Bringers of the Dawn. Dreamers who bring the new sun to clarify and illuminate the road of life. ~ Ian Xel Lungold
Greetings Beloved Kin:
I was moved by Cheryl Anne Ruebner’s choice of words, “electional astrology.” The right use of every calendar system is an application of Time created for a specific meaning and purpose. The Future depends on the Intentions of our Sacred Right of Choice. A clock tells Time to remind us where we Intend to be. It can’t predict where we will be.
Only the Farmer can come close to predicting the future by planting the Seed in Spring and tending the crop through the Summer. There’s a right use for every Sign of Time. The Mayan calendars, like astrology calendars, offer a right use of Time for Today. The Harvest of Spirit depends on applying the Truth of yesterday, today, to manifest the blessings for tomorrow. In the Water Blessing, Minisa called us the ‘vision quest farmers’ of our lives.
Genesis 1:14-15
14 And God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night. And let them be for signs and for seasons, and for days and years, 15 and let them be lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light upon the earth.” And it was so.
Human survival depended on knowing the meaning and purpose of Spring, and the Time when the Season for Growing reached its end. The Autumn Equinox marks the end of what the Creator determines our Harvest to be, measured by our Faith in the Author of everything Good in our life. When we hold Faith in a Divine Provision, God will make a way.
Tone 10, the Creator’s number, is the Day of Manifestation. To manifest our Dream we have to claim a Truth that’s here and now, or our Dream will always lie somewhere in the unknown future. When we planted a Seed of Faith for a Divine Cause, we CAN claim the Truth of the Effect that, by the Laws of the Universe, is the Truth of the end, here and now.
Today, the future is ours to claim by the Seed of our Intentions through the Vision Quest. At the beginning of a new round, the Time ordered for the beginning of a New Life, we can claim the Seed of a Divine Cause of Spirit has already been manifested as the Truth in the realm of Spirit.
Night/AKBAL represents the Dreamer that believes in the Dream. Our Dreams are the Creator’s realm where we ascend at the end of the Day. The Creator’s Voice speaks to us in our Dreams, sharing the Light for Sunrise. It’s not a coincidence that we all wake up with one first thought that the Day can be the beginning of a New Life.
The Mayan symbol for 10 is 2 lines, each with the value of 5. 5 is the symbol of Empowerment as the value of a Hand. Tone 10 reflects the Divine Power of a Hand Above and a Hand Below, united as One, as the Power to manifest creation that is Inspired by the Dream of the Author of Creation. The glyph illustrates the veil drawn back to see the Eternal Light that shines from our Highest Intentions of Love on behalf of the whole. All our treasures stored in heaven were manifested by “the work” of our Hand, every Time we obeyed the Creator’s Highest Order to Love. A Divine Creator recorded every good deed. If we forgave as we wanted to be forgiven, all our “bad deeds” will be redeemed by the Grace of God.
“I’m sorry” isn’t enough unless we hold the Intention to “make it right.” Only then will we Know without a doubt that we carried out the Sacred Exchange. When we have humbled our self to the Truth, that’s what we will naturally be inclined to do.
The “King in the Field” is the Spirit of Christ that will run to us with every higher offering of Faith. We may think we’ve been calling for the Savior’s return. But, were we calling from the Heart? If we know we haven’t obeyed God’s rules, it’s unlikely that we will be calling for “judgement day” with all our heart. I thought I was praying for the Highest end in my Intention to create an inheritance for my children. Money was the offering I most wanted to leave behind. If Money is all we’ve created, before our Time is through, we may realize we’re worth more Dead, than Alive.
I’ve thought about the Miracle of the Fishes at Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount. He called forth the Intention of a Miracle to feed the masses. If I were planning an afternoon away from home, I would have taken something to eat hidden up my sleeve… like the movies. Those who obeyed the Savior’s Divine Call may have been the Human Hands that carried out the Miracle. When we are surrendered to the Highest One, the Creator can use our Hand and our Blessings for a Divine Purpose. It’s no less a Miracle when we obey a Voice that calls us to Give Back and Pay Forward our blessings, and give God the credit for a sacrifice from the heart.
One of the traditions for the Hebrew month of Elul is to make an anonymous donation to someone in need. It’s also the month to “clear the field” and turn the soil. The shirt we take to “Goodwill” could be a miracle. If we left something extra in the pocket, God would get credit for the Miracle, and we would both remember.
Night/AKBAL pulls back the veil for us to see the inner workings of our mind. AKBAL days can feel like we never woke up. There may be a Dream left on our pillow that came to its perfect end, if only we could remember. We can be preoccupied by a dream we chose to forget. AKBAL can be a Dark Night of the Soul, when we remember dreams that slipped through our fingers.
Our greatest Loss is Faith in the Answer to our Prayers for Love. The most valuable treasures were ours to hold from the beginning. The work of blood, sweat, and tears doesn’t look so pretty. Nor does the suffering that brings us to our knees. Yet, that’s when we finally reach with all our Heart to the Only One Who Knows every way to reach the end, and promised to Answer the Prayers of our Heart’s Desire.
A Vision Quest is a call from the Heart to know the Highest Truth of Spirit. If your quest was anything like mine, it wasn’t perfect. The Only thing that was near perfect was beginning every Day by calling on my Soul and reading Psalm 27 as ordered by the Hebrew tradition for the Month of Elul.
Elul is the month set apart for repentance, or teshuvah, in spiritual preparation for the High Holidays (Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur). By Hebrew tradition, Rosh Hashanah is the Day of the Savior’s return. Rosh Hashanah (October 2, 2024 this year) marks the beginning of the Days of Awe, a 10-day period of repentance and introspection that ends with Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement. Redemption is a choice to give back something we’ve taken that was intended for another.
We create a habit in 21 Days. In the first 2 trecenas of the Tzolk’in round we create the Unseen Force of Momentum that sustains our Faith to the end. This is a Day to claim the Power of our Choice. The King came running with the Answer. What was begun by a Divine call to our Spirit will be the Harvest completed by the Lord of all Creation.
AKBAL is the Voice that speaks in our Dreams. Through all our faculties of reason, we can see a Divine use for our Imagination.
This is Time Ordered to remember a Dream for Love we held from the beginning. We may be drawn to tears by old failures to Wait for the Lord. The Time it takes to reach the end doesn’t matter when we know the Dream is destined to come true. A Divine Creator will redeem the Time.
Psalm 27:13
I remain confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living.
If we know we reached from the Heart, the King in the Field is already on the way. AKBAL offers the blessing of Living Water.
love, in lak’ech, i am another you

