Serpens contains one of the best known nebulae in the sky, the Eagle Nebula (Messier 16), which in turn contains the Pillars of Creation, a star-forming region famously imaged by Hubble.
Located in the Serpens Constellation is the Eagle Nebula’s Pillars of Creation. With these new images comes better contrast and a clearer view for astronomers to study how the structure of the pillars is changing over time. Source: Hubble Space Telescope
