3 Flint / ETZNAB – Inheritance of Wisdom: Day 3 of 13

3 Flint / ETZNAB

Greetings Kin,

Tone 3 brings our first day of movement. We bring a new Intention to Life through our first movement toward it. Intention is the way of Spirit’s movement in the world. Tone 3 is a day to disseminate a new idea from the realm of Spirit.

ETZNAB is a Day Sign that “wields the sword of truth so falsehoods can be cut away.” The Flint Knife is said to reveal truth that cuts to the bone. “Mirror” is another name for this Day Sign, representing the Truth perfectly reflected by an Obsidian Mirror. Through a gift of clarity, Flint is capable to separate Truth from Fiction.

Guided by the Ascended Masters under the trecena of Wisdom/CIB, they show us that the way forward to our Dream can be known by our discernment of Truth.

Flint shares the truth we didn’t expect, truth that was either hidden or covered up. Flint can help us make our way in the world by clearly seeing the motives of false truth. Flint’s truth is said to be delivered along the path of a lightning strike. Whatever truth presents itself today is likely to come as a bolt out of the blue.

The Flint knife is the sacred instrument that cuts to the heart. It can change a long-held belief that we formed about our self or others that wasn’t true. Flint is said to offer a clearing of karma, sweeping away the false truth that prevented us from seeing a way forward.

Flint is said to present us with temptation to “act out of character.” Though, our impulsive response reveals what we really think. Flint intends to make its truth known. If we bend to our temptation, we can expect the full consequences. If we are conscious of our thoughts, we can learn the same lesson an easier way. This is a day when we are all inclined to such behavior, so it is recommended to offer wide berth to others. People act out on Flint days.

Flint’s truth can also present Truth as a “stroke of genius.” We could see a way around something we never thought of before, something that now seems obvious.

One of the “strokes of genius” in my first round of the Tzolk’in was the discovery of rules I created for myself. It started with a rule that this journal must be written after midnight. For the first 3 months, that meant I was flying out of bed every morning near 3am, hoping to finish before I had to start work at 7am. I don’t know where the rule came from but it sure made the 260-day commitment feel all the more impossible. Discovering that I could schedule the post for 12AM doesn’t sound like genius, but it significantly changed my daily experience.

It was an awesome discovery that led me to wonder what other rules were in operation. I was just beginning to take up painting. I found another rule that it was “cheating” to draw the picture before you painted it. I have no idea where I got that rule.

The Elders present us with an awesome lesson of discovering why we do the things we do. Flint can raise our false truth the surface so we can Choose our “rules” based on Truth we’ve taken the time to discern. These are among the archeological treasures waiting to be discovered in our Self. We’ll discover that Truth really does set us free.

My darkest days were an experience of not knowing my direction in life. I felt there were no clear choices, so no way to move forward. I was living for a future I couldn’t imagine. Our future will be born in our Conscious thoughts of today. Even when we don’t know what to do, we know what not to do. It may feel like inch-by-inch progress when we look at it that way, but in the process we’ll see a path cleared before us. All we have to worry about is the Love we can create today. All we have to remember is our Intention to fulfill the Creator’s Meaning and Purpose for us. Through the Divinity of our Intention, we will be carried forward in the Flow of Spirit.

The Blessing of Flint/ETZNAB is our Conscious Discernment of Truth. When Flint’s truth hits today, we’ll Know it is the Truth by the way it feels. Truth feels like something we knew all along. It may be something we had a gut feeling about, but didn’t acknowledge. Or, like my “midnight rule” it can hit like, “Of course, why didn’t I think of that.” Flint gifts us with the sense of clearly seeing the Truth – we will Know it when we hear it.

This is an awesome Spiritual Gift when we take the time to think about it. When we know what Truth feels like, we also know what false truth feels like. False truth always leaves us with unanswered questions. Try as we might to believe it, something doesn’t add up. We can also choose false truth because we want so badly to believe it. In this case, we might find ourselves listing all the “signs” that its true, because we don’t KNOW that it’s true.

I remember a particular setback when the truth was presented that was too good to be true. Because I couldn’t discern it for myself, I put my faith in someone else’s truth. Hoping their false truth was the Real Truth, I ignored my own intuition as well as the wisdom of an advisor. (When I don’t know how to say “no,” I still keep “Let me think about it” as a ready tool in my back pocket.)

The Elders would remind us that every Spiritual Gift we are given serves the same purpose of Knowing the Truth. Our very mission is to follow the path of our own Truth. No one else will ever see everything the way we do. That’s what makes us so special to the Creator. Each one of us has something Equally Special in our perspective of life’s experience.

We must also see that ours is not the only Truth or the ultimate Truth. We must honor the Truth of others, and always be open to our own perception of a Higher Truth.