THE JAGUAR’S EARTH MAGIC OF GRATITUDE – A FORCE UNSEEN, BUT FELT BY THE HEART
I’m grateful for the questions of Love we can’t forget until a Power Greater than our Self reveals the Mystery of God’s Sacred Exchange.
BLESS THE LORD, OH MY SOUL FOR THE WORD YOU WILL MANIFEST AS THE TRUTH.
May everything within me praise the Name who keeps every promise so the Word will always remain the “gospel Truth.”
May we give thanks for the Hand above that taught us to Wait on the Lord, and Wait for the end that Shall Be.
Luke 1:37 – Elijah and Fire From Heaven.
The Voice in Elijah’s dream said:
37 For nothing will be impossible with God.” “For the word of God will never fail. ” “Nothing, you see, is impossible with God.”

10 Night/AKBAL, Cherokee, The Hearth – Day 10 of 13 of the 1 Jaguar/IX trecena
Descriptions by Ian Xel Lungold (12 Sun/AHAU), wisdom and Tzolk’in calculator preserved on MayanMajix.com
Galactic Tone 10: Manifestation. What were once intentions or ideas, hopes or fears become physically present with the energy of Ten. What is focused upon with attention and intention becomes real with Ten. Ten is a powerful energy that carries a great responsibility.
Night/Akbal: Bringers of the Dawn. Dreamers who bring the new sun to clarify and illuminate the road of life. Thus the insecurities and doubts born of darkness of the sub-conscious mind are dispelled. These persons travel the Void. a place where nothing yet exists but all potential dwells, the womb of creation. From this void, Night persons bring forth new solutions and artistic inspiration. Night’s voyages of dreams build confidence and happiness with a sense of well being. If night does not bravely journey into the void they may find themselves wandering the darkness of self doubt and insecurity.
A GOOD DAY TO: Spend some Time contemplating the stars. (And the Moon in it’s Highest Position on the Darkest Night)
Cherokee, Hearth/O’YA: Hearth’s symbol is the fire pit in the Center, velvet black as the night. The triangle in Orion. The M42 nebula (home of the Central race from the WingMakers) in the center of the triangle of Orion is the fire in the Hearth, also matching the Mayan. The Hearth is the Torchbearer who holds the light and warmth throughout the night.

The Winter Triangle points to Sirius, the Heart of the Dog, the symbol of the Creator’s Unconditional Love. The Truth of our Harvest is an offering for the Life born in the Season of Light. A Higher One than we were before can plant the Seed right on Time for the next Season of Harvest. God’s promise to redeem the Time lasts forever.
The “triangle of Orion” refers to the three stars that make up Orion’s belt, a prominent asterism within the Orion constellation, appearing as a relatively straight line of three bright stars, making a recognizable triangle shape in the night sky; these stars are often used to easily locate the Orion constellation itself.
Key points about the Orion triangle:
- Stars in the triangle: These three stars are usually called “Alnilam”, “Alnitak”, and “Mintaka”.
- Significance: The Orion belt is considered one of the most easily identifiable patterns in the night sky, making it a great starting point for finding other stars in the Orion constellation.
- Mythological connection: In Greek mythology, Orion is depicted as a hunter, and these three stars represent his belt.
