THE TRECENA OF DEER/MANIK: The Mission for OUR Life
Greetings Beloved Kin,
Tone 8 is the Holy Day of Transformation, carried out by Divine Agency. Jaguar/IX is the nahaul of Spirit. Following the footprints, our life was changed by the Guardian of Mother Earth, and Beauty that surrounds every Human experience. Today, the Unseen Realm of Spirit is the REAL world. And we see the Truth, the world is a creation of all our illusions of Times and Places we have never seen to know.
Spirit is the Truth that matters. Love was the Divine Justice we were offered from the Beginning. We can claim the Truth Here and Now for everything that follows.
The Truth of our Spirit guides us. If you don’t know what to do next, then wait until you do… giving thanks, for the path being opened and cleared by a Divine Agency.
love, in lak’ech, Debra

8 Jaguar / IX
Greetings Kin,
Peak Tone 8 raises the Intention of Divine Justice. We were changed in the Zenith Hour by seeing Truth from a Higher Perspective. On Tone 8 a Higher Truth is raised in Sacred Exchange for the Human offering. The Truth of Divine Justice is always the Answer to Human’s prayer.
We were designed to live in the Balance. Our Human Ego sees “what’s not fair.” Our Spirit knows that all things Balance with Time.
Tone 8 is the Holy Day of the trecena. The Maya’s definition of the Number 8 is “pure spirit.” The Transformation that begins on Tone 8 is guided by Divine Agency. For all the effort that was invested by Human Will, a Divine Agency will employ on our behalf. Only, a Divine Agency will employ an exponential and Unseen Power of Divinity. Divine Justice is higher than Human Justice. Human limitations are covered by the Divine Provision. The Love we held by Intention was Human’s Offering of “pure spirit.”
Jaguar/IX is the nahaul of Spirit. Residing in the North, IX holds Divine Wisdom. Through the Element of Air, that relates to our thoughts, and the inner workings of the Human mind, IX can change our mind through the Truth of Divine Justice.
The Jaguar always leads a journey toward the East, the Light of Divine Truth that marks a beginning. When we look down to see where we are, the Jaguar’s footprints are the Sign that we are exactly where we’re supposed to be. The place where we are is the place “we belong now” for the “place we will be in the future.” We were given Milestones of Truth that we would remember, so we could look back and see that it was the Truth before, in that Time of synchronicity, when we DID know we were exactly where we were supposed to be. A Divine Creator who knows our thoughts, knows the “sum of the whole Truth” we haven’t seen. What was True before, is still True again, and we can Believe it’s the way things will always be.
All the Divine Truths of Spirit are Universal Laws – Truth to Infinity. 8 is the Number of Abundance and Life to Infinity. We are the Seed, just breaking out of a shell. We may feel like we’ve been pushing forward through the darkness to our very limits. But we were reaching for the Light. The Jaguar led our last Human climb. The Intention was to walk the walk below, holding the Divine Truth Above to raise the Wisdom of Experience. On 8 Jaguar/IX, the Truth of the Experience is exalted in the Zenith Light.
IX is the symbol of the Divine Feminine, the Spirit of Compassion and Divine Discernment. The nahaul of the Mother is the Divine Power of Movement and Time that raises us up to our Highest Understanding. We comprehend the Truth through the Wisdom of Experience. IX marks a day of “darkness” (white/yellow day signs). A Hand Above will shine the Light of Wisdom.
IX is the nahaul that is said to hear the Heartbeat of Mother Earth. IX raises our Senses of Spirit. The Jaguar is hardly seen in the wild due to their sense of living things all around. We could imagine a little fear in following the footprints, though we could remember that the Jaguar is already long gone on its journey toward the Light. The Jaguar walks in stealth to guard the Temples and Sacred Sites. The Jaguar leads us to the threshold of Divine Spirit. We already chose to Leap through and in the Highest Light we see the Jaguar’s way.
