3 Deer / MANIK – A Baptism of Spirit: Day 3 of 13

MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

3 Deer / MANIK

Greetings Kin,

Tone 3 is the first day of movement in the Serpent/CHICCHAN trecena. We bring an Intention to Life through movement or communication. Intention takes on a life of its own when it is projected into the Universe.

This life the Intention holds is our Seed of Love inspired by the Creator. In communion with the Creator, we engaged the One Mind that already knows the beginning to the end. Our movement draws an Unlimited Possibility into the Seed. Everything that is Known about it is embedded in the design. Through movement, one step will inspire the next.

The CHICCHAN trecena is igniting our Spiritual Gifts of Knowing. This is an important time to ask questions. We can ask the Creator to Know the Wisdom within the Seed.

Deer/MANIK is the Day Sign of Spiritual Tools. The Vigilance to Stand in its own Truth is the most-used Spiritual Tool of MANIK. The Deer’s life is a pilgrimage, moving in the 4 directions. All of Deer’s movements are made by Intention. Deer stands silently in its Truth and waits to see the Sign before it springs into movement. This way, every movement is known to be directed from Above. Deer/MANIK is said to uphold the Pillars of the 4 Directions. Through intentional movement, we will uphold the pillars of a Dream that was created in Spirit. The Deer’s Senses are heightened by Vigilant Observation.

10-DAY PORTAL: ELEMENT OF ETHER (Day 2)
Portal days thin the veil to the dimension of Spirit. Portals magnify our Spiritual Gifts and offer mystical experiences. We’re able to see beyond the Known to Know the Unknown. Today, a Portal magnifies the Power of our Movement in Spirit. The Seed of our Intention is germinated, and begins to cast the net to draw abundance to everything it needs to grow. Deer/MANIK will draw the Power from Spirit. (The 13-Day Trecena Guide offers additional insight on Portal Days, and why I observe them.)

9 Deer / MANIK – Renewal of Spirit: Day 9 of 13

MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

9 Deer / MANIK

Greetings Kin,

Peak Tone 9 holds the Intention of Patience to see the bigger picture. Tone 9 warns there could be suffering if we fail to look deeper into the Truth of what we Know. Tone 9 is all about completion of a new perspective.

Tone 9 Offers a Spiritual Tool. Divine Inspiration is something we were meant to think about.  Our gift of Free Will, means we aren’t told what to do. We’re intended to make a Divine Choice. The Creator inspires Human to Create its own Experience.

Choice is our Gift of Divinity. By Choice we can create anything that is aligned with a purpose of the Harmony and Equity of the Whole. On Tone 9 our Faith will be Transformed to a Belief.

Deer/MANIK is the Day Sign of the Mayan priest and shaman. Human’s Divine Purpose is to Serve as the Hand of God. The glyph illustrates the Hand, another name for MANIK. The forefinger (direction) and thumb (will) are grasping a thread of Ether of Spirit. Hand completes a circuit to a Divine Source of Power.

Deer/MANIK is also the Year Bearer. The Storm/CAUAC trecena is a gift of lightning energy for Renewal and Regeneration. Today, the Tzolk’in reflects a Major Life Change of Universal Intention.

2 Deer / MANIK – The Birth of a Savior: Day 2 of 13

MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

2 Deer / MANIK

Greetings Kin,

Tone 2 of Duality presents us with choices for the consideration of a new Intention. On Tone 2 we see ourselves separate from the whole. We consider our own way of navigating CIMI’s trecena of change.

As a Sprout, we rooted our Faith in Spirit. Now, we’re rooting our Light in the world.

Deer/MANIK is a Day Sign of the West. We are entering the direction of an Unknown experience. Holding the Element of Water, MANIK can touch our emotions and our fears of the Dark.

MANIK is the giver of Spiritual Tools. As the priest and shaman, MANIK leads the people in the ways of Ritual and Sacred Ceremony. The Deer is a symbol of our Spiritual Authority. Taking on the role of the Deer requires an Intention of Integrity.

The Spirituality of the Maya was a self-directed path. The role of the priest was to observe the rituals and ceremonies for the people. They provided healing, and maintained peace and harmony by leading a shared experience. The priest sacrificed itself in service to the Whole.

8 Deer / MANIK – Vigil of Light: Day 8 of 13

MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

8 Deer / MANIK

Greetings Kin,

The Transformation phase of each trecena begins on the Peak Tone 8. A Divine Agency steps in with a Sacred Exchange for our investment in a Divine Intention. An Intention to grow in Consciousness of the Creator is our Highest Aspiration. The Creator intended for Human to Remember and Believe in our Connection. The Intervention by a Divine Agency is a Promise that is fulfilled through a Transformation of Higher Consciousness.

Tone 8 holds the Intention of Divine Justice. We will always receive more than we can give in a return. The exchange of Unconditional Love is multiplied to abundance so Human would experience the exchange as an act of Divinity, the Miracle of Knowing the Creator’s Love.

Deer/MANIK is the Day Sign of the Mayan priest and shaman. The Light we receive is given for us to share. This is the Choice the Creator dreamed we would make to fulfill our Divine Destiny. On Tone 8 our Justice is Faith transformed to Belief. In the comprehension of the Divinity of our Intention, by Human reason we would believe in the help that would be provided. Human could only accomplish such a High Intention with the help of Divine Intervention.

