The Full Spectrum of Light
SPACEWEATHER.COM NEWS: 12/11/2024
POLAR STRATOSPHERIC CLOUDS: Arctic skies are filling with color–but it’s not the aurora borealis. A rare outbreak of polar stratospheric clouds (PSCs) is underway. Even Nilsen photographed the display from Troms, Norway:
“My favorite clouds appeared this morning,” says Nilsen. “It’s the earliest in December I have seen them here in Northern Norway. Fantastic sight!”
Polar stratospheric clouds are a sign of extreme cold. Normally, the stratosphere has no clouds at all. PSCs form when the temperature drops to a staggeringly-low -85 C. Then, and only then, can widely-spaced water molecules in the stratosphere coalesce into tiny ice crystals. When sunlight hits these crystals, they blossom with intense iridescent color.
Sky watchers in Sweden are seeing them, too. Aurora tour guide Oliver Wright was leading a group for Lights over Lapland when the clouds appeared over Abisko:
Reindeer are always a good Sign.
THE GEMINID METEOR SHOWER HAS BEGUN: Earth is entering a stream of debris from rock comet 3200 Phaethon, source of the annual Geminids meteor shower. Forecasters expect the shower to peak on Friday night, Dec. 13th, with a dozen or so meteors per hour visible in bright moonlight. The best time to look is 2 a.m. local time (Saturday morning) when the constellation Gemini is high in the sky. [more]

Geminids 2024: How to See December’s Best Meteor Shower
In 2024, the Geminids’ peak will occur on the night of December 13-14. Under ideal conditions, you could see up to 150 meteors per hour. Unfortunately, during the peak night, the Moon will be 97%-illuminated, so its light will definitely interfere with observations. Luckily, a lot of the Geminid meteors are bright, so you might still be able to catch some “shooting stars”.
Start watching after midnight, no matter where you are on the Earth. The Geminids appear to radiate from the constellation Gemini, near the bright star Castor. But you don’t have to look straight at the constellation Gemini – in fact, it’s better to look a little to the side to see the meteors with longer tails.
Geminids’ radiant
The Geminids’ radiant (the point in the sky from which the Geminid meteors appear to fly out) is located in the constellation Gemini. The Geminids activity will increase until 2 a.m. local time. Around this time, the radiant lies highest in the sky, and the Geminids’ activity will be at their strongest. As the radiant begins to set, rates will decrease until the bright sky at dawn obscures all the activity.
Mayan Time
9 Reed/BEN guides us to see the Big Picture. Gemini, the Twins, is a symbol of brotherly love – Pollux implored Zeus to give his immortality to his mortal Brother Castor, who died by his side in battle. Zeus permitted Pollux to give half of his immortality, so the 2 could be together until death. 9 is the Sign of a Creation that is finished, and the Intention to stand back to see what we’ve done. BEN is a Day to look beyond our Self for the sake of the Children in the future. Time is drawing our attention to the Intention of Right Relationship and a “home” where we belong.

THE TRECENA OF SERPENT/CHICCHAN: AWAKENING THE GIFTS OF SPIRIT
My gift for the Tzolk’in round is the “Tzolk’in Field Guide: A Daily Practice for Personal Discernment.” Volume 1 covers the first two seasons of the Tzolk’in round. The “Field Guide” is available to download from a link on the 13-day Trecena Guide Page.
Tracking your thoughts during one 13-day trecena, you will see the synchronicity of Time, and an ascension as the answer to a prayer you hold as an Intention of thought from the beginning.
The Serpent/CHICCHAN trecena is part of Season 2, found in Volume 1.
NOTE: If you see repeating numbers, SacredScribes is a resource to check the meaning of Angel Numbers.

Descriptions by Ian Xel Lungold (12 Sun/AHAU), wisdom preserved on MayanMajix.com
Galactic Tone 9: Patience. The energy of Nine is one of the getting a better perspective of the bigger picture. With the energy of Nine plans or patterns begin to come to completion. Nine requires patience and perseverance that is found in the bigger picture, otherwise there is great suffering from the lack of insight. The completion of cycles of action is all-important to Nine.
Reed/BEN: Reed persons are the spiritual essence, protectors and guiding light for family and home. They are competent speakers who will take up a cause. Very tough and analytical, Reeds endeavor to bring peace, harmony and order to all o their relations. Reeds are blessed with great skill at negotiations and consoling which are very often put to the test. Although Reeds need a lot of appreciation, may have marriage or business problems because of inflexible vies and high expectations, which erode affinity. The lesson for Reed is to be like a garden hose, not a steel pipe. Bless or repair your house.
A GOOD DAY TO: Bless or repair the home.
Cherokee, Reed/I’HYA: Symbol-Reed is the Earth, reflection of the Star Chaga of Pollux. Reed made up the Magician Twins who led the journey to bring back to life the daughter of the Sun. The Casket is Gemini. Energy for Intellectual minds, creation, re-creation, new directions, breaking the ties that bind. A trailblazer and leader. From the East, direction of success and happiness, no matter what route is taken, always ending up in the Light.