The Popol Vuh tells the story of the 4 Balams, the Jaguars of the first creation. They fell in Love with Mother Earth, conscious of the consciousness of Living things all around. The Former and the Shaper were displeased. They only fulfilled half their purpose. They were torn apart and recreated to Live in the Balance, Loving the Above and the Below. The Meaning of the Living One was to be a Body of Consciousness – a Sanctuary for the Whole. Through a Circle of Belonging, Love could always Live through the links in the Circle. The Maya believe that to remember the words and traditions, raised the Life of the One that lived before as a living presence of Wisdom in our Consciousness.
All Human can see is the “Love we want now.” Through the eyes that can see the Unseen, we can see the REASON we want Love Today is for Tomorrow. Human wants to know that SOMEONE will Remember, that we don’t just come and go, never being seen or acknowledged. The Feeling is our Spirit’s Dream for Eternal Life. The Jaguar Senses the Divine Truth, there is no end in the Creator’s Design for Life. The Jaguar raises a Divine Discernment of the Truth.
There are 2 altars at the top of the pyramid guarding the entrance to the Holy of Holies. Chac Mool is the reclining one that holds an offering bowl above navel. Chac Mool guides us to take the Sacred Breath to raise our Senses to Vibration. The image directs us to draw a Breath of Light from the center to rise to the Crown. In the second inner room is the Jaguar altar for an Offering of Gratitude. Gratitude is the “earth magic” to cross the threshold to the Light. Conscious of the Blessings of Mother Earth all around, the Jaguar raises the Sense that we are One with the Whole.
On my pilgrimage to Ek’ Balam, I felt the Jaguar’s eyes on me and the connection to the Whole. The ruins at Ek’ Balam are said to offer the Illumination of Darkness. Ek’ Balam is the Black “Star” Jaguar. Sound echoed in the heat and humidity. You could Feel it through the bird’s call. I had come for a Holy Purpose to honor Ian Lungold’s Mayan birthday on Halloween, October 31, 2018. I flew home on 1 Wind/IK. Minisa was the 1 Wind/IK that gave breath to going for the Day of the Dead. Minisa was holding prayers on the Holy Ground in the Center, between the NW and the SE for the Sacred Ceremony. The day of my return marked 1,111 days of my Daily Journal from the 8 Monkey/CHUEN Initiation, and my dedication of Time to the Purpose. It was the FIRST Conscious manifestation of a Long Lost Dream. I wanted to carry it out in the most Divine Way. (Your story is marked all over by Time and Numbers like that. Numbers are a Universal Language, measuring a change from one state to another – like the climb of a musical scale. Just imagine how it feels to be with one person. Then imagine the change when there’s 3. Then imagine 2 again and compare 2 that are in sync to 2 that are opposing forces. 2 reminds us of “together.” “2 together as 1” is the Divine Consciousness of Trinity. We recognize 8 as the symbol of infinity, a circle folded into itself at the Center. Our eyes see what is lost to unconscious thoughts.)
Through Human eyes, I was only falling down, rolling off logs, just trying to keep my balance on solid ground. That IS the Human dance of Faith as it appears in the world below. From the outside it’s only “blood, sweat, and tears,” On the inside, we are pushing the boundaries to expand Faith and Believing. The Future is the only place we can ever see the Whole Truth of our Transformation, when Human has to Know the Truth of our own Experience.

The earliest known symbol of sanctuary.
The Place where our Spirit always Belongs is in the Sanctuary Within. We will know we are there with every Intention of Love and Compassion. Even with the Best Intentions we’ll have our Human limits. I was so excited to find a homeless person to help, and so overjoyed in the Moment of the Sacred Exchange, that only when I drove away did I realize HOW MUCH MORE I could have helped. I had a collection of donations right there in the car WITH ME, including baggies of protein bars and crackers. The day was 4 Dog/OC and I felt like a dog that jumped on another person for Love and lost all reason and common sense. I saw foolish human ways when we forget. I had to forgive myself and Remember that Love was the Offering. Today our Heart can know that the One Above will always carry out the ends for the Divine Justice of Love. Love is ALWAYS enough for the Most Important Truth that someone Sees us. We know they stepped into our shoes.
