A Day of Wind
SPACEWEATHER.COM NEWS: 05/30/2025
A 24-HOUR GEOMAGNETIC STORM: A co-rotating interaction region (CIR) hit Earth on May 29th, sparking 24 hours of non-stop geomagnetic storming. The day started off strong (G3) before settling into a sustained stretch of minor to moderate disturbances:
CIRs are transition zones between fast- and slow-moving streams of solar wind. They’re like mini-CMEs. They contain shock waves and enhanced magnetic fields that do a good job sparking geomagnetic storms and auroras.
Astronomer Ian Griffin was at home in Portobello, New Zealand, when an aurora alert flashed across his phone. “I went out into my garden to see what was going on, and I was rewarded by some amazing auroral beams!” says Griffin.
SUPER FAST SOLAR WIND: Solar wind is blowing around Earth faster than 700 km/s (1.6 million mph). This is putting pressure on our planet’s magnetic field and causing G1/G2-class geomagnetic storms–extending yesterday’s long-lasting storm into May 30th. High-latitude sky watchers should remain alert for auroras.
Mayan Time
May 29, 2025 was 9 Wind/IK, the “Whirlwind” by Cherokee tradition. IK represents the Power of God’s Word and the Breath of Life and Spirit. The Word is the Truth that holds the power of a Hurricane to change the landscape of our life. Tone 9 is a symbol of an investment to the nth degree.
The Author of the universe offered a Divine Breath for 24 hours that changed the geomagnetic landscape of Earth. We can’t see the Wind, but we can feel the effects. And a Power greater than the world decides when, how long, how fast, and which way it blows. Co-rotating solar winds create a whirlwind.
May 30, 2025 is 10 Night/AKBAL is the Wind of God’s Voice that speaks in our Dreams. The forecast suggests that solar winds will be blowing throughout another day and overnight.

10 Night/AKBAL, Cherokee, The Hearth – Day 10 of 13 of the 1 Jaguar/IX trecena
Descriptions by Ian Xel Lungold (12 Sun/AHAU), wisdom and Tzolk’in calculator preserved on MayanMajix.com
Galactic Tone 10: Manifestation. What were once intentions or ideas, hopes or fears become physically present with the energy of Ten. What is focused upon with attention and intention becomes real with Ten. Ten is a powerful energy that carries a great responsibility.
Night/Akbal: Bringers of the Dawn. Dreamers who bring the new sun to clarify and illuminate the road of life. Thus the insecurities and doubts born of darkness of the sub-conscious mind are dispelled. These persons travel the Void. a place where nothing yet exists but all potential dwells, the womb of creation. From this void, Night persons bring forth new solutions and artistic inspiration. Night’s voyages of dreams build confidence and happiness with a sense of well being. If night does not bravely journey into the void they may find themselves wandering the darkness of self doubt and insecurity.
A GOOD DAY TO: Spend some Time contemplating the stars.
Cherokee, Hearth/O’YA: Hearth’s symbol is the fire pit in the Center, velvet black as the night. The triangle in Orion. The M42 nebula (home of the Central race from the WingMakers) in the center of the triangle of Orion is the fire in the Hearth, also matching the Mayan. The Hearth is the Torchbearer who holds the light and warmth throughout the night.
