MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
We begin every trecena in Unity with the Creator. We were opened to receive a Divine Inspiration, a Dream that would offer us a Purpose and Intention. We were inspired to imagine a New World and a Divine Reason for Being.
On Tone 2 we are separated from the Whole to make a discernment of our Self. We are prepared to make a Choice of whether we would bring our Dream to Life.
As Beings of Duality, we reason through a process of comparison. Our Lower Self compares our Self to Others, defining how we are more or less up to the task. We consider our own strengths and weaknesses, and the advantages or disadvantages as we would compare them to others. Our Lower Self longs to be made One with the Whole, reacting to the ways we might see our Self as “not enough” or “not equal” in our capability.
Wind/IK represents the Breath of Life and the Breath of Spirit. We are preparing for a Choice to bring a new Intention to Life. Wind/IK reminds us that Everything that IS was born of a Dream breathed to Life by the Creator that included an Intention of Harmony and Equity for all.
Under the guidance of the IMIX trecena, we are offered a world of our imagination. Our “wild ideas” were intended to shake us out of our pre-existing patterns of thinking. IMIX offers us a place in time – a beginning that has no history. 2 Wind/IK offers us an opportunity to re-Create our Self.
IMIX guides us to experience our Self in a new way and empowers us as Creators of Innovation. Creating something new means we leave behind the idea that “this is the way it’s always been done.” We can choose to bring a Higher Level of Consciousness and Intention of Divine Discernment. We’ll have more to rely on than our Human Mind of Reason. We could operate on the “wild idea” that we are connected to All Knowledge through a Universal Consciousness.
Most who follow a path of Spiritual Consciousness accept, at least in concept, the idea of a Universal Mind. If we believe the Creator knows our thoughts and experiences, we could reason that the Creator’s mind holds the Wisdom of all Experience. Living as though we could access this Wisdom could still sound like a pretty “wild idea.” But, what if we did? What if we brought Life to a Dream believing all our questions would be answered? What might be our Level of Consciousness in another 260-days if we operated on this Truth?
The Wind/IK glyph pictures the portals that are carved in stone for the purpose of hearing the Voice of the Creator. So does the Creator hear our Voice on the Wind. The Cherokee Whirlwind symbolizes the wind that carries the smoke of our prayers heavenward to the Creator. The Wind can also change directions quickly.
2 Wind/IK represents the Master Number 22 as the Day Sign in Position 2, on Galactic Tone 2. Master Number 22 carries the energies of diplomacy, intuition and emotion, balance and harmony, and manifesting our highest ideals and desires. Number 22 is a number of power and accomplishment that leads us to seek our own spiritual life path and soul purpose.
To all my relations, as we dream about who we want to be, may we let go of “perfect” and measure our Dream by Divine Standards. May we hold an Intention to see ourselves in the “right place at the right time,” seeing every experience as part of a new unfolding story. May we allow ourselves the freedom to change direction quickly and leave all our options open. Being Genius means we can consider more than one way to accomplish the same thing. May we listen for the Wind and know the Creator is as near as the breeze that rustles our hair and touches our cheek.

2 Wind/IK (Cherokee Whirlwind/ DAK’SI I’SB)
Galactic Tone 2: Mysterious as the question ‘to be or not to be?” Two is the recognition of the separation of self from all else and the desire to be rejoined. Walking a balance while making choices of all kinds, light/dark, male/female, good/bad, Yin/Yang, is the energy of this number. Experiencing the differences between one and another is the use and purpose of this number.
Wind/IK: Breath of Spirit, breath of life. Winds embody the power of dissemination and planting of good seeds or ideas. Dreamers and planners with powerful imaginations, Wind persons make great orators and they spread the word of spiritual inspiration as it is carried by the wind. Wind is the power behind the movement of natural cycles such as weather, erosion, and cultural change. As the wind, these persons are extremely changeable and adaptable. They may appear inconsistent or fickle to others. Wind can be destructive to self and others by putting on airs. When Winds strut and boast, expanding on facts and accomplishments, they are building the dark clouds of trouble that may become hurricanes.
Cherokee, Whirlwind/AGALU’GA: Whirlwind’s symbol is a double spiral helix in rising smoke. Wind brings energy for an Inquiring mind, learning and wisdom. In Cherokee, the constellations are represented by 12 birds (dancers), the 13th bird is the Whirlwind, the lead dancer. This reflects the whirling of life. Wind is the breath of the Universe (matching the Mayan symbol) channel of communication and carries the Sacred Smoke to the Great Spirit (Source- Hunab Ku in Mayan); matches the pulse of the breath of the Cosmos.

By providing the original text, I hope to offer a way to see what inspired my thoughts and by including all the aspects – allow for something more to inspire you. Mayan descriptions are those written by Ian Lungold. Cherokee descriptions came from multiple sources.