On the Global Burner Day, 4 Dog/OC my Divine Release was the Truth that for all the Ways that Human tries to figure out how to Love, ANY WAY is enough to lead to the Divine End. That’s Human’s Divine Justice.
I had the same experience in Ek’ Balam. I was taking pictures when we came across a BIG iguana holding perfectly still. As I tried to center the image in the frame I notice a large wound in its hind end. The ones with me mentioned that it looked like the iguana was in its final transition… while I’m adjusting the camera, so the wound won’t show in the photo. It struck me straight to the heart and I was One with the iguana, who in that moment turned it’s eyes straight on me. The connection was tangible. This was not Time for a photo, this was a most important Time for the iguana and in the eye to eye exchange, when I immediately brought the camera down, we were One, Seeing and Acknowledging the Consciousness of one another. I felt a Jaguar behind me, looking over my shoulder. I saw the darkness of myself, even in this Holy Place.
Today the Divine Wisdom shared by the Jaguar is that we Want to Love more, and we see the ways that we can when we learn the Wisdom of Patience, to take the Time to See what’s going on all around. Through the Vigilant Consciousness of the Deer, we’ll REMEMBER the Highest Way. We can turn back to the One Truth we Chose to Believe, a Divine Provision for Human limitations to believe in the One that makes the Intention to Love the most Beautiful Reason for Time.
To all my relations, may there be no shame in broken Human Love. We can think we’re loving, even while we’re forgetting. That’s a pretty sad limitation for a Human Being to carry. We are Enough for the Sacred Exchange. We’re MORE than enough, because we gave our Heart and it was broken by our own limitations to Love.
May we count the Blessing of our Life’s Salvation, the Truth of Unconditional Love that never sees a fault, only the reach to Love more. May we receive the Blessing kneeling in Humility, holding the One Truth that will carry us to the end of TIme. May we claim a Higher Reason to Love today for the Eternal Blessing of Tomorrow.
May we bring our Offering of Love to Mother Earth, seeing and acknowledging her beauty on every scale. A Heart of Compassion will know how we feel.
in lak’ech, i am another you

8 Jaguar/IX (Cherokee, Panther/SAHO’NI)
Galactic Tone 8: Justice. Harmony and balance are the intent of Eight. Eights carefully weigh all evidence to reach a balance of justice. Eight is the power of organization demonstrated in the statement, “As above, so below”. From simplicity to infinity, the energy of Eight organizes all levels of creation. Some Eights are “Neat Freaks”.
Jaguar/IX: Born with a deep love of the Mother Earth, Jaguar or shaman is directly tied to the source of all Earth magic. They possess great power of intellect and strength or character through integrity. Jaguar energy is feminine in nature and is the ruling spirit of jungles, plains, and mountains. The spirit of Jaguar inhabits the Mayan temples and is called on to assist in spiritual as well as in material ways. Jaguar is also the god/goddess of gratefulness. Patience born of strength and skill can turn to pounce of quick decision and action. Both bold and stealthful, Jaguars do not often attack directly and communications from them usually contain some mystery. In the absence of integrity, Jaguars power corrupts becoming a search for wealth and fame.
Cherokee, Panther/SAHO’NI: Panther is symbolized by comets, meteors, shooting stars, fireballs, and magicians. Meteors appearing around the middle of November are Heralds of the Coming of the Light, the Cherokee New Year. Panther is the Shadow of the Sphinx, Herald of the Dawn, guardian of the night when the sun is traveling through the underworld. Panthers have unlimited imaginations, visualizations, and are spellbinding speakers. The Cherokee Totem Jaguar is the guardian of the portals to other dimensions; shamanic abilities will open; multi-dimensional magic; healer, leader, way shower energy when used for spiritual growth. Abuse would be for using this power for control or negative purposes; must find a powerful balance. Ix: The Kab’awil represents the heart of the planet, the female reproductive tract, the face of a jaguar and points east on the world map. Ix: woman, tiger. Conducive to pray for grandmothers, mothers, daughters, sisters and wives day. For wisdom at 4 Balances, cunning and protection of Mother Nature. To thank the Earth for sustenance. Ix is the native cunning, enterprising, vigorous, bold and realistic.
