The Light that Overcomes the Darkness
SPACEWEATHER.COM NEWS: December 27, 2023
THE COLD MOON SETS: Last night’s Full Moon was the final Full Moon of 2023. Astrophotographer Jordi Coy spent months planning this farwell shot.
“I photographed the Moon setting behind the mystical village of Olvera in Cádiz, Spain,” says Coy. “To get this photograph I had to move 5.7 kilometers away from the village. It was a difficult job to find the exact place to align the Moon with the village, the terrain is very hilly and getting a clean place took me months of searching, but I finally found it.”
“Olvera is one of the most beautiful villages in Spain,” adds Coy. “It belongs to the World Heritage Site and the so-called white villages of Andalusia, for having all its houses painted in lime. The reason for whitewashing their houses dates back to the time of the Roman Empire to protect them from epidemics.”
GEOMAGNETIC STORM WATCH–CANCELED: A CME expected to graze Earth on Dec. 27th has not arrived. Either it missed or it is moving more slowly than expected. Either way, the chances of a geomagnetic storm today have subsided. Maybe next time!

Galactic Tone 10: Manifestation. What were once intentions or ideas, hopes or fears become physically present with the energy of Ten. What is focused upon with attention and intention becomes real with Ten. Ten is a powerful energy that carries a great responsibility.
Night/Akbal: Bringers of the Dawn. Dreamers who bring the new sun to clarify and illuminate the road of life. Thus the insecurities and doubts born of darkness of the sub-conscious mind are dispelled. These persons travel the Void. a place where nothing yet exists but all potential dwells, the womb of creation. From this void, Night persons bring forth new solutions and artistic inspiration. Night’s voyages of dreams build confidence and happiness with a sense of well being. If night does not bravely journey into the void they may find themselves wandering the darkness of self doubt and insecurity.
A GOOD DAY TO: Spend some Time contemplating the stars. (And the Moon in it’s Highest Position on the Darkest Night)
Cherokee, Hearth/O’YA: Hearth’s symbol is the fire pit in the Center, velvet black as the night. The triangle in Orion. The M42 nebula (home of the Central race from the WingMakers) in the center of the triangle of Orion is the fire in the Hearth, also matching the Mayan. The Hearth is the Torchbearer who holds the light and warmth throughout the night.
