10 Deer / MANIK

Greetings Beloved Kin,

A body of knowledge doesn’t mean a thing. Wisdom is a matter of applying the Truth. Deer/MANIK symbolizes the Way to Remember. The glyph illustrates the Hand, another name for Deer. The forefinger and thumb grasp a thread of ether that completes a circuit of Power  Above. The circle symbolizes the Vigilant Eye of the Deer.

Deer/MANIK is the Day Sign of the Mayan priest, the one who counts the days and carries out the rituals and sacred ceremonies on behalf of the whole. The Mayan priest is not a preacher, but a demonstration of one who dedicates their life to the Mission for a Divine Meaning and Purpose. To carry out the way, they must walk in the highest integrity. The priest lives in the authenticity of who they are, another Human Being of limitations. They demonstrate that the Only Way to Remember is by dedicating a path to an altar, where they kneel in Humility like all the rest.

The Deer is a symbol of Stability, with one foot to plant in each of the 4 directions. A Deer doesn’t defend the Truth, but stands in silence, remembering the Truth will speak for itself. The Truth always makes Common Sense of everything we’ve seen. If someone hasn’t seen the Truth of Common Sense, they don’t choose to know. We only take away from the Power of Truth when we try to defend it. If we KNOW it’s Common Sense, we are wasting our breath.

The Deer claims its Holy Ground, holding the Peace of Knowing. MANIK holds the Gift of Harmonic Resonance. Others are drawn to follow when they witness the Light of the Way. When the smoke rises from the Sacred Fire Ceremony and the smell of Copal fills the Air, others Know someone is praying on their behalf. When someone prays for us, we are drawn to bow our head and stand in agreement. We know we are in the presence of a Divine Communion. If we don’t believe, we lean to the One who believes for us.

Within the Seed, by Debra Malmos

MANIK holds the Element of Water, the substance that holds the ether of Spirit. The priest uses Water for Blessings, Initiations, Purification, and the ritual of Baptism. Tone 10 raises the Intention of Manifestation. How to manifest our blessing is our Common Question, and our biggest challenge. We have to claim the Truth for our Self. Our Dreams lie in the Unknown future, where MANIK stands in the West. The Creator’s Power is a Truth unseen, until we’ve reached the end. It’s always a matter of Time. To manifest our Dreams we have to claim the Truth, Here and Now.

The Water of our Spirit is drawn by the tides. Seeds are planted by the cycles of the Moon, when the Water in the Earth is drawn closest to the surface. We can be up one day and down the next. The Feelings of Truth are influenced by the ebb and flow of our Spirit within. A Divine Creator promised an Atonement of our Heart and Mind with every Offering we bring. Kneeling to the One in the Truth of our own limitations, our Spirit is raised by the Consciousness/Light of the Divine Truth shared from Above.

To claim the Power and the Way it’s up to us to measure the Value of The Creator’s Truth in our Life. Holding position 7, MANIK reflects the 7th Tone that resides at the Top of the Pyramid, and the Holy of Holies is the place to go. We don’t have to be perfect, only a limited Human Being who dedicates our Life to the Choice. We have to ask our Self, “Who am I? What do I want?” The Creator will guide us there, if we admit to our self we need the Power of Divine Agency to carry it out. The flesh of our Ego is a Holy Sacrifice. Then, our failures become a blessing for an experience that can always teach us a lesson. That’s how we’re seen by the One Above, when we reach and fail, then fall on our knees to the Highest One Above.

Today our path is consecrated and blessed and we are offered a choice to Remember, by always being connected to the One. I remember days early on my path when I was overwhelmed by the challenges of the day. I didn’t think I had Time to stop to pray. Though, I was drawn there with an intention of offering 5 minutes. Invariably, 5 minutes turned into 15 or 20, and the time-out was a blessing for the rest of the day. We don’t have to be perfect. Even the smallest sacrifice is honored by the Highest One. All the Creator needs is the help of a Human hand that reaches to be grasped from Above.

Don’t let the ego stop you from asking if you can say a prayer for someone else. There are so few that are willing to offer a Hand of Divine Service. If you were broken and unable to see your way, would you be grateful for a Human Being who offered a prayer with you? We can FEEL the Truth when someone who reaches a Hand, believes in the Power Above.

