SPACEWEATHER.COM NEWS: APRIL 16, 2024
OVERDUE CME FINALLY ARRIVES: Arriving almost two days later than expected, a CME hit Earth’s magnetic field during the late hours of April 16th. The impact did not cause a geomagnetic storm, but it was strong enough to spark bright auroras around the Arctic Circle. Sacha Layos photographed the display from Fairbanks, Alaska.
