THE TRECENA OF EARTH/CABAN: A MIGRATION OF SPIRIT
MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
Peak Tone 8 holds the Intention of Divine Justice. Number 8 is a symbol of Abundance to Infinity and Eternal Life. Waxajqib, the Q’uiche word for 8, means “pure spirit.” Tone 8 is the Holy Day of the trecena when the Maya carry out most of their festivals and sacred ceremonies.
The 8th hour of Light is the zenith of the Sun. Our Common thought at mid-day is to witness what we’ve accomplished, and imagine the Sum of the Whole at the End. We see the Truth of our capabilities from a beginning to an end.
Tones 8 through 13 are carried out by a Divine Agency. Our Divine Justice is a Leap beyond Human’s grasp when we are reaching for the Higher One.
The Seed is the cauldron for the Creation of Life and the Scion of the Creator. When we reach like children, to be carried by the Holy, Holy, Holy, we only have to raise our arms. In the reflection Above, a Divine set of parents dreamed that we’d want to be carried.
Seed/KAN represents the Spark of the Creator’s Love that was given as the Heart of the Seed. We were born with a Dream of Love that we could never forget. We can’t remember the end, because a Divine Creator allowed us to Choose the Way the Truth unfolds. Under the Divine Laws of the Universe the only limits placed on our Human Dreams, is that the Ending is Love that lasts forever.
“If you love something, let it go.”Seed/KAN resides in the South, the direction of our Relationships with one another and the Natural World. Seed/KAN shares a perspective for Right Relationship. Holding the Element of Earth, KAN shares a Tangible experience of the Truth. Human’s Divine Justice is to Know the Truth through ALL our senses. Our Divine Nature only needs to Feel it. Our Human Nature desires the Truth of physicality.
KAN represents the Dragon Energy of the Seed, a Potential for Life that lies within and Knows everything that it needs to be. Every Seed is a Miracle of Creation, marked by the Truth of its Divinely Intended identity. The Human Seed was designed as the Creator’s Highest Expression of itself, given the Sacred Right of Choice.
Our Highest Choice is to manifest Right Relationship with the Whole. It takes ALL our paths to figure out for our Self that our own Happiness depends on the Happiness of the Whole. It takes all our choices to know what our Heart REALLY Desires. It TAKES a Spark that holds a Power of the Creator to hold the WILL to Choose it. And, it takes the Discernment and Compassionate Love of a Mother to guide our Life to its Highest End.
Sooner or later, we are tired of being divided. When all hope is lost, a Spark always Remembers the Feeling of Love in Harmony as One.
Those born Seed/KAN are often found to be caretakers for the affirmed and elderly who are incapable of fending for themselves. The Seed intends the clearing of Karma and financial obligations. The Seed makes its way by putting down its roots in fertile soil. Under the Tone of Pure Spirit, a Supreme Creator tends our garden and planted us exactly where we could grow. It’s up to us to choose what we Love to create the story of our Life. In the end, all the details of the Creator’s Masterpiece will identify the Dreams that were born in the darkness of the Unknown.
Seed/KAN holds the “dragon power” to “see clearly.” The Dragon is a symbol of Illumination and Power Guided by Divine Wisdom. Like children, there are limits to the power we are capable to hold at different times of our life. On the Day of Divine Justice we are offered the Truth that our Heart’s Desire is ours to Choose, and a Supreme Creator will carry it to the end.
Every Seed is born free of karma. To express who WE are, we were given the freedom of unlimited choices. We have been raised by our Mother Earth/CABAN with the Wisdom of Love that’s OURS to Give, and the Faith to Believe in the Dreams we Love within. Seed holds the Power to say “No” without obligation, and to accept the same choice by someone else.
A Supreme Creator disseminated the Seed of Humanity for our Creation. A Divine One “loved us and let us go” for the purpose to witness our own creation of the Beauty of Love. We would Dream of it in the darkness, just as the Creator dreamed, and brought the Dream to Life.
