Initial Signs that Comet Atlas Will Survive

COMET ATLAS IS BUZZING THE SUN: Sungrazing Comet ATLAS (C/2024 G3) is making its closest approach to the sun today. Coronagraphs onboard the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO) are recording the encounter. So far, the comet looks big, healthy and intact:
Right now the comet is only 0.09 AU from the sun. If it survives the heat, Comet ATLAS will emerge from the glare later this week as a potentially naked-eye object in the evening sky. Southern hemisphere observers are favored, but many northerners will be able to see it, too. Read “Prospects for C/2024 G3 (ATLAS)” by Nick James for observing tips.
NOTE: There appears to be solar flare eruptions happening on the far side of the Sun.
LUNAR OCCULTATION OF MARS–TONIGHT:
It’s the must-see backyard astronomy event of 2025 (so far). On Monday night, Jan. 13th, the full Moon will pass directly in front of Mars for a lunar occultation visible across North America. Check this infographic from the Astronomical League for observing times and tips.
Astrology:
The full moon on Monday, January 13, 2025, is at 23°59′ Cancer. Moon conjunct Mars could make for an emotional time, that relates to domestic issues of home and family.

3 CIMI is the Sign of a Transition to a New Life and a Memorial to the Life before… a Sign of Major Life Change. The Jaguar/Panther is the symbol of Spirit, associated with comets, fireballs, and shooting stars. Signs are good so far that Spirit shall prevail.

Galactic Tone 3: Action. Three is basic movement and communication, which begins as a vibration. Three energy is very eloquent in all types of self-expression. Communication is how Three establishes a point of agreement between any point “A” and any point “B”. Three persons are rhythmic to the core and are often restless, as motion is their nature. By working closely with the energy of Three, any person becomes more able to predict motions of all kinds.
Transformer/CIMI: Cycle of life, death, and rebirth. Transformer persons achieve goals and emotional wealth. Transformer people can become highly respected business persons. They have the ability to help others through any and all transitions with tranquility due to their spiritual strength and guidance. Communities often benefit from Transformers discipline and organization skills. They strengthen the life of pregnant women and guide them through the transitions of maternity. Establishing contact with the ancestors activates innate psychic abilities, gifts to be used as tools to assist others. Transformers can have the ability to send evil intentions telepathically, this is their undoing. From these acts they lose power, easily fall into a victim role and begin to manipulate with a vengeance.

Cherokee, Twins/ TAKATO’KA: Twins symbolize the Female Sun and Male Moon, whose union keeps the world going round. Cherokee myth has the Morning Star heralding the Sun, Venus, also being the Evening Star as representing the TWINS. The energy brings major changes all throughout life, riding the tsunamis of earthquake and upheaval, making their own waves wherever they go. They undergo powerful transformations, alternating like a flashing neon sign. The challenge is to master Balance while experiencing Chaos leading to re-birth and abundance through infinity.
