Jackie and Shadow are a Divine Provision

The Circumstances

There have been high winds in Big Bear Valley that have provided some heart-stopping moments as Luna and Sandy venture out on a limb. FOBBV footage shows her spreading her wings. She managed to land a few branches below and Jackie made her way quickly to offer support. Though, shortly after Sandy took off in another direction.

Prayers of gratitude for a Divine Provision is the best approach. Both Sandy and Luma are well practiced and prepared, and Mom and Dad will feed her while she’s away from home. Luna could use some prayers as he is now alone in the nest.

The Food Keeps Coming

Jackie and Shadow are preparing Luna and Sandy for their first flight. They have been expending lots of energy on flight practice, and it’s clear the whole family knows the fledge is right around the corner.

A father Eagle I once observed on an Oklahoma webcam, brought a big fish back to the nest after their eaglet fledged. He didn’t touch it. He brought it so it would be there if the little one returned. The father’s fishing spot was a branch in the middle of the river within clear view of the nest. That was the fledgling’s first destination – facing into the wind and water rushing by, waiting for the next fish to flow upstream.