Our Divine Life is Ours to Choose. That’s how we bring it to Life. The roots of the seed reach toward fertile soil as a matter of survival – without prejudice or opinion. The roots of every Seed grow their own way. Those that love the same conditions will grow together from the ties that bind.
In the South, we face the North. The answers to all our questions are always right in front of us. North is the Direction of Wisdom. Today, our Highest Truth holds the Wisdom to “get along.” We are different for a Divine Meaning and Purpose. We were Divinely Designed to be different, and then become exponentially different by the endless choices that become the Wisdom of our Experience and the Whole Body of our own Human Consciousness. We were designed by a Divine Genius to reflect Infinite Ways to reflect the Light of the Creator – LOVE. On Tone 8 we realize the “tangible Truth” of “Pure Spirit.”
Life in a living world is a dynamic illustration of Truth, an alagory from the micro to the macro. Humanity would establish an intimate relationship with the Seed, as the Empowerment of Self-directed survival. We were intended to know the Miracle of the Seed. A Seed KNOWS ITSELF. KAN guides a thorough investigation of our Self. To know the Whole Truth, it’s just as important to see What we are as Who we are. “What we are” will reveal all that we CAN be.
“If you love something, let it go.”
A Supreme Creator Loved us and let us go, as the means for us to Choose our own way. Loving and letting go is the way to grow the Seeds of our Dreams. Dream your dream and let it go to a Leap of Faith. The Dream is a Seed of our Self that will guide its own way.
We’ll never get everyone to understand why we need to make the choices we do. The Truth is, some won’t WANT to understand. We can let go when we don’t demand understanding. We can be a reflection of the Divine Light Above, when we pass on the Sacred Right of Choice. Then, in Harmony, we are free of any obligation to make our own choice.
To all my relations, may we offer our gratitude and appreciation for One that Loved all the ways we could be, enough to let us choose what we Love. May we give thanks for a Dream of Love that was eternally planted in our Heart, one that would always turn us back around when we reached human’s “end of the road.”
May we see the paradox of “pure spirit” like the strength of the roots that ground us on Mother Earth. They are fragile tendrils of Life, yet they hold an exponential force of an “Intention to Be” that can move the Life of a Seed beyond the “impossible.”
May we face the Truth of what we are and who we create through every choice we make. Happiness depends on the Choice to Love all around, the past, present, future, and a Place beyond Time as a Divine State of Being.
What’s your REAL heart’s desire? Ask for it, and let it go.
Close your eyes and count 3 Sacred Breaths through the nose. Reach from the darkness of a Universe within. Using the Jaguar’s “earth magic” of Gratitude, take a Leap to the Holy, Holy, Holy Sanctuary of a Dream that’s True.
From the Center, may we shine our Light to the Whole.
in lak’ech, i am another you

8 Seed/KAN (Cherokee, Dragon Ukte’na)
Galactic Tone 8: Harmony and balance; weighing evidence to reach a balance of justice. The power of organization demonstrated in the statement, “as above, so below”; from simplicity to infinity
Seed/KAN: Family, sexual activity and the magic of germination are the characteristics of this sun sign. Natural net workers, Seed people strive to free themselves and others from debt or oppressive patterns of the past. Abundance is gathered by Seeds as if with a cast net. Seed persons are public defenders who work toward uniting community by discovering hidden traps and secret influences of others. To generate true abundance, Seed must learn to appreciate all gifts and lessons received and conduct profound investigations into its self. In the absence of gratefulness and the courage to face oneself, Seed finds itself in less than less fertile environments.
Cherokee, Dragon Ukte’na: The Sky constellation Draco represents this sign. Dragon represents Matriarchy, the Great Mother Figure. Dragon is the Corn Spirit, the dual personality of both Corn Mother and Corn Maiden. This Sign is fertility and procreation, generation to generation.
