5 Monkey / CHUEN – A Divine Purpose: Day 5 of 13

THE TRECENA OF DEER/MANIK

5 Monkey / CHUEN

MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

Greetings Kin,

Tone 5 holds the Intention of Empowerment. Representing the Center of the cube, Tone 5 facilitates dynamic growth as resources are drawn together. We are empowered by our Spiritual Tools, as we discern their service in application.

Monkey/CHUEN offers the perspective of a Creator. CHUEN is the Master of all Art and the Weaver of Time. The glyph illustrates “time rolled up” on the Monkey’s head. Monkey uses time to create the tapestry of our Life to create a thing of Beauty.

Human is a Creator of the Art of Living. Following the ways of the Monkey, our Lives can be turned into a Living Masterpiece. Our lives were all intended to be a Masterpiece of Beauty, manifested by the Unconditional Love of the Creator. Our lives will be a thing of beauty following Beauty and Love like the Monkey.

Monkey/CHUEN follows its instincts of curiosity, invested in the beauty it discovers In the Moment. Monkey investigates its discoveries of Beauty and Love, seeing how the threads are woven into our lives. CHUEN is said to never complete most of what it starts. CHUEN helps us see that Creating is an end in itself. The Monkey moves on as soon as something more beautiful captures its attention.

The Monkey is not attached to the outcome, and holds no preconceived expectations. Monkey loves all the mysteries of life. CHUEN follows the threads of our experience from one end to the other.

Our emotions are healed taking this approach. We don’t have anything to prove to our Self or Others. Creation can be a happy pastime that we engage for the sheer joy of the process. We can check our ego at the door when we create for the personal pleasure of engaging beauty in the moment. Every expression will be a masterpiece like no other… all the better if we color outside the lines.

Monkey guides us to not take our Self or Life so seriously. Life is supposed to be fun. We are best poking fun at our Self than making judgements. We can investigate our Self for the curiosities we are. Instead of seeing “mistakes” we can see the humor of our silly human tricks.

The Cherokee Raccoon is recognized as the trickster who coaxes a smile. Monkey is capable to laugh at itself when it forgets. We take our creations very seriously. We approach the whole process as very hard work. At least it demonstrates our passion, though the creation won’t be completed until we let it go into the Hands of the Creator.

It doesn’t have to be “perfect” and it won’t be “perfect” as long as our Dream is held tightly in our Human hands. In our Highest State of Consciousness we’ll know that perfection wasn’t demanded by the Creator. We are sharing ideas for Creation. Where the Human imagination initiates the Creator completes in its most Divine Manifestation.

Yesterday on Dog/OC I walked out the door Intending to love. When I drove home, I realized I’d forgotten to be Conscious of the Intention. My first thought was failure. Then I looked back at the day. I WAS the Dog, milling around at a meeting, engaging friendly faces. Walking away to the next when I encountered gossip. God was Intervening on my behalf, so that I didn’t have to Remember. I Know we are Changed by Divine Intervention. I usually spend meeting breaks catching up on my computer.

Mystical experiences are possible on Monkey/CHUEN as we enter the “play of creation.” Monkey is a time-traveler, capable to return to any experience to discover the beauty it missed the first time. When we were children we were experts at Creation. We totally invested our Self as all the things we pretended to be. We pretended for the pleasure of the experience. We put on our parents shoes to imagine what we might be someday.

CHUEN connects our Intuition, Creativity, and Intellect for Creation. CHUEN gives us the Freedom to pursue whatever our heart desires in any moment. We don’t have to finish anything, when something new and more beautiful captures our attention.

This is a very necessary understanding, because we are always changing. Our interests change. The more Conscious we become, the more beautiful our creations will be. Why finish something, when you see a more beautiful dream? We would only do that if we had something to prove. We are TRYING to discover our most beautiful creation. The Monkey and Racoon would remind us that our first creation was a “mud pie.” We could have perfected that, but then we’d only have a perfect mud pie. (Though, the Creator would still adore it and set it on the dinner table.)

The Creator Loves us and everything we create. Like a parent who hangs the children’s artwork on the refrigerator, every work is a masterpiece of personal expression. Art illustrates a Moment of Consciousness, drawn wholly from Spirit. The colors aren’t chosen because they are “right or wrong,” but wholly as the next most beautiful color we want to explore.

Monkey can raise our Consciousness to our own discernment of Beauty. What is it, exactly, that leads Human to the discernment that something is beautiful?

