MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
I looked back at the Star/LAMAT trecena to reflect on the purpose we were meant to manifest. Tracking the Evolution of Human Consciousness, the calendar is marking the end of an entire Tzolk’in round and our Highest Transformation.
We’ve completed the work of a Vision Quest. Our next steps help us realize the Blessing that was Given. Earth/CABAN as Mother Earth reminds us we are One and the Same.
I was having a hard time tuning in to Tone 10. Then, as I was mindlessly cooking dinner I noticed a conversation in my head. I was defending myself to someone of authority that I was worthy of an expense. What caught my attention was this internal accounting of my accomplishments. Hello, 10.
Tone 10 sets an intention to acknowledge what we’ve created. Star/LAMAT is already celebrating, and multiplying to abundance the effort of an entire round. We are still headed to a Total Realization. This is a day to draw our own conclusions.
Earth/CABAN reminds us we are a body in perpetual motion. Our transformation is always in progress from one moment to the next. More important than who we are, we must consider who we are Becoming.
On our Vision Quest journey, this is the time of breaking the silence and the fast. The inspirations drawn from personal retreat are like raw gems. It’s important to hold them in Spirit and to look at them for a time. By defining our experience to someone else, we limit what it might become.
We are called to tell our story to Earth/CABAN. Earth is our Mother who would look upon us and see something of Herself. No matter how big we grow we are all still her children. She will know our Joy in a single smile.
To all my relations, as we take stock of ourselves, may we not overlook the Greatest Transformation was made in the small steps we took each day. May we see our joy is multiplied to abundance every time we look into the moment and know that our Mother Earth and All of Creation is present to celebrate.

10 Earth/CABAN (Cherokee, Heron/GUWI’SGUWI)
Galactic Tone 10: Manifestation. What were once intentions or ideas, hopes or fears become physically present with the energy of Ten. What is focused upon with attention and intention becomes real with Ten. Ten is a powerful energy that carries a great responsibility.
Earth/Caban: Earth/Caban: Keeper of the garden of Earth. Profound synchronistic connections to Earth’s natural cycles and energies provide power of creations and memories of ancient wisdom. Earth persons help dispel bad intentions, habits and ideas. This makes them very good counselors and masters of all arts. Studious and intelligent, Earth persons endeavor to bring a flow of natural order to all aspects of life. Being connected to the dynamic forces of nature, Earth persons need much liberty to facilitate their expression of migration or the sending of long distance communications such as the whales, elephants, birds and many other creatures. Sometimes Earth’s delicate sensitivities are upset resulting in quakes of emotion even the display of volcanic temper.
Cherokee, Heron/GUWI’SGUWI: Sign of movement and perpetual motion, Heron is symbolized by Deneb, located in the Northern Cross beside the Milky Way. “The Northern Cross is the Tree of Life, Beside the Milky Way River & Perched atop is Guwi’ sguwi, the Cherokee Heron Spirit Bird, comparable to the Phoenix that rises from the ashes of the past.
