CME IMPACT ALERT: Interplanetary Shock

Interplanetary Shock at L1 (01:25 UTC)

Alert Time: Oct 2, 2026, 8:38 PM (CDT)

An interplanetary shock wave — usually the leading edge of a CME — struck the Solar-1 spacecraft at 01:25 UTC.

The jump was recorded across the solar wind channels simultaneously:

  • Solar wind speed: 272 → 287 km/s
  • Proton density: 2.9 → 9.6 protons/cm³
  • Temperature: 32k → 85k K
  • Magnetic field strength: 3.6 → 4.0 nT

Whether this impact grows into a geomagnetic storm depends on the magnetic field inside the CME: if it tips south, storming and auroras can follow within hours. Watch for BsubZ and geomagnetic (Kp) alerts next — the impact is the starting gun, not the storm itself.

Lead time: at the post-shock solar wind speed of 287 km/s, conditions measured at L1 reach Earth in about 87 minutes.

What is an Interplanetary Shock?

An interplanetary (IP) shock is a massive, fast-moving disturbance in the solar wind that propagates across the solar system. These events are a type of collisionless shock, meaning that energy is transferred between particles via electromagnetic fields rather than direct physical impacts. ~ NASA

Interplanetary (IP) Shock and a Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) are closely related. The NASA resource explains, “Think of a CME as a supersonic jet and the IP Shock as the sonic boom traveling ahead of it.”

This shock is forecast to deliver a G1 Solar Storm. The after-effects will be affected by Earth’s equinox alignment with stronger connections between the Sun and the Earth’s magnetic poles.

Interplanetary Shock Can:

  • Trigger intense geomagnetic storms and vibrant auroras.
  • Induce electrical currents on the ground (GICs) that threaten power grids.
  • Accelerate high-energy particles that pose radiation risks to spacecraft electronics and astronauts.

Mayan Calendar Time and Synchronicity

6 Reed/BEN represents a two-way channel for the Communion of Spirit; 6 symbolizes 2 Divine Trinities united as 1 (3 x 2=6). The channel is open as the Reed “hollow bone” for the Sound to travel. Star/LAMAT, the symbol of the Scion, leads the final climb of Faith… not by our own merit, but carried out by a Higher Power. Can you hear me now? 🙂

Visit the 13-Day Trecena Guide Page for the “Tzolk’in Field Guide: A Daily Practice for Personal Discernment.” My gift for the Tzolk’in round offers an overview for each 13-day trecena and the aspects of each day of the Tzolk’in round. The page also offers a link to resources for your own practice of counting the days to conceive your own discernment of the Meaning of Time.

4TH SEASON: 1 Wisdom/CIB begins the 4th Season of the Tzolk’in that ends in the final Ascension of 1 Star/LAMAT, the Light of the Scion on 13 Sun/AHAU – VOLUME 2: Tzolk’in Seasons 3 and 4 (PUBLISHED SEPTEMBER 20, 2020)

Galactic Tone 6: Six is responsiveness and the art of negotiation. It is the movement of volume through space that creates time. This energy in action is like the art of dance or a great athlete in motion. Six facilitates dynamic developments in all aspects of life.

Reed/BEN: Reed persons are the spiritual essence, protectors and guiding light for family and home. They are competent speakers who will take up a cause. Very tough and analytical, Reeds endeaver to bring peace, harmony, and order to all of their relations. Reeds are blessed with great skill at negotiations and consoling which are very often put to the test. Although Reeds need a log of appreciation, many have a marriage or business problems because of inflexible views and high expectations, which erode affinity. The lesson of Reed is to be like a garden hose, not a steel pipe.

A GOOD DAY TO: Bless and repair your house.

Cherokee, Reed/I’HYA: Symbol-Reed is the Earth, reflection of the Star Chaga of Pollux. Reed made up the Magician Twins who led the journey to bring back to life the daughter of the Sun. The Casket is Gemini.  Energy for Intellectual minds, creation, re-creation, new directions, breaking the ties that bind.  A trailblazer and leader. From the East, direction of success and happiness, no matter what route is taken, always ending up in the Light.

Pollux is the immortal Twin of Gemini. Castor was the Twin born of a mortal Father. They were inseparable until Castor died fighting a battle with Pollux at his side. Pollux asked Zeus to give his immortality to his brother. He agreed they would each share an equal half, so that their lights could shine together to their ends.

The Geminids Meteor Shower peaks overnight on December 13–14, 2026. They appear on December 4 and remain to December 20, 2026. They are the Signs of Spirit that herald the Winter Solstice, December 21, 2026 when our darkest nights are over.
