A Flight Path and the Coming Light

SPACEWEATHER.COM NEWS: 06/27/2026

A BIG ASTEROID IS ABOUT TO FLY PAST EARTH: It is often said that Earth is in a shooting gallery. This weekend, amateur astronomers can watch one of the bullets streak by.

Asteroid 1997 NC1’s journey on a path that began in the Constellation of Cygnus, the Swan, and leads to its closest approach to Earth in Ophiuchus, a Constellation that is mostly hidden from sight.

On June 27th, near-Earth asteroid 152637 (1997 NC1) will fly past Earth at a distance of 2.6 million kilometers. There’s no danger of a strike, but the flyby is significant anyway. This is a large, kilometer-class asteroid (between 0.7 and 1.6 km across) making its closest approach in more than 400 years.

And it will be visible in backyard telescopes. Six-inch optics are enough to see it. The asteroid will brighten to 10th magnitude as it races through the constellation Ophiuchus not far from red giant Antares. At closest approach, the speedy space rock will move so quickly that observers can watch it drift against the background stars in only a few minutes.

The flyby is unusually close for an object so large: The last encounter closer than this by a kilometer-class asteroid was in January 2022 by 1994 PC1. Statistically speaking, it is a once-in-a-decade event.

If 1997 NC1 struck Earth, it would blast a crater ~10 km wide and loft enough dust to alter global climate for years. There is, however, no danger of a collision for at least a century. Over the weekend, NASA astronomers will use a Deep Space Network radar to investigate the asteroid in case it ever becomes a hazard in the distant future.

Want to take a look? Go outside around midnight and point your optics south: sky map. Precise coordinates are available from JPL’s Horizons system. If you see anything, submit your images here.

MAJOR FLARE WATCH IN EFFECT: Giant sunspot 4478 has been quiet for days, but the clock is ticking. Now that the sunspot has rotated fully onto the solar disk, we can see that it has a mixed-polarity (delta-class) magnetic field that harbors energy for X-class solar flares.

MAJOR UPDATE: 06/27/2026

A CME IS COMING–ETA JUNE 30TH: A magnetic filament erupted from the sun’s southern hemisphere during the late hours of June 26th, hurling a CME into space. NASA models predict that it will strike Earth on June 30th. This is not a major CME, but it could spark a G1-class geomagnetic storm when it reaches Earth.

Detail will be forthcoming. It appears that behemoth Sunspot 4478 is the source, though it may also have been generated by 4477.

The NASA model will clarify the source and the path that leads to Earth. It bears resemblance to an X-Class Flare.

Mayan Calendar Time and Synchronicity

NASA: The Sun
The Sun is the star at the heart of our solar system. Its gravity holds the solar system together, keeping everything — from the biggest planets to the smallest bits of debris — in its orbit.

The Sun controls every heavenly body in our Solar System. The Father of Light and Author of Creation is the King of the Universe.

The Constellation of Cygnus is the Swan formed around the Northern Cross. Ophiuchus (o-fee-YOO-kəs) is a large constellation straddling the celestial equator. Its name comes from the Ancient Greek ὀφιοῦχος, meaning “serpent-bearer”, commonly represented as a man grasping a snake. The snake is a symbol of Enlightenment.

Often called the “13th sign of the zodiac,” the Sun passes through it in late autumn, though it is excluded from traditional Western astrology.

Ophiuchus is in the daytime sky and thus not visible at most latitudes. However, for much of the polar region north of the Arctic Circle in the Northern Hemisphere’s winter months, the Sun is below the horizon even at midday. Stars (and thus parts of Ophiuchus, especially Rasalhague) are then visible at twilight for a few hours around local noon, low in the south. In the Northern Hemisphere’s spring and summer months, when Ophiuchus is normally visible in the night sky, the constellation is actually not visible, because the midnight sun obscures the stars at those times and places in the Arctic. In countries close to the equator, Ophiuchus appears overhead in June around midnight and in the October evening sky. (Wikipedia: Ophiuchus)

Hebrews 11:1 KJV
11 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

“Things not seen” doesn’t mean they are invisible. On Wisdom/CIB we apply the Truth we have been seen in the past. Through the Divine Order of the universe, we know where it’s been and exactly where it will appear again. The Enlightenment of Ophiuchus appears “out of the blue”.

