The 10-Day Journey to the Day of Atonement
Confession brings to mind the sins we’ve hidden or covered up. Skeletons in the closet are still in active operation in the discernment of who we are. Shame becomes an unseen stronghold buried in the shadows of our mind.
“Jews Don’t Repent, They Do Teshuvah Instead” (Chabad.org, by Tzvi Freeman)
The Jewish tradition of Teshuvah is often mistranslated as “repentance.” Teshuvah (תשובה) means turning yourself around. Recovering. Realigning. Getting back to who you truly are, to your inner soul, to the purpose for which you were sent to this world. And yet higher.
2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV)
7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
A personal reckoning can make us vulnerable to spiritual warfare. We can get stuck on the sin of our greatest shame. It vexes our Spirit to remember. We must remember, but we never have to “follow that road” in the shame of re-experiencing our personal trauma.
Jesus died for us, so that a New Spirit of purity can be the “I Am” that carries on. The evil one can steal our joy, but not our Salvation. The question that matters is, “Who am I now?”
Mayan Calendar Time and Synchronicity
The depths of human sin are on full display as everyday headline news. It’s hard not to discern that we are one wretched lot. That’s not a thought or feeling given by the Lord. Our Father clearly sees the darkness in the world. Our eyes have been shielded from the worst we can imagine… until we were transformed by the blood of Christ, and the Holy Spirit.
We Know our Master’s Voice. We were given the Truth to stand in Right Relationship, to see, acknowledge, and claim what was freely given.
ETZNAB “beams the Stellar Ray of Truth to Earth as a crystal sword cast down along the path of a lightning flash.”

Greetings Beloved Kin,
Flint/ETZNAB changes Static Energy by the Truth for Dynamic Change. ETZNAB cuts to the heart of a matter as a symbol of the Sacred Flint Knife. Another name is Mirror – the Truth written on our face.
The Higher we climb on our Road to Ascension, the more of everything we see all around. Tone 4 holds the Truth for an intention of stability. On Tone 4 (the 4th Hour) we establish a strategy as “the rules of the game”. The First thing the Maya did when they reached the field of corn was to survey the landscape and decide where to start and how to finish the work at hand.
Humans are naturally inclined to do that, unless we are distracted by doubt, fear, and shame.
Hebrews 12:2 (KJV)
2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
ETZNAB’s glyph illustrates a pinnacle Truth where stairways from the 4 corners of the Earth lead to Only One. Mirrors and crystals are symbols of Reflection. We are Reflecting on the Past to reach Holy Ground.
Yom Kippur celebrates a Year of Divine Justice ahead. The Seeds we Harvest will carry us through the next year.
On Flint the Truth speaks for itself. Spirit is our Invisible “I Am” that becomes visible when we don’t speak. In silence, the Truth is written on our face.
We don’t have to answer every question or respond to every request. Time is a Gift.
Instead of hiding the fear and shame, turn away and Ask what to do. The Lord sees “Who we are” as who we aspire to be.
Flint’s Truth is always good news, even if the Truth hurts. Flint is a Day of Temptation and Spiritual Warfare. “I can’t take anymore.” Don’t speak when emotions rule.
Jesus gave his Heart as a personal sacrifice. Every drop of blood was Holy. We only have to Ask to know the Truth, to Remember.
Our Spirit is being Re-formed. We need 10 Days to clear out the wreckage of our past.
Static energy can build through the Day. A burden lifts during the 8th Watch, the Hour when Jesus died.
Everyone is effected on Flint Days. Offer forbearance and wide-berth on the Road. Everyone is tempted to “act out of character”.
love, in lak’ech, “i am another you”

