature that worries about time. We want everything now, because we’re afraid of not getting it later. Our Ego is afraid that dreams won’t come true. The Gift of our Divine Nature is that within our Seed is a Promise of the Ending created from the Beginning.
An Ascension is a Flight to Heaven, a release of Spirit into the Up Above. At Tone 13 we are led by the 13th Dancer who moves within the Breath of Life and Spirit. In the end, our Divine Destiny won’t be a celebration of Human effort. We’ll be joined together in a Celebration of what Love created.
Today is a day to Celebrate who we are. We can celebrate the Light that was Created by Love. We can acknowledge the Miracle of how much Light has been generated by what began as one small Spark.
To all my relations, as we Ascend Knowing the Promise of our Divine Destination, may we consider how beautiful it is that our Spirit is grown by Love. May we acknowledge Love as the most abundant resource in the Whole of Creation. May we imagine how much easier life will be defined as a Mission of Love instead of a Mission to be Right. May we acknowledge how little of the process is left up to Human effort, and how much of it is led by the One Above. May we tear up the list of all the things we need to make Right. May we start a new list of everything we Love. May we give thanks that our Divine Nature instinctively knew the Path to Choose that leads to our Divine Destiny.

13 Seed/KAN (Cherokee, Dragon/UKTE’NA)
Galactic Tone 13: Ascension; Thirteen assists us to go to the next higher step, propels us to try something new or to try again. Thirteen energy takes us over the next mountain just to see what is there. Thirteen carries the last success to the newest effort. Thirteen is a number associated with the Ascended Masters, creation, expansion, and manifestation.
Seed/KAN: Family, sexual activity and the magic of germination are the characteristics of this sun sign. Natural net workers, Seed people strive to free themselves and others from debt or oppressive patterns of the past. Abundance is gathered by Seeds as if with a cast net. Seed persons are public defenders who work toward uniting community by discovering hidden traps and secret influences of others. To generate true abundance, Seed must learn to appreciate all gifts and lessons received and conduct profound investigations into its self. In the absence of gratefulness and the courage to face oneself, Seed finds itself in less than less fertile environments.
Cherokee, Dragon/UKTE’NA: Dragon’s symbol is Draco winding between the Little Dipper and Big Dipper. Dragon is the Corn Spirit, symbol of dual personality of Corn Mother and Maiden. Fertility and pro-creation from generation to generation. The word dragon means ”eye, to look at, to see clearly”. Spirit brings energy of Lawgiver, Justice, vigilance and protective, loyal unto death. Ley lines in China are “dragon lines”, energy is sometimes called “orgone energy,” pyramid power or magnetic force. Pyramids and kivas are collector portals for this energy, known as vortexes. Dragon energy beats a path everywhere, stirring things up with a big stick in tune with the beat of the drum, heartbeat of the Earth.

I love to hear from you. Share your thoughts on the day, your Day Sign, or just say Hi!
It finally sunk in that 41 years ago, I was awaiting the birth of my firstborn. We were hoping for July 7, 1977 to make it 7/7/77. 🙂 Here I am again, on July 7, watching and waiting for Finch to break out of their shells. 12 AKBAL feels like watching and waiting for dreams that materialize.
