MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

Greetings Kin,

Peak Tone 8 is the number of “pure spirit” that begins a Transformation. Tone 8 represents the zenith hour of the Sun when all things are brought to Light. The Intention of Tone 8 is the Justice of Harmony and Equity.

Every transformation is built on the Ascension of the last trecena. Reed/BEN was the one that guided our last Ascension. Reed inspired us to see the Light we could share through a Divine Family. We all need someone we can turn to. We can choose the Family that will stand by us and shine for us, like our own flesh and blood were intended to do.

Reed/BEN is the Light of Family and Home. The glyph illustrates an altar, a place we kneel in Humility. From our knees, we demonstrate a faith in something Greater than we are. Our own Power is the Love between us. We can choose the family we Love to hold the Light between us.

We don’t have to miss any of the Blessing intended for Human Beings. We can choose the experiences we draw to our heart. When we make it a Conscious Intention to choose Love, our family can only multiply to abundance. Given a choice between Love and Hate, which would you choose? Which would you choose if you knew either one will multiply to abundance?

Tone 8 holds the power to change our mind about Love in a Divine way. We’ll see that the Justice we Deserve is Happiness and Harmony. What would be the point of the Creator’s intention to every detail of beauty, if we were intended to suffer. A Divine Plan was offered as a provision to those who would choose Love. A Creator would let us know the Choice is Divine. Divine Intentions deserve Miracles. We always all deserve a Miracle. It becomes possible when we Believe we are. If we don’t believe, we can ask to believe.

Everything in me asks to believe that we can all believe in Love. There’s plenty of darkness to see and plenty of unknowns. We help one another by believing together. Together, there will always be another Light we can turn to. Everything is easier when we know we’re not alone. Family helps us remember that every day, we’re given something we can Love. It’s always right in front of us – in the Beauty of Mother Earth.

The Elders defined Reed as an Intention to be the “hollow bone.” The channels of Light shine through when the “flesh is stripped from the bone.” Our human “flesh” is our ego. All our human suffering is generated by what we have that we’re afraid to lose, and all we don’t have that we’re afraid we’ll never get. At an altar, we can humbly look at our self. If we only count our blessings, we’ll always see Love is the greatest of all.

Human knows the value of Love. It’s the blessing that is missed the most when it’s taken away. When it’s taken away, when we think there’s no chance of it – we cease to have a reason to care. It shouldn’t be so hard to see how much we all want and need to be Loved. Withholding Love doesn’t make anyone happier. There’s a way to be authentic with each other, admitting what Love means to us.

We can also all admit that Human can’t perfectly pull it off. Our Divine Justice is that when we try enough to make it an Intention of Being, something Greater will pull it off. We don’t have to depend on our Self or One Another to do what no Human knows how to perfectly do. We were given Love from a Divine Source, so we’d never have to be disappointed in what was lacking from each other. When we lay our ego down, it won’t be so hard to see that they tried and failed. We’re Divine for even trying, when we could only expect to fail sooner or later.

With an Intention to Love, we demonstrate a commitment to others who are Loving for us. On the day of “pure spirit” we can remember that we are all connected as One Divine Consciousness of Being. All our own thoughts are contributed to the One. Every choice to Love is a Blessing to the Whole. Our first commitment to family is to do no harm, and remember that when the family is not happy – neither are we. I can be grateful for my blessings, and at the same time – it isn’t enough as long as others don’t have the same opportunity, the same warm bed, and the same roof for shelter. Our “hollow bone” prayers mean they don’t focus on our own happiness, but a happiness we all deserve.

Reed/BEN lies in the East, a direction of Divine Inspiration. A light will shine on something we’ve tried to understand. We deserve a Divine Return for both the Love that succeeded, and the Human Love that failed, when Receiving was more important than Giving.

To all my relations, may we connect the ties that bind by being grateful for what we have in each other.  May we See and Acknowledge that our family won’t be complete until we all stand on the same side of Love – volunteering to Give whether or not we Receive, and Believing we will Divinely Receive, because we volunteered the Blessing that offered someone else a Choice for Happiness. May we keep choosing Love, Believing that Love is always the Miracle.

Galactic Tone 8: Justice. Harmony and balance are the intent of Eights carefully weighs all evidence to reach a balance of justice. Eight is the power of organization demonstrated in the statement ‘as above, so below,’ from simplicity to infinity, the energy of eight organizes all levels of creation, some eights are ‘neat freaks.’

Reed/BEN: Reed persons are the spiritual essence, protectors and guiding light for family and home. They are competent speakers who will take up a cause. Very tough and analytical, Reeds endeavor to bring peace, harmony and order to all o their relations. Reeds are blessed with great skill at negotiations and consoling which are very often put to the test. Although Reeds need a lot of appreciation, may have marriage or business problems because of inflexible vies and high expectations, which erode affinity. The lesson for Reed is to be like a garden hose, not a steel pipe. Bless or repair your house.

Cherokee, Reed/I’HYA: REED- Symbol-Reed is the Earth, reflection of the Star Chaga of Pollux. Reed made up the Magician Twins who led the journey to bring back to life the daughter of the Sun. The Casket is Gemini.  Energy for Intellectual minds, creation, re-creation, new directions, breaking the ties that bind.  A trailblazer and leader. From the East, direction of success and happiness, no matter what route is taken, always ending up in the Light.