It’s never our place to discern the limitations of someone else. Our Power lies in “being there”  when they reach out to us. When we follow a spiritual path, our peace and happiness will shine from within. The Truth will speak for itself that we’re someone they can turn to. You can’t help but be drawn to someone who’s shared the truth of their own mistakes. They know we’re someone who will understand. Among my greatest witnesses to the Power of the Creator is the Time I spent driving a car with 3 taped up windows. We carry a lot of shame for not measuring up to the ways of the world. Shame is only another lie of the Devil. A car, a debt, our station, our gender, or our race doesn’t reflect the Truth of who we are. We are all Creations of the Highest One. Every one deserves to be seen and acknowledged that way. That’s the Divine Mission of Human’s Hand in the world, to Love One Another and to stand by the Golden Rule.

Now is the most important Time to make the Choice, while we’re creating the New Seed of our Self. If we choose to claim the Truth of the Highest One, by Divine Agency, we’ll grow the legs to stand. We’ll see Miracles that the Creator can change in us. Prove it to yourself. Ask for help in changing something that looks too hard to do. Tomorrow, it can feel like it’s no big deal – just a matter of putting one foot in front of the other.

Tomorrow, a cycle of Light is coming to an end with a total eclipse of the moon. If you claim a new way now, you won’t have to wait for another round to create a new set of wings. Claim you’ve found your way to leave the “hard road” behind. Claim the Highest Truth of a Divine Intervention.

The Deer is the one who holds all the Spiritual Tools. The choice we make will be the staff of Truth to lean on. MANIK holds one Special Tool for everything, the Truth of a Divine Provision for every human limitation.

The Elders say that in these times many of us walk alone without someone else to carry out the sacred rituals on our behalf. It is good and worthy to initiate yourself and to consecrate your own path with the Blessing of Water. Let the water pour over you as you give thanks for a gift of Descending Light. Wash all your fears away. We are ALL enough from the beginning to the end.

We have two Deer leading us. The Year Bearer 11 Deer/MANIK is lending a Hand to see the Truth from the Highest Perspective. 11 tunes us in to the channel of the Creator’s Highest Truth. The Deer’s antlers serve as our Divine antennae.

in lak’ech, I am another you

PS – The eclipse falls in the sign of Taurus, that reflects the Cherokee description, which relates to the Constellation Galagina, the Stag, known as Taurus, the Bull.

THE JAGUAR’S MAGIC OF GRATITUDE:
I’m grateful there’s a way for everyone. Every ritual and sacred ceremony can be carried out in Spirit, As Above, So Below. We only need to dedicate the Time to see the Unseen in a Real Way that we’ll remember.

10 Deer/MANIK (Cherokee, Deer/Ahwu’sdi)

Galactic Tone 10: Manifestation. What were once intentions or ideas, hopes or fears become physically present with the energy of Ten. What is focused upon with attention and intention becomes real with Ten. Ten is a powerful energy that carries a great responsibility.

Deer/MANIK (Hand): Deer are spirit tools. Silence itself is a spiritual experience for Deer. For Deer life is a pilgrimage. Deer are dominant persons who defend the people and will make sacrifices for others. The spirit of Deer upholds the pillars of the four directions. With the power inherent in the number four, Deer pushes away bad influences or negative energies. Skill and quality of work are very important to Deer. They are presented with tools for every task in life and it is with these that they are able to rise above limitations. Deer has a habit of keeping every tool it has ever used. This leads to clutter and indecision, loss and procrastination. When confronted with promises not kept, Deer becomes stubborn, manipulative and evasive.

Cherokee, Deer/Ahwu’sdi: Symbolized by Constellation Galagina, the Stag, known as Taurus, the Bull. It does not include the Pleiades and Hyades clusters which in Cherokee are viewed as separate. To feed, gatherers of food and supplies, they enjoy rituals, ceremonials, feasts, the souls of hospitality, sociability. Freedom versus security issues often inspire leadership and unique solutions.  Combined with artistic and inspiring energies in harmony with lunar cycles, they nourish the clans. Totem-Deer:  A priest or shaman, a powerful person in general, to overwhelm an individual with one’s personal power, divination; inclined to become a teacher, healer, guru, civic leader, or politician.  Ability to create harmonic resonance.
