MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
4 Eagle/MEN will help us establish a new sense of Stability. Eagle is the Intermediary between Heaven and Earth that allows us to soar in Spirit with our feet on the ground.
The Stability of Tone 4 relates to a sense of orientation, and having a clear sense of direction. These magnify the inherent talents of the Eagle, who can see its next meal from over a mile away. This is a day when we could clearly see what we want and know what we’d do to go after it.
Those born as Eagles are likely to be successful in business because of their intuitive nature and long-range vision. Eagle raises us up to the heavenly realm to see our own success in the future. Knowing what’s possible, Eagle encourages us to reach for our Highest Aspirations.
The Cherokee relate to Eagle as a Warrior Spirit who serves to protect the people. In this Intermediary Role, Eagle brings the energy for High Hopes and Anticipations, Dreams and Visions.
Eagle/MEN draws our awareness to the Role of the Intermediary, one who supports the cause of another. We could think of how the Red Cross symbolizes this role in standing ready to bring help and comfort when there’s a disaster. This is a role that Eagle/MEN would call us to take the position of all standing in the same corner.
Eagle can help us achieve material abundance and good fortune by taking a Higher Point of View. Eagle brings Hope, Trust and Strength of Spirit. Eagle’s success depends on Compassionate Service to others, reminding us that our Intention must serve the Greatest Good of the Whole.
Eagle’s Strength lies in a confidence in its own abilities, and in having no need to compare itself to another. Eagle encourages us to reach farther than we think we can go, in Faith that if we just focus on the thing we want, we’ll arrive there on the Wings of Spirit.
Eagle holds the freedom to soar, and also to fly away. We are encouraged not to run away when we see a challenge, but simply wait before we move to set in our mind the vision of the thing we are reaching for in our future. Eagle guides us to stability by taking the time to use our long-range vision. We can be the Intermediary in our own life, by objectively calculating the possibilities.
To all my relations, may we imagine our accomplishment of our Highest Aspiration. May we imagine all the good it will do for our own Happiness. May we consider that our own success would help us pave the way for someone else. May we have patience with our selves and do away with comparisons between ourselves and another. We were born with our own special way that may be the next important discovery or invention. When we seek to accomplish what we really love to do, we engage our own genius.
in lak’ech, I am another you

4 Eagle/MEN (Cherokee, Eagle/UWO’HATLI)
Galactic Tone 4: Stability; the cube is most stable of all forms and establishes volume by definition of height, length, depth and breadth; 4 directions establish orientation. The energy of 4 sets the parameters, which establish the freedoms and barriers needed to create a game, work, or relationship.
Eagle/MEN: Intermediary between Heaven and Earth. Due to the Eagles superior point of view and keen intelligence, they achieve material abundance and good fortune. A messenger gifted with patience and a deep sense of value, Eagle brings hope and trust on the wings of Spirit. Eagle persons are very detail oriented and technically inclined. Compassionate service to others sustains prosperity for Eagle personas as the flapping of wings would sustain their bird brothers. If Eagle becomes viciously competitive or possessive, greed and jealousy cause a fall from the heights. Eagles, being blessed with freedom of movement, should be aware of escapism. Eagles may be tempted to just fly away from troubles by using indulgences.
Cherokee, Eagle/UWO’HATLI: Symbol is Mars the Spirit Warrior. He is a minion of Grandfather Moon. Eagles were the warrior society, the braves the protectors of the nation.Women were included. There was no discrimination which is reflected in the language: third person singular is divided into animate, human and animate, not human instead of he and she. The energy of high hopes and anticipations, dreams and visions, cosmic consciousness and commitment. On earth a provider of excellence, leader, husbandry, care-taking of others, financial security and inheritance. Totem-Eagle. Powerful energy for success in worldly affairs, due to far seeing vision. Ability to create masses of money and abundance through an intellectual type of profession. Eagle asks for what he desires and manifests it. Professor, lawyer, teacher, leader.
