X-CLASS SOLAR FLARES SHATTER THE QUIET (UPDATED): The sun has been quiet for weeks. That ended today with two powerful X-class solar flares. In quick succession, sunspot 4419 unleashed X2.4 (0107 UT) and X2.5 (0813 UT) explosions. Alerted by the first flare, Austrian astrophotographer Michael Jaeger caught the second:

 

Both solar flares caused shortwave radio blackouts on Earth–the first over the Pacific Ocean near Australia, and the second over the Persian Gulf. Anyone using shortwave radios in those areas may have noticed loss of signal at frequencies below 20 MHz just after the respective flares.

Both flares also hurled CMEs into space. First-look NASA models suggest that the two storm clouds will barely miss Earth, although we can’t yet rule out at least one glancing blow on April 26th.

COMET PANSTARRS IN SOHO CORONAGRAPHS: Comet PanSTARRS (C/2025 R3) is passing between Earth and the sun. The bright comet is invisible from Earth because of the sun’s glare, but space-based coronagraphs have a great view. 

The image (right) is a still image. Here is the latest movie from SOHO. CMEs launched by today’s high solar activity could interact with the comet this weekend, so stay tuned.

A cycle of a New Life is reaching maturity and Time is ordered for our Tree of Life to branch out to multiply to abundance. Day 1 of every cycle is a meaningful reference to remember the Intention you set from the beginning.

Galactic Tone 2: Mysterious as the question ‘to be or not to be?” Two is the recognition of the separation of self from all else and the desire to be rejoined. Walking a balance while making choices of all kinds, light/dark, male/female, good/bad, Yin/Yang, is the energy of this number. Experiencing the differences between one and another is the use and purpose of this number.

Reed/BEN: Reed persons are the spiritual essence, protectors and guiding light for family and home. They are competent speakers who will take up a cause. Very tough and analytical, Reeds endeavor to bring peace, harmony and order to all of their relations. Reeds are blessed with great skill at negotiations and consoling which are very often put to the test. Although Reeds need a lot of appreciation, they may have marriage or business problems because of inflexible vies and high expectations, which erode affinity. The lesson for Reed is to be like a garden hose, not a steel pipe.