Monkey knows that Beauty and Love both solicit the same Human response of drawing us into the moment. We can Know that whenever we encounter Beauty, we are Seeing through the Eyes of our Spirit. We are Conscious of the Divinity of Creation when we see something beautiful. Mother Earth is right outside the door.

We can discover the Creator’s presence in our lives, through all the beauty we’ve ever encountered. Beauty and Love are never forgotten. We can go back and re-write our own life story, piecing together the threads of beauty we missed the first time around. Through a curious investigation of all the beauty in our life, we’ll see the Truth of Love Multiplied to Abundance.

We can discover injustice was never Intended. Our perception was a failure of discernment. Injustice is a failure of Human limitation. In many cases, the prevailing Intention was Love, with a few silly human tricks thrown in. We expected our parents to never fail. One failure, or many, doesn’t disprove a parent’s Love. It only proves they’re Human.

The Racoon loves shiny things. It knows it can take our “trash” and shine it up like new with a little water. Monkey represents the Element of Water that holds the Ether of Spirit. Monkey creates seeing through the eyes of all possibility. Residing in the West, the direction of our Unknown Experiences, Monkey delights in all the possibilities, seeing nothing to fear.

Beauty lies in the experience of “Love in the Moment.” One of my most beautiful childhood memories of my Mother is her sitting at my feet tying my shoes. There’s no way I could ever produce beauty on a canvas that could match the experience I remember. I can still feel the laces being drawn together and the comfort of a shoe securely fastened to my foot. I can still remember Love that was given in the moment as a small detail of everyday. I don’t remember a birthday without a cake. My “horrible life” was always overflowing with Love.

Why would we choose the darkest threads when we can choose the most beautiful experiences to define our lives? Hmmm. That seems like the silliest human trick of all.

The Tzolk’in is reprogramming our thoughts and perspectives. We’re uncovering our false truth, so we can live in the Truth of how beautiful our lives really are. We were given unlimited opportunities, and the freedom to choose a time and place for anything we want to create.

To all my relations, may creation be an adventure led by Beauty. May we look for Beauty far and wide. May we know that any place and time that we could return to holds more love than we could see through a single experience. There’s a whole lot of beautiful experiences that were left in the past, for our discovery in the future. We will always find what we’re looking for. Our whole effort is a recreation of how we identify our Self. We write our life story by the threads we raise to the surface of our tapestry. May we “get over our Self” and see all the Beauty we’ve been offered in our life. May we give thanks that the Creator doesn’t demand the perfection that Human demands. May we see how much fun life could be, if we just moved on to discover the next beautiful thing we could see. May we cease to define our story, staring at a few dark threads. May we claim the Beauty of the Whole Picture, and experiences we can Love with all our Senses.

5 Monkey/CHUEN (Cherokee, Raccoon/KVH’LI)

Galactic Tone 5: Empowerment. At the center of the cube we find Five. Five is an intelligent, organizing force which manages communications and materials, knowledge and application. Fives are natural net workers who gather what is needed. These persons can probe directly to the core of any situation making them excellent investigators.

Monkey/CHUEN: Monkey is known to the Maya as the Weaver or Weaver of Time. Monkey takes ideas as threads of vines and weaves them into the fabric of our reality. New patterns or inventions are also woven into our lives by Monkey. Amiable, intelligent, generous and a jack of all trades, Monkey’s innocent curiosity leads to artistic expression and constructive solutions. Many Monkeys become highly respected merchants or speakers. They love performing practical jokes and crave attention, so much so that they may over-act or play the fool to get the spotlight. Monkeys have a short attention span and find it difficult to stay with anything long enough to master it.

Cherokee, Raccoon/KVH’LI: Star Symbol: Algol, a star in Perseus. Restless energy yearning for long-lost love. Algol was named DEMON STAR or MISCHIEVOUS ONE by the Ancients because it winks and fades at times. Raccoons are full of friendly mischief, eager to swap kisses for candy; magnetic leaders, full of humor and gaiety. Favorite food is corn, the mainstay of the Cherokee. Very artistic while being the “masked bandit” who steals your heart. Totem Monkey: The energy of humor, the artisan and craftsmen of the Universal energy. Helps us to lighten up in all situations, was the glyph of the 4th world creation in conjunction with OC so that we would have humor in all of our endeavors. The humor, when added to a serious situation will allow you to have a less destructive pattern of resolution. This is the “Cosmic joke” energy to help us transcend the duality. A life path of comedian, actor, artist, artisan writer, satirist, any path is enhanced with this humor in conjunction with the creative energies.
