SPACEWEATHER: Hours-long X-Class Solar Flare

X1.9-Class Flare Magnified by Duration

SPACEWEATHER.COM NEWS: 01/19/2026

SIGNIFICANT X-CLASS SOLAR FLARE: Sunspot 4341 erupted today (Jan. 18 @ 1809 UTC), producing an X1.9-class solar flare. The explosion lasted for hours, which makes this flare even more powerful than than its “X1.9” rating would suggest. This video from NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory says it all:

Radiation from the flare ionized Earth’s atmosphere over the Americas, especially South America. This caused a shortwave radio blackout that may have lasted more than an hour at frequencies below 10 MHz.

Of greater interest is the CME. The explosion launched a full halo CME with a significant Earth-directed component. NASA models predict that it will reach Earth during the early hours of Jan. 20th. The impact could cause a strong G3-class geomagnetic storm with mid-latitude auroras. Stay tuned for updated forecast models.

UPDATED:
SOLAR PROTON STORM IN PROGRESS: Energetic protons from the sun are raining down on Earth. They were accelerated in our direction by yesterday’s powerful X-class solar flare (described above). This is called a “solar proton storm,” and currently it is category S2. Shortwave radios inside the Arctic Circle aren’t working right now due to this storm, which is causing a polar cap absorption event.

MAYAN CALENDAR TIME AND SYNCHRONICITY

9 Wisdom/CIB defines the Father as the One Divine Source of Wisdom for Life. Tone 9 calls us to look at the big picture to see the Truth. Life depends on the Light of the Sun. The Offering is directed at the children of God, those that Fear, Love, and Respect the first and last Word of all creation.

Life on Earth depends on the Light of our Brightest Star, the Sun. Life eternal depends on the Truth and Light of the Son. The Star/LAMAT trecena represents the Ascension of the Scion. Venus, the symbol of the. Scion, is transiting behind the Sun.

The New Moon, 01/18/2026 marks a new lunar cycle of the Full Snow Moon. The coldest moon was Time for gathering shoulder to shoulder around the Fire where stories were shared about the Wisdom of those who came before.  By the Christian calendar, Time is ordered for a gathering to remember the Apostles and their mission to share the Gospel Truth and the offering for the Salvation of the Whole.

Today’s Solar Flare is the First Sign of Greater Light on the way from the Heart of Sky.  The DURATION reminds us that Wisdom requires the Time to consider what it means.  Ask and Seek to know for the Highest Purpose, and the Truth shall be revealed.

Galactic Tone 9: Patience. The energy of Nine is one of the getting a better perspective of the bigger picture. With the energy of Nine, plans or patterns begin to come to completion. Nine requires patience and perseverance that is found in the bigger picture, otherwise there is great suffering from the lack of insight. The completion of cycles of action is all-important to Nine.

Wisdom/CIB: The old ones. Wisdom of the ancients. Wisdom persons are aligned with the ancient memories that wait in the stone of temples and sacred sites all over the world. Wisdom people grow luck like a crop using a balance of prudence and tenacity. The tremendous inner strength of this sign enables silent introspection to discover areas of oneself that contain wisdom more valuable than any trove of archaeological treasure. Wisdom persons are valiant defenders of family and community. They may become hardened to life and sentiment turned cold. In these cases, they need much forgiveness for their uncaring errors. Periodically connecting with nature and or visiting sacred sites will bring great stability to wisdom persons.

A GOOD DAY TO: Sit on a rock.

Cherokee, Owl U’GUKU’ : Symbol is the Owl is Arcturus, the brightest Star in the Constellation Bootes. The Cherokee Bear constellation (Ursa Major) includes the Big Dipper plus four stars in Bootes.  Owl is a hunter, who stands for the wisdom and ability of all great hunters, the cunning of a fox, the tenacity of a bulldog and strength of a bear. Energy for deep thinkers, strong-willed, rigid convictions, bold and authoritative.  Owl is the Mystic Ferryman who guides Earthlings on the return path to the stars holding the torch aloft.