To all my relations, this is a day of a Great Blessing of Wisdom. The Truth was central to everything the Creator wanted us to know. There was a great deal of effort in the design of a Creation that was guided by Principles and Laws of Truth that we could always rely on. Truth is central to our discernment of Cause and Effect. Our Truth will always lead us to the next right thing to do. May we thank God for this Gift of Knowing Truth. May we know that Truth and Beauty are both Expressions of the Creator’s Love. May we have Faith in what we Know is True and Acknowledge the Gifts of Consciousness that gives us the Senses to Know it. May we give thanks for the Truth we learn today. No matter how it presents itself, may we count it among our blessings as a gift that will serve as our compass for direction. May we never be afraid of the Truth. May we realize that the “truth we fear” is always an illusion. Even when the Truth is not what we wanted to hear, it will feel good when we hear it because we will Know the next right thing to do.

In lak’ech, I am another you

I’m grateful for Truth that always shines a light on the best way forward. I’m grateful that Truth is a God-given Gift so we can know that it will lead us in a Divine Direction.

3 Flint/ETZNAB (Cherokee, Flint/DAWI’SGALA)

Galactic Tone 3: Action. Three is basic movement and communication, which begins as a vibration. Three energy is very eloquent in all types of self-expression. Communication is how Three establishes a point of agreement between any point “A” and any point “B”. Three persons are rhythmic to the core and are often restless, as motion is their nature. By working closely with the energy of Three, any person becomes more able to predict motions of all kinds.

Flint/ETZNAB: Mirror of reality. As a struck flint, these persons are the divine sparks of intelligence. Flint’s innate abilities are utilized to discriminate emotions from fact. Flint persons stand tireless to protect, defend, or cure others by personal sacrifice. By courageously wielding the sword of truth, falsehoods are cut away. Flints, it was said, can receive information on inter-personal troubles or evil plots of others by reflecting in an obsidian mirror. Their valiant service as warriors of the truth must be impeccable or they will experience sufferings of accidents, misunderstandings and gossip.

Cherokee, Flint/DAWI’SGALA: Flint’s symbol is Chawa’ or Castor of the Castor and Pollux Twins in Gemini.  Castor appears in the evening personifying darkness. Pollux then appears in the east at dawn to end the night. Totem is a Flint Knife.  Flint spirit shone a light like the sun and gave the people the Sacred Venus Calendar, fixed the days and promised to watch over the earthlings.  A flint person endeavors to keep that covenant.  Opener of the Way, a creator, innovator, stretches the mind to outside limits of capabilities. Changes the static to the dynamic.  Brings about change, often through separation and destruction.  Beams the Stellar Ray of Truth to Earth as a crystal sword cast down along the path of a lightning flash. The transformer brings things to a head and wipes the slate clean.

Chichen Itza (El Castillo calendar pyramid)

The reality of the journey has set in with the arrival of October. The jaguar has already begun my journey into the unknown. I’ve already imagined myself before the stairs of El Castillo pyramid making my offering of Sacred Ceremony and the prayers I will share for all of us.

Those that have been there before have reminded me I’m going to a tropical jungle, where real jaguars walk in stealth.

The Quetzal bird is revered by the Maya “god of the air” and a symbol of “goodness and light.”

I hadn’t thought much about the possibility of seeing or hearing a Quetzal bird or a Yucatan Spider Monkey. The timing close to November should offer a slight drop from the highest temperatures, and a little more potential for rain.

I’ve already followed a jaguar’s path to Ek’ Balam, imaging a place that might present itself to leave an offering for Ian Lungold. I’ve imagined the connection that could be made there.

I’ve climbed a few steps, resting near the bottom to see how I am capable to accomplish the task if I take it a few steps at a time.

I’ve already looked back from the future, from a dream I once thought could never come true for me.

I can see that a Miracle still lies beyond the Dream. I still can’t imagine what it could be. My Intention is to honor every moment and surprise in the experience as a path that was laid before me as the Divine Justice for a Deeply Held Dream of Consciousness. You have been a part of making my dream come true. much love, in lak’ech, Debra https://www.gofundme.com/life-dream-a-pilgrimage-of-spirit

A continued eternal thank you for sharing your day keeper posts and the knowledge of the ancestors. We are grateful to the ancestors who thought enough of their progeny to save and pass on knowledge and inspire our continuation of the Aztec and the Mayan Day Keeper’s Journal traditions.

I continue to actively apply and respond to the principles discussed in your daily posts, and to work on self-reorganization thru reflecting on my perceptions. Your posts are helping me to understand the influences of cosmic forces on our everyday existence. Again, bless you for your work, I am intent to change my consciousness not just for myself, but for the whole. Bless you and the Ancestors for sharing.
