MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
On Tone 13 we Ascend to a Higher Consciousness. Tone 13 is the symbol of theurgy, the ability to call on the Power of a Divine Agency to Intervene in Human Affairs. Tone 13 symbolizes a Higher Consciousness of a Truth of Answered Prayers. From a Higher Perspective we see new possibilities and are drawn to try again, or to reach for something new.
13 Serpent/CHICCHAN is the Guardian of our first Season of Spiritual Growth. 13 CHICCHAN is the Truth of an Ending that was Promised from the Beginning. The Seed of a new generation of Consciousness was Awakened by a Spark of Consciousness and an Intention To Be.
Serpent/CHICCHAN is the catalyst that lights the fuse of Life Force itself. On 13 CHICCHAN we Ascend with a Consciousness of Truth that what was intended from a Divine Beginning WILL always Be True at the End.
CHICCHAN resides in the East holding the Element of Fire. CHICCHAN holds the Power of Knowing that ignites ALL our Gifts of Truth. CHICCHAN shares “Lightning in the Blood,” the Gift the Maya claimed as the Sixth Sense of the Heart. CHICCHAN represents the Fire of Consciousness that was shared Body and Soul. Days led by CHICCHAN are marked by a Revelation that engages our Whole Being.
This is a day to pay attention to gut instincts and Gifts of Knowing that we can FEEL. The Serpent/Snake moves by Vibration. It Feels its way by the vibration of Movement through Mother Earth. CHICCHAN is a day when we can feel the Quickening of Spirit.
CHICCHAN is a Sense that sends a charge to the Heart and “bestirs our blood to speak.” CHICCHAN awakens a Sense that connects the Hearts of the Whole. We can recognize through CHICCHAN that Knowing is a Divine Communion, a gift we don’t have to conjure. CHICCHAN is the Gift that Speaks to our Heart. We only have to See and Acknowledge that it’s True.
Our “Blood Speaks” when our Heart shares the Witness of our Spirit. CHICCHAN is the Kundalini energy that travels up the spine to the top of our head, leaving goosebumps and hair standing on end. We are ALL Gifted by Design in Harmony and Equity. We all hold the Same Supernatural Gifts. We expect them to be an “other worldly” experience, though our most Special Gifts are COMMON. 13 Serpent/CHICCHAN helps us to Feel our COMMON Gift. When we See and Acknowledge the Truth, the Gift will Grow.
The Serpent, CHICCHAN, holds the Power to shed its skin to leave the past behind and to expand and grow into something New. CHICCHAN is a symbol of the Feathered Serpent, Kulkulkan, that descends as a Light from Above. CHICCHAN connects us to Truth of Lightning that connects our Human hearts.
We feel CHICCHAN when we see a Bride walk down the aisle, or when a child walks across the stage to be recognized for an accomplishment. It’s a sense of danger or conflict when we enter a room. CHICCHAN can guide us to the places where we are meant to be. The Gift can also help us strike out of a corner, believing in our Own Way to a Dream.
CHICCHAN will help us shed the skin of our Human identity to emerge as something Greater. CHICCHAN engages the Spiritual Tools of Knowing Truth that we can’t See with Human eyes, that we WILL Know without any evidence by the Consciousness that grabs our heart.
The is a day to Celebrate the Truth of Answered Prayer and the Living Proof of an Unseen Power Above that holds the Light of ALL Truth.
The Elders taught us to look across the Medicine Wheel from each Season of the Year. Looking back, could it only be one year ago that I spent Halloween at Ek’ Balam? The “Black Jaguar” ruins offer an Illumination of Darkness as the “Star Jaguar.” A Gift of CHICCHAN was offered through the Holy Ground shared by Intention with the Whole.
I was 20 pounds heavier and unprepared for the heat of the jungle, even in a cooler season. The air was thick, and like water, magnified the vibration of sound into a tangible experience. Six of us gathered there to remember Ian Xel Lungold’s Destiny Kin, 12 AHAU, 13 years since his passing on October 31, 2018. His last Dream was to be a Light for us among the Legions of Light on the “otherside.” Six of us showed up together in Ek’ Balam on Halloween to claim for Ian that his Spirit called us to a Time and Place.
