The Food Keeps Coming
Jackie and Shadow are preparing Luna and Sandy for their first flight. They have been expending lots of energy on flight practice, and it’s clear the whole family knows the fledge is right around the corner.
A father Eagle I once observed on an Oklahoma webcam, brought a big fish back to the nest after their eaglet fledged. He didn’t touch it. He brought it so it would be there if the little one returned. The father’s fishing spot was a branch in the middle of the river within clear view of the nest. That was the fledgling’s first destination – facing into the wind and water rushing by, waiting for the next fish to flow upstream.
Jackie and Shadow are very good Eagle parents. So far, there’s been no sibling rivalry. Sunny and Gizmo, sisters from the last fledglings, remained close soaring in the surrounding skies. Sandy’s little brother, Luna, may be set to take off in a different direction – or maybe he’ll stick around to pester his sister.
This was an easy clutch after losing two eggs in the first try. Jackie only had to huddle in the snow for one day. And she timed incubation perfectly so they were both born on Easter Sunday.
Eagles have Tetrachromatic Vision – five times the power of the human eye to see vivid colors as well as Ultraviolet Light. Jackie and Shadow likely see the heat in the nest and can sense shifts of energy or body chemistry. They can see traces of urine trails left by their prey from nearly 2 miles away.
They are laying a table in celebration as an offering for a successful future… as many parents do on graduation day.

Galactic Tone 13: Ascension; Thirteen assists us to go to the next higher step, propels us to try something new or to try again. Thirteen energy takes us over the next mountain just to see what is there. Thirteen carries the last success to the newest effort. Thirteen is a number associated with the Ascended Masters, creation, expansion, and manifestation.
Wisdom/CIB: The old ones. Wisdom of the ancients. Wisdom persons are aligned with the ancient memories that wait in the stone of temples and sacred sites all over the world. Wisdom people grow luck like a crop using a balance of prudence and tenacity. The tremendous inner strength of this sign enables silent introspection to discover areas of oneself that contain wisdom more valuable than any trove of archaeological treasure. Wisdom persons are valiant defenders of family and community. They may become hardened to life and sentiment turned cold. In these cases, they need much forgiveness for their uncaring errors. Periodically connecting with nature and or visiting sacred sites will bring great stability to wisdom persons.

Cherokee, Owl U’GUKU’ : Symbol is the Owl is Arcturus, the brightest Star in the Constellation Bootes. The Cherokee Bear constellation (Ursa Major) includes the Big Dipper plus four stars in Bootes. Owl is a hunter, who stands for the wisdom and ability of all great hunters, the cunning of a fox, the tenacity of a bulldog and strength of a bear. Energy for deep thinkers, strong-willed, rigid convictions, bold and authoritative. Owl is the Mystic Ferryman who guides Earthlings on the return path to the stars holding the torch aloft.