The Source of Enlightenment shares the Truth from the Source of all Light. It’s visible to those who by their own experience of the past, know where to look and seek to know the Truth.

On the Day of Ascension, 13 Wisdom/CIB, we are reminded of the Owl the Great Hunter who holds the Gift of Silent Flight. We saw the fluff on the feathers of the Owlets, the feature that makes it possible to move without striking the Wind. Silence allows it to hear its prey, beyond the sound of its own wings. An expansive wingspan also allows it to fly low and slow until the moment it strikes.  A Divine Meaning and purpose for the Owl is to rid the world of a source of death and disease, and to take it in without any threat to their own life.

CIB helps us to see the past as an archeological treasure to know the future we can see by the Truth we faced about our self at the foot of the Cross. We have to see the gravity of the situation to know we could only be set free by a Power Greater than Ourself.

13 Wisdom/CIB is an Ascension from the unseen Truth we couldn’t see before. We don’t have to wish we “knew then, what we know now”. Every experience of Life is ordered by God’s plan.

The Eaglets at Big Bear Valley are preparing for their first flight. They can feel the Wind and they wait for the Truth that can catch their Wings and guide them on a steady path. They know a Time is coming when all the conditions are right from what they’ve seen before. Their life will be made new. They are prepared for the future. Their telescopic vision offered a clear view of the place where Jackie and Shadow caught their dinner. They don’t leave the “table” until they “know” by what they’ve seen that they can reach the same end. And, they learned from Mom and Dad, that they will be watched over by the ones who have offered every provision of life since the beginning.

On the Day of Ascension we lose our fear of the future. Now it’s down to the perfect Time and Place.

So have we been prepared. Our journey to an abundant life of Light began at the Cross where the Author and Finisher of our Faith leads us through the Darkness to the end unseen that we Know will be by the Promise of the Spoken Word that created the Wind beneath our wings.

Waiting After the end is the Sign of the Honey Moon aka the Full Strawberry Moon, June 29, 2026 (MoonGiant.com). Strawberries were wild berries seen by the indigenous tribes as a Harvest tended by a Hand Above. They were a Sign of the Season of Light, where life springs forth and the Sign that the seeds we plant will grow by the work of a Human Hand who invests itself in the work of Creation.

Maybe today’s the Day that Luna and Sandy will launch into a new life. Only God knows the plan. On 3 Storm/CAUAC the Light the Light of Freedom strikes from Above. They may be guided to wait until 3 Storm/CAUAC, June 30, 2026 for the time they need to say goodbye to the life they knew before.

13 Wisdom/CIB (Cherokee, Cherokee, Owl U’GUKU’) – Ascension Day 13 of the 1 Seed/KAN trecena

Descriptions by Ian Xel Lungold (12 Sun/AHAU), wisdom and Free Calculator preserved on MayanMajix.com

Galactic Tone 13: Ascension; Thirteen assists us to go to the next higher step, propels us to try something new or to try again. Thirteen energy takes us over the next mountain just to see what is there. Thirteen carries the last success to the newest effort. Thirteen is a number associated with the Ascended Masters, creation, expansion, and manifestation.

Wisdom/CIB: The old ones. Wisdom of the ancients. Wisdom persons are aligned with the ancient memories that wait in the stone of temples and sacred sites all over the world. Wisdom people grow luck like a crop using a balance of prudence and tenacity. The tremendous inner strength of this sign enables silent introspection to discover areas of oneself that contain wisdom more valuable than any trove of archaeological treasure. Wisdom persons are valiant defenders of family and community. They may become hardened to life and sentiment turned cold. In these cases, they need much forgiveness for their uncaring errors. Periodically connecting with nature and or visiting sacred sites will bring great stability to wisdom persons.

A GOOD DAY TO: Sit on a rock.

Cherokee, Owl U’GUKU’ : Symbol is the Owl is Arcturus, the brightest Star in the Constellation Bootes. The Cherokee Bear constellation (Ursa Major) includes the Big Dipper plus four stars in Bootes.  Owl is a hunter, who stands for the wisdom and ability of all great hunters, the cunning of a fox, the tenacity of a bulldog and strength of a bear. Energy for deep thinkers, strong-willed, rigid convictions, bold and authoritative.  Owl is the Mystic Ferryman who guides Earthlings on the return path to the stars holding the torch aloft.
