Light Raining Down from the Sun

PROTONS ARE RAINING DOWN ON EARTH: Yesterday’s long-duration solar flare from sunspot 4492 accelerated a stream of energetic protons toward Earth. They are striking our atmosphere now. This is called a “solar radiation storm.” Current storm levels are minor (S1-class), which means the protons pose no significant threat to astronauts or air travelers.
This event is causing Polar Cap Absorption (PCA) by ionizing the D-region of the ionosphere, leading to degraded or blacked-out high-frequency (HF) shortwave radio communications for polar flight routes.

A BIG CME JUST LEFT THE SUN: And it might hit Earth. NOAA’s CCOR-1 coronagraph recorded the CME on July 30th.
The CME was launched by an M1.9-class solar flare from sunspot 4492. Technically, the flare’s peak was not very strong, but the explosion lasted for hours, long enough to lift a significant CME out of the sun’s atmosphere.
A NASA model suggests this CME will graze Earth on Aug. 2nd. The glancing blow could spark a G2-class geomagnetic storm with high-latitude auroras.

Alpha Capricornids, Taken by Brian Mcdonough on July 30, 2026 @ Tarrytown, NY
“The fireball splintered into a number of smaller pieces,” says Mcdonough. “It took over 3 seconds to cross the sky and was brighter than Vega. One of the most amazing meteors I’ve ever seen.”
Although this shower produces only a handful of meteors per hour, many are fireballs. Look for them tonight between midnight and dawn. The alpha Capricornids peak on July 30-31.
“Unlike typical swift meteors, Alpha Capricornid debris enters our atmosphere at a slow velocity of just 14 miles per second (23 km/s). This produces long, dramatic, and slow-burning streaks that linger in the sky.” (Source: American Meter Society)

How to Locate the Radiant Tonight
- Look to the south-southeast around midnight. Capricornus looks like a large, faint, arrowhead or a skewed triangle. The radiant point sits on the western (right) side of this triangle.
- Timing is Key: The radiant rises into view after 9:00 PM, but it reaches its highest point in the southern sky around 1:00 AM local time, which offers your best chance to spot fireballs.

A teacher, healer, pathfinder and transformer. Sharp as obsidian, gentle as a lamb. Totem -Dog. Loyalty and faithfulness that survives beyond death. This was the first day of creation energy in this 4th world, sets the energy for love, loyalty and faithfulness on the 5200 year cycle. Heart chakra energy is involved so that we can move to the state of “unconditional love” with compassion. All sexual desire issues that are not in harmony will surface to be cleared.
