The lineup of earth-facing sunspots
SPACEWEATHER.COM NEWS: Sept 7, 2023
THOSE SUNSPOTS ARE GETTING BIGGER: A line of sunspots is marching across the sun’s northern hemisphere, and some of them are growing rapidly: movie shown above. NOAA forecasters say there is a 25% chance of M-class solar flares and a 5% chance of X-flares on Sept. 7th.
THE STORM-BATTERED TAIL OF COMET NISHIMURA: At least two CMEs have hit Comet Nishimura (C/2023 P1) in the past few days. The solar storms are having a destructive effect on the comet’s tail. Eliot Herman photographed the damage from Tucson, Arizona:
“This image is a highly stretched gray and inverted version of a photo I captured on Sept. 6th,” says Herman. “It shows the impact of solar activity on the tail of the comet.”
The breaks Herman observed are the result of multiple CME impacts. Each one causes magnetic reconnection inside the comet’s tail–a phenomenon researchers call a “disconnection event.” They are literally ripping the comet’s tail apart.
Comet Nishimura is plunging toward the sun for a close encounter inside the orbit of Mercury on Sept. 17th. At such close range it cannot avoid solar storms. Amateur astronomers who photograph Comet Nishimura in the days ahead are likely to capture more of these events. The comet is currently shining like a 5th magnitude star, which makes it an easy target for mid-sized backyard telescopes.
NOTE: Comet Nishimura is a “hyperbolic comet,” meaning that it’s never been seen before and comes from a far distance. It’s of special interest to astronomers since we have no history to predict what it may do. Previous reports have said it could produce a major event when it sling shots around the Sun, or, it could end in a fizzle.
Reed/I’hya by Cherokee tradition is a symbol of the Star Twin Pollux. Comet Nishimura is positioned near the Twins, Castor and Pollux, growing brighter with each passing day toward its unknown future.
Cherokee Cherokee, Reed I’hya: Symbol-Reed is the Earth, reflection of the Star Chaga of Pollux. Reed made up the Magician Twins who led the journey to bring back to life the daughter of the Sun. The Casket is Gemini. Energy for Intellectual minds, creation, re-creation, new directions, breaking the ties that bind. A trailblazer and leader. From the East, direction of success and happiness, no matter what route is taken, always ending up in the Light.
The myth of the twins is that Pollux was born of Light (Zeus) and Castor was conceived of Human flesh. Pollux mourned the death of his twin, as he had eternal life. So, he was allowed to descend to be near him again during the night. (That’s the very abreviated story I remember.) The myth of Gemini is a story of brotherly love between a Divine Twin and a Human one.

STARWALK: How to find the Twins
The easiest way to spot Gemini is to locate Orion’s Belt, then follow the line from Rigel (Orion’s right foot and brightest star), through the belt, and up towards Betelgeuse (Orion’s left shoulder). Continue that line, and you’ll eventually spot Castor and Pollux.

What’s a Solar Prominence?
Solar Prominences Come From Cooler Areas of the Sun
Prominences are enormous, extending out for many thousands of kilometers. Prominences can last for several days or up to several months. Some prominences erupt and break apart, giving rise to coronal mass ejections (CMEs). Source: Solar Prominences – UCAR Center for Science Education

Descriptions by Ian Xel Lungold (12 Sun/AHAU), wisdom preserved on MayanMajix.com
Galactic Tone 4: Stability; the cube is most stable of all forms and establishes volume by definition of height, length, depth and breadth; 4 directions establish orientation. The energy of 4 sets the parameters, which establish the freedoms and barriers needed to create a game, work, or relationship.
Reed/BEN: Reed persons are the spiritual essence, protectors and guiding light for family and home. They are competent speakers who will take up a cause. Very tough and analytical, Reeds endeavor to bring peace, harmony, and order to all of their relations. Reeds are blessed with great skill at negotiations and consoling which are very often put to the test. Although Reeds need a log of appreciation, many have a marriage or business problems because of inflexible views and high expectations, which erode affinity. The lesson of Reed is to be like a garden hose, not a steel pipe.
A GOOD DAY TO: Bless and repair the home.