We offered a Sacred Ceremony of Forgiveness for the Whole. It was carried out in a stumbling and falling human way, like every Sacred Dance. CHICCHAN is the experience of Truth that descends. I felt the birds chirp – the energy that propelled the sound. The Iguana that looked at me was a tangible communion of Seeing and Acknowledging one another.
The Elders cautioned how important it is to command that every communion of Spirit only be with the Holy, Holy, Holy, in the Highest Intentions for the Whole. All others – dark energy that passes by – can be seen and acknowledged, “Who Are You, and what do you want?” The darkness holds all possibility. The Elders say all things want to be Seen and Acknowledged. We can send fears away with a Blessing, giving thanks for the experience to make a Choice.
13 Serpent/CHICCHAN represents a Force of Life that has been carrying out a Divine Medicine Work on our Behalf – the Answer to our Prayers to Know the Truth of Unconditional Love. All things can be forgiven when they are Forged by the Fire of Unconditional Love.
We are Human and we are Spirit. We can Forgive the Creator for the Time it takes to Know the Truth of Love. We can claim that Knowing we were always One, is a Gift of Wisdom we could have only Seen on a Journey through the Darkness. Darkness can become our Light when we see ALL the Possibilities of Light that we long for and imagine there. There is Beauty in Darkness that holds the Balance by always being Invisible.
We were born Divine Human Beings, alive in a living world of Beauty and Love. May we claim the truth we knew in the beginning. We were given all the talents and tools to carry out a Divine Mission of Love. Human limits wouldn’t hold back an Intention of Spirit. Through a Choice for Divine Intervention, what was begun as a Leap of Faith would be carried out by a Promise of Divine Justice.
The Elders said that during Times of the Unknown, a Divine Medicine Work is being carried out on our behalf. The Guardian, Serpent/CHICCHAN is the Unseen Force, a Primal Passion To Be, that has been igniting a Fire Within. We are prepared for Higher Things. The Guardian of the next Season is 13 Dog/OC, an Ascension of Unconditional Love.
To all my relations, may we be Grateful for the God in the Whole of Us. May we Feel the Truth. May we look across Time to see how much we’ve grown by the Wisdom of our own Experience. May we claim our power to shed our skin to strike out of our corners and leave our old ways behind.
May we know we don’t have to figure it out by human reason. Something Divine within will call us. Our Highest Dream will become something WE HAVE TO DO.
May we Celebrate the Common and Everyday way that Human is guided by Intentions of Love and Creation. May our Heart Feel a Dream in the Future. May we celebrate the new possibilities we see, knowing now, what we didn’t know before.
in lak’ech, i am another you

13 Serpent/Chicchan (Cherokee, Serpent/DO’TSI)
Galactic Tone 13: Ascension; Thirteen assists us to go to the next higher step, propels us to try something new or to try again. Thirteen energy takes us over the next mountain just to see what is there. Thirteen carries the last success to the newest effort. Thirteen is a number associated with the Ascended Masters, creation, expansion, and manifestation.
Serpent/CHICCHAN: Movement and the creation of time. Sensual and dramatic, this sun sign embodies intense instinctual wisdom and creates a connection from Earth bound, to Heavenly aspirations. By sincere service to others, Serpent opens and expands its heart. Serpent aligns authority and the truth to bring justice that is quick and sure. Serpents are very adaptable, even fluid until trapped in a corner, and then they explode. Serpents, venomous temper poisons itself as well as others by creating resentful, suppressive and even destructive attitudes.
Cherokee, Serpent/DO’TSI: Serpent’s symbol is Constellation Serpens. Serpent people are Sky people who come to earth periodically as Educators. As above-So below, on Earth the Serpent is the roots of the tree of knowledge. Serpent power is vital energy, the moving force, the instinct and desire for creativity, the trigger that sets off the action. It lights the fuse that magnifies and explodes the life force itself. Knowledge, combining science, technology and psychology, plus spirituality are seeded on the planet.
