MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
Serpent lights the fuse that magnifies and explodes the life force itself. Cherokee Sacred Calendar
Seed/KAN revealed that the process of our transformation is a constant and perpetual process of change. We are forever finding a new point of balance. Our stability lies in embracing our own dynamic nature.
Serpent/CHICCHAN is a Day Sign that ignites our Spirit. On Tone 5 of Empowerment we are offered an Experience of Feeling the wonder of who we are. Serpent/CHICCHAN helps us to discover our inner power through the gift of “lightning in the blood.” We can draw upon tangible feelings as evidence of Spirit and a tool for personal direction.
The Maya related these physical sensations to the 6th sense, born of the feelings in the heart. The experiences and revelations that are brought to us by Chicchan are felt in the physical body.
Our own body is a Universe Within where the Ether of our Consciousness resides. Our own Spirit has the capability to speak to us through our physical sensations. Serpent calls us to be in touch with these feelings and helps to make it possible.
The distractions of the world require us to Consciously Draw Awareness to what our body can tell us. The physical sensations can call awareness to our Spirit in the moment. We are asked to give credit to our goosebumps, hair raising, gut feelings, and hunches. Serpent energy is related to rising of kundalini energy. If we pay attention, Serpent energy is powerful enough to make an impression.
We can get in touch with the Voice of our Body by paying attention to the BASIC conversation it engages with us every day. Our body tells us when it’s hungry, when it’s tired, or when it needs water. As we begin to Consciously listen, acknowledge, and respond to this Voice we are opened to deeper and more subtle communication. We have all likely had an experience of walking into a room where we sensed something going on. Serpent/CHICCHAN serves to prove our sense of “inner knowing” is real.
Chicchan is making our final preparations for the peak energies of the IMIX trecena that begin on Tone 6. Chicchan knows that believing in the inherent power of our Spirit is the key that opens us to consider our Highest Dreams.
Little by little we are learning to rely on instinct over reason. Through an application of our Intellect, we can rest in the Faith that we are moving forward with a Sacred Intention as an Unseen Power in play. We are able to look beyond our mental diliberations of what we consider facts presenting themselves. Our Truth is an ever-changing constant. What we see as the Truth in any given moment, is only a static reflection of a moment. We can rely on the “gut feeling” that we are moving forward and through whatever challenge is presented in any moment.
To all my relations, may we open ourselves to a fuller realization of who we are. We are bodies filled with the Ether of Spirit. May we be open to a deeper experience of Spirit by recognizing a Voice that speaks the Truth through our feelings so we might have a deeper understanding of everything we are.

5 Serpent/CHICCHAN (Cherokee, Serpent/DO’TSI)
Galactic Tone 5: Empowerment. At the center of the cube we find Five. Five is an intelligent, organizing force which manages communications and materials, knowledge and application. Fives are natural net workers who gather what is needed. These persons can probe directly to the core of any situation making them excellent investigators.
Serpent/CHICCHAN: Movement and the creation of time. Sensual and dramatic, this sun sign embodies intense instinctual wisdom and creates a connection from Earth bound, to Heavenly aspirations. By sincere service to others, Serpent opens and expands its heart. Serpent aligns authority and the truth to bring justice that is quick and sure. Serpents are very adaptable, even fluid until trapped in a corner, and then they explode. Serpents, venomous temper poisons itself as well as others by creating resentful, suppressive and even destructive attitudes.
Cherokee, Serpent/DO’TSI: Serpent’s symbol is Constellation Serpens. Serpent people are Sky people who come to earth periodically as Educators. As above-So below, on Earth the Serpent is the roots of the tree of knowledge. Serpent power is vital energy, the moving force, the instinct and desire for creativity, the trigger that sets off the action. It lights the fuse that magnifies and explodes the life force itself. Knowledge, combining science, technology and psychology, plus spirituality are seeded on the planet.