Recovery
On Yom Kippur, we are all in recovery.
Recovery of our true selves.
Look beneath the stormy waves of life, beyond the failures, the guilt, and the pride.
Beneath the surface dwells a calm, pure soul that only desires to fulfill the divine purpose for which it came to this place. To run to do a mitzvah. To absorb the wisdom of Torah. To find an infinite G‑d in all you do upon this earth.
Embrace that essence. Return to it.
Recover that which is truly yours.
A mitzvah (plural: mitzvot) literally means a commandment or religious duty in Judaism, but in everyday speech, it is commonly used to mean a good deed.
PRAYERS FROM THE SIXTH WATCH – THANKSGIVING PRAYER
The Bible refers to Watchers from Above (‘iyr in Hebrew) in Daniel 4:13, 17, 23. We are called to our prayers by high-ranking angelic beings sent from heaven to observe and execute divine decrees. Take note of the Time when you are inspired to turn to the Lord. May we remember all those who pray as one when we say Amen.
THE EIGHT WATCHES
Night Watch
First Watch: 6 pm – 9 pm – Contemplation and laying foundations in prayer.
Second Watch: 9 pm – 12 am – Intercessory prayer for protection of ourselves and those around us
Third Watch: 12 am – 3 am – Spiritual warfare
Fourth Watch: 3 am – 6 am – Prophetic prayer because you are commanding your morning with prophetic decrees and declaring God’s word
Day Watch
Fifth Watch: 6 am – 9 am – Petitions. Ask for strength and surrender. Ask for the Holy Spirit to help you before you start your day
Sixth Watch: 9 am – 12 pm – Thanksgiving prayer
Seventh Watch : 12 pm – 3 pm – This is the seventh watch of rest. 7 Biblically represents that. This is a time to seek God in the secret place
Eighth Watch: 3 pm – 6 pm – This is the eight and final watch of the night and a time for prayer for revival and renewal. Symbolically, Christ died at 3 pm.
THE TRECENA OF EAGLE/MEN: ASCENDING TO A HIGHER PERSPECTIVE
Visit the 13-Day Trecena Guide Page for the “Tzolk’in Field Guide: A Daily Practice for Personal Discernment.” My gift for the Tzolk’in round offers an overview for each 13-day trecena and the aspects of each day of the Tzolk’in round. The page also offers a link to resources for your own practice of counting the days to conceive your own discernment of the Meaning of Time.

Tone 1 sets the Intention for each 13-Day cycle. Tone 13 is the Intention Realized at the end. We Ascend on 13 Deer/MANIK, which defines our Divine Purpose. The final 13 Days of the Tzolk’in follow as 1 Star/LAMAT, leading to the Ascension of the Scion on 13 Sun/AHAU… the Answer to the Creator’s prayer as we are United as One.
4 Flint/ETZNAB (Cherokee, Flint/DAWI’SGALA) – Day 4 of 13 of the 1 Eagle/MEN trecena
Descriptions by Ian Xel Lungold (12 Sun/AHAU), wisdom and Tzolk’in calculator preserved on MayanMajix.com
Galactic Tone 4: Stability; the cube is most stable of all forms and establishes volume by definition of height, length, depth and breadth; 4 directions establish orientation. The energy of 4 sets the parameters, which establish the freedoms and barriers needed to create a game, work, or relationship.
Flint/ETZNAB: Mirror of reality. As a struck flint, these persons are the divine sparks of intelligence. Flint’s innate abilities are utilized to discriminate emotions from fact. Flint persons stand tireless to protect, defend, or cure others by personal sacrifice. By courageously wielding the sword of truth, falsehoods are cut away. Flints, it was said, can receive information on inter-personal troubles or evil plots of others by reflecting in an obsidian mirror. Their valiant service as warriors of the truth must be impeccable or they will experience sufferings of accidents, misunderstandings and gossip.
Cherokee, Flint/DAWI’SGALA: Opener of the Way, a creator, innovator, stretches the mind to outside limits of capabilities. Changes the static to the dynamic. Brings about change, often through separation and destruction. Beams the Stellar Ray of Truth to Earth as a crystal sword cast down along the path of a lightning flash. The transformer brings things to a head and wipes the slate clean.