8 Deer/MANIK is observed by the K’iche Maya as a day of Initiation of the Mayan priest. Today we are given a gift of being Seen by the Creator. We are seen through the eyes of the Creator in a Holy Light. The Creator would share the Consciousness that we are worthy, even as Deer/MANIK reveals our Human limitations. Today we can experience the Gift of Grace.

1 Deer / MANIK – Miracles of Light: Day 1 of 13

MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

1 Deer / MANIK

Greetings Kin,

The Next 13-Days…

We begin a new trecena of “Light” that will Inspire a Dream to fulfill our Life’s Mission and Purpose. Deer/MANIK, also known as Hand, is a symbol of Human’s role as the Creator’s Divine Hand in the world.

The MANIK glyph illustrates the hand that grasps the Ether of Spirit between the forefinger and the thumb. The thumb reflects the strength of the Human Will, the digit of our Authority. The forefinger (the pointer) represents a discernment of Direction. The Circle is the “eye of the Deer” that Vigilantly Observes the 4 Directions.

By applying our Human Will and the Gift of Divine Discernment, we can be Connected to a Source of Divine Guidance. Our movement in the world can be directed by an Almighty Authority.

Deer/MANIK is the Day Sign that holds every Spiritual Tool. MANIK helps us to see our Human limitations so that a Spiritual Tool is created to meet every need. As a Day Sign of the West, MANIK will call our Consciousness to our Experience of the Unknown. The more we are willing to see our weakness, the more we will be blessed with Spiritual Tools.

Deer/MANIK’s most used tool is Vigilance. Deer stands silently in its own Truth, observing the landscape in all 4 directions. MANIK is said to uphold the Pillars of Consciousness in every direction of our life. Following the path of the Deer, we will learn many ways that we can Stand in our Own Truth, and uphold the Pillars of Divine Consciousness for the Whole.

GLOBAL BURNER DAY: 4 Dog/OC
There are 4 Global Burner Days in the 260-day round of the Tzolk’in, a burner for each of the Seasons. Burner Days represent a release of residual energies… a clearing and purification. The Mayan priest performed the Sacred Fires that would draw the community back together into Right Relationship. On the days leading up to a Burner Day, we can experience the stress of too much energy. 4 Dog/OC holds potential for a release on the Tone 4 of Stability. See the 13-day Trecena Guide for more information.

PORTAL DAYS: Element of Ether
Portal days thin the veil to Spiritual Dimensions and elevate our Awareness to our own Spiritual Gifts of Intuition and Knowing. 13 Storm/CAUAC is the one Portal Day in the Deer/MANIK trecena. The Lightning of CAUAC connects Heaven and Earth, Body and Soul. A Portal will magnify a connection to “Lightning Energy” at our Ascension to a Higher Purpose.

PEAK DAYS: Peak Experience, Peak Performance

  • 6 Road/EB – momentum for dynamic developments on the Road of our Destiny
  • 7 Reed/BEN – balancing the Light Above and the Light Below
  • 8 Jaguar/IX – a transformation through a new Awakening of our Spiritual Gifts
  • 9 Eagle/MEN – a transformation completed through a Spiritual Gift of Higher Vision

7 Deer / MANIK – A New Dawn: Day 7 of 13

MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

7 Deer / MANIK

Greetings Kin,

HAPPY EASTER!

Tone 7 is the place of Balance at the top of the pyramid. We’ve completed our first climb of new Spiritual Growth. The effort of our Intention will be balanced Above and Below. This is a place of personal accounting that holds an Intention of Reflection.

Tone 7 represents the Principle of Correspondence, “As Above, So Below.” An effort of Spirit will be balanced in our Hearts and Minds.

CIMI helped to release us from our past and go with the flow of change. We can change our mind. We found a new pattern of movement. New habits lead to new choices and the only thing that matters is who we are now.

Deer/MANIK holds the Meaning and Purpose of our Transformation. Deer is the Day sign of the Mayan priest or shaman, the one who serves the Community. The Mayan priest is not a “preacher,” but one who leads the Sacred Ceremonies.

The glyph illustrates the Hand, another name for MANIK. The forefinger and thumb are grasping a Spark that completes a circuit to Divine Consciousness. Sacred Ceremonies and Rituals connect us to the Divine. They mark the Time and Place of our Consciousness of the Creator. Through this connection we are able to Draw all the strength we need through Divine Intervention.

13 Deer / MANIK – Ascension: Day 13

MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

13 Deer / MANIK

Greetings Kin,

Tone 13 is the Day of Ascension from the Eagle/MEN trecena. From a Higher Perspective we could see our Human suffering as the result of our unconsciousness. Through Eagle’s eyes we could see small things from a great distance. Looking into the future, we saw small accomplishments in their right size. From the ground, we could only see their influence in the “now.”

We Ascend with a Higher Consciousness that each small step led by Spirit is a “Miracle.”

Deer/MANIK holds Power and Authority through a Divine Connection. The glyph illustrates the Hand (another name for MANIK) that grasps a thread of Ether between the forefinger and the thumb. The forefinger represents Human intention, and the thumb, our Human authority.

The Sacred Right of Choice was offered to Human as the authority of our own Free Will. In a Human Intention to sacrifice our Authority to Divine Will, we we make a way to Know the Meaning and Purpose the Creator Intends for us. Our Human sacrifice of authority gives our permission to Be Reborn as we were Intended to Be.

The Two Sides of our Self are reconciled through a Divine Relationship. We become Human operating under a Higher Authority, grasping the Power that transcends our Human Nature.
