MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
The next 13 days…
We begin a new cycle of Transformation under Storm/CAUAC. Storm brings the energy of Lightning and the potential for Ecstatic Experience. Just as Earth is regenerated through the force of lightening, so will our Spirits be renewed through an electric charge of “lightening in the blood.”
Storm/CAUAC is the Day Sign that calls us home to a sanctuary within. From the Center of our Own Universe we can witness Storm’s Beauty as Freedom of Movement. We begin from an Ascension that swept away burdens of our past. We are Free to see the Vision of the Future.
4th to 5th Uinal: Stability to Empowerment
2 Sun/AHAU will complete the 4th Uinal, a 20-day cycle that reflects a Higher Intention of Stability. We are stabilized on the Tone of Duality. The Sun shines its Full Light on the two sides of Human, to establish a solid foundation and orientation of Body and Spirit. We may feel our first shift of energy as we move to the 5th Uinal of Empowerment. 3 IMIX will inspire us to Dream a Higher Dream of New Power that will be seated within Human. The energy of a new season will begin to pick up steam.
PORTAL DAYS: Element of Ether
The CAUAC trecena offers 2 Portal Days that thin the veil to the dimension of Spirit. These are days when we are likely to experience our Supernatural Gifts of Spirit, and feel our connection to the Creator. On 7 Serpent/CHICCHAN, we will be balanced by a new in-pouring of “lightning in the blood,” the Force of Life that ignites the Human Spirit. On 10 Star/LAMAT, the Tone of Manifestation, we manifest our own Light, like a Star, and given the totem Rabbit, who Multiplies to Abundance. These are both powerful Kin of Spiritual Energy.
PEAK DAYS: Peak Performance
Peak Days of the trecena mark significant times of Spiritual Growth and Transformation, and the Reciprocity between the Above and the Below.
- 6 Seed/KAN – establishes a Rhythm, Flow, and Pattern of Movement that is aligned with our Spiritual DNA, so we may walk in the Truth of our own Magic.
- 7 Serpent/CHICCHAN – will Balance Body and Soul with an in-pouring of Spirit we can Feel throughout the body.
- 8 Transformer/CIMI – begins our Transformation, as Major Life Change will return the Divine Justice of the Creator, offering the Power of Divine Intervention.
- 9 Deer/MANIK – we are Transformed by the Spiritual Tools of the Deer, the symbol of the priest and shaman. We will be empowered as the Hand of God.
ASCENSION: Tone 13
13 Monkey/CHUEN represents a significant day of Ascension, under the Day Sign of the Creator, who weaves together the tapestry of our life’s experience.
An Ascension from the Transformer/CIMI trecena raised us to Higher Ground. We were given an experience of Anticipating Major Change. Offering CIMI’s gift of Clairvoyance our Awareness was Raised to a Promise of a Celebration Prepared by a Divine Creator for everyone that chooses it. Our deepest Dreams of Change were raised to our Consciousness.
The “September 23rd” prophecy gave us a reason to imagine what we hope life could be. Part of the experience was looking for the Divine Signs of a Creator. We were shown a Way to navigate the changes of every day… holding Faith in a Brighter Future, Acknowledging the Blessings of today, and Acknowledging the Signs that are present in everything around us.
Yesterday, the news reflected the Signs of Humanity’s search for common ground. It would seem NFL football is a common rallying point in the USA that exceeds the influence of political differences. I haven’t thought much about players who have taken a position of kneeling on the field through our national anthem. I was curious to see the response to the demand for firings of those would would take such a position. More people locking arms and kneeling together seemed to evidence Human’s deep desire for Unity and Common Ground. We are seeking a foundation of Common Allegiance.
The Storm/CAUAC trecena offers the energy of renewal and regeneration. Storm’s movement can change our directions quickly. CAUAC can renew our sense of Unity and Inspire us through Divine Inspiration. Storm’s Lightning is a connection of Light between Heaven and Earth.
The correspondent Cherokee Day Sign, the Redbird, is represented by Alcyone, acknowledged as the Central Sun of the Universe, the Heart of Heaven. Redbird is the daughter of the Sun Spirit, sign of Fire, and Sun’s alter ego on Earth. Lightning was seen as the visible evidence of Redbird Spirit in the Sky.
On Tone 1 we commit ourselves again. The Creator knows our Human Nature to look for New Horizons. Like the Nitrogen of a storm bring new energy to Earth, so can we anticipate a renewal an generation through the Divine Inspiration for a New Dream. CAUAC represents the Element of Water and is observed as a day of Baptism. This is a time conducive to ask for clairvoyance, unity of the people, and mental clarity.
To all my relations, may we reset our Altars in preparation of the Blessing we would hope to receive. May we commit ourselves to an effort of moving forward the way that CIMI taught us to do. May we remember the Creator’s promise of Divine Justice, and hold gratitude for the Blessings of Right Now. May we be vigilant for a gift of new inspiration that will lead us to still higher ground. May we find Common Ground in Spirit that is greater than the man-made constructs and invisible lines that divide us. May we Acknowledge a Divine Creator that knows everything we need to be Happy and Live Life in a Good Way. May we continue to look for the Signs and Wonders around us of the Unbridled Freedom and Possibility through our Connection to the Divine Power of the Creator.

TRECENA OF STORM/CAUAC – REVIVAL OF SPIRIT
Visit the 13-Day Trecena Guide for a daily energy forecast with insight on the Uinal and Portal Days of the Storm/CAUAC trecena.
1 Storm/CAUAC (Cherokee, Redbird/TOTSU’HWA)
Galactic Tone 1: Unity. One is the beginning of all things, the first, the whole and the all in one. One’s are assertive and self-guided and give a good push to whatever project they are associated with. One persons work best when meeting a challenge. Do not expect One-persons to be attentive to details or to put the finishing touches on things.
Storm/Cauac: Day of the blessing of rain, giver of all life and lightening, a gift of nitrogen to Mother Earth and ozone to Father Sky. Cauac is also associated with the moon and the cycles of the moon, which are the meter of the feminine aspect of creation. The essence of Storm is the feeling of unity, security and warmth experienced in the home while the tempest of trouble rages in the world outside. Perpetually youthful, Storms exist to experience the ecstasy of freedom. They have the great capacity to both learn and teach. Their constant quest for novel experiences often leads to difficult tests and storms of emotion. Looking at these difficulties for the lessons they indeed are, will enrich our lives rather than destroy. Cauac individuals teach much through their electricity of being. Lightning energizes earth, this same energy energizes humans. Divine connections can be accessed.
Cherokee, Redbird/TOTSU’HWA: Redbird’s symbol is Alcyone of the Pleiades Star in constellation Taurus. Alcyone is the Central Sun of the Universe, heart of heaven. Lightning is the visible evidence of the presence of Redbird Spirit in the Sky, daughter of the Sun Spirit, sign of Fire, Sun’s alter ego on Earth. Redbird is a feminine sign; the hand that rocks the cradle. The symbol of nurturing, the lightning nurtures and energizes, with energy for zest, curiosity, imagination, and ideas. Lightning adds spiritual force to the human by way of “lightning of the blood” of a healer, directly body to body vibration. The key to spiritual communication and access to the wisdom of the Ancestors lies in the ability to bestir the blood to speak. Sacred stones such as flint, obsidian, crystal are created by lightning striking the ground.
