MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
Tone 4 brings an energy of Stability. Tone 4 establishes direction and orientation – the parameters or “rules of the game.”
Road/EB is the Day Sign of Human and the Road to our Destiny. Our Human Destiny is our journey through the Natural World. Our Divine Destiny is a Human Sacrifice we make by Choice to follow the direction of the Creator.
Human was offered two roads, two ways of living, along with the Free Will to choose our own way. When we choose to live by the rules of the world, we are limited to our Earthly Powers. When we choose the road of Divinity, the Creator extends the Power of Spirit. Our Spiritual Gifts lead the Journey to our Divine Destiny. The Way will be laid out before us.
Human is also referred to as the “bearer of time.” We must bear the time it takes to to Acknowledge our Divine Guidance, to believe that something Unseen will lead the way. Our way of becoming Conscious of it is by taking “Leaps of Faith.” We have to try it before we’ll buy it.
Road/EB shows the way to draw the Truth of Spirit from the path of our experience. We’re led by MULUC on a Divine Mission. Through the choice of our Intention, we entered a Divine Covenant to take on the challenge. We’ve signed up as a Spiritual Volunteer. We show up in the center of logistics with many directions we could go. Road/EB guides us through our Relationships to know which direction to start. Road/EB will show us a way to measure our progress, so the Journey will bear witness of our Guiding Light.
The Road/EB glyph illustrates the “road to destiny” on the head of the Human. Our destiny will depend on the choices we make. The Creator made Divinity our Easiest our way because it only requires One Choice. We can take a “Leap of Faith” to proceed without knowing the answers, when we allow Spirit to lead the way. The first thing we need to know is which way to go. On the Creator’s road, the answers will always be right in front of us.
In the material world Human finds its way by the coordinates of the 4 directions. We know our direction by the Sun in the sky. We can figure out which way we’re going in the daylight, though we can lose our way in the darkness.
The directions of Spirit are discernible in both darkness and light. In Spirit “directions” are defined by their influence. We can discern the “direction” of any challenge or question, is held in the direction right in front of us. (The Day Sign that resides directly across from yours is the Day Sign that provides the greatest support to your Divine Meaning and Purpose.)
How to use the directions of Spirit:
South: South is the direction of our relationship with the world and with each other. When our challenge is related to our relationships, North is the direction in front of us. Our solution can be found in an application of Wisdom – we can seek wise counsel, and draw from the wisdom of our own experience. What does our personal experience tell us to do? What could we learn from someone else who shared the same experience?
West: West is the direction of our “Unknown.” We are “standing in the West” whenever we try something new. We can recognize it by the ‘fear” of not knowing for sure where it will lead us. The answer is across from us in the East, the direction of our Inspiration. We don’t have to fear when we look there and see that our Intention was Divinely Inspired. We can take the “Leap of Faith” when we remember our Intention was surrendered to God’s Hand.
North: North is the direction of the collective Wisdom of the Masters, and the Wisdom of our own Experience. When we hold a gift of Wisdom and seek the direction of its Meaning and Purpose, right across from us in the South, we’re advised to see how it can be shared with the Whole so we can exist in “Right Relationship.”
East: From the direction of Divine Inspiration, if we don’t know where to go next, the direction of the West will call us to make a Leap into the Unknown. To go on Faith in the Divinity of our Inspiration, and see what we can learn from a new experience. We’re called to believe we’ll be guided.
How to measure our Spiritual Progress:
On either side of the “road of destiny” on the glyph, the circles represent the milestones that were set along the way. We can measure our progress by setting milestones for our beginnings, major accomplishments, and turning points. Later on we can look back to remember how far we’ve come.
Today, Road/EB asks us to mark an important milestone for a new climb of Spiritual Growth. We can think about where we are right now and the conditions we see in each direction. When we look back later, the progress will be clear to see. The milestones will make possible the transformation of Faith to Belief.
The Cherokee Rattlesnake Tooth was a tool of Spiritual Medicine. The shaman used it in Sacred Ceremony to pierce the skin. It would leave the mark of a Spiritual Healing as a way to Remember. Rattlesnake “energy” is described as an ethereal spectrum of color like a rainbow. Like the rainbow bore evidence of the Divinity Above, the mark would bear evidence of a promise made between Heaven and Earth.
An application of Consciousness that inspires this journal is to look within myself to the issues at the forefront of my own thoughts. It was the synchronicity of the calendar with my own experience that led me to follow the calendar. Instead of looking to the calendar to understand myself, I looked at myself to understand the calendar. Looking at myself, I discern the aspects of the day that are most relevant. I’ve never failed to find an answer that was meaningful to me. You can find your own discernment of the calendar by taking the same approach. What’s the major topic on your mind?
It wasn’t until the Wisdom/CIB trecena of “Higher Learning” was over that I realized I’d been learning stuff all over the place. I was involved in training programs at work. I saw CIB in the information gathering of an “ongoing investigation.” The synchronicity bears truth of Wisdom that created a calendar beyond our understanding… “supernatural.”
To all my relations, may we see how we’ve already been raised up in Spirit to discern the direction of Divine Guidance. May we have Faith that the Choice we made positions us to become aware of it. May we explore a new theory of Truth, that the easiest answers will be right in front of us. May we try it out in a new climb of Spiritual Growth. May we mark this day as a milestone, taking note of the issues we face so we’ll remember what the Hand of God was able to do.

4 Road/EB (Cherokee, Rattlesnake Tooth)
Galactic Tone 4: Stability; the cube is most stable of all forms and establishes volume by definition of height, length, depth and breadth; 4 directions establish orientation. The energy of 4 sets the parameters, which establish the freedoms and barriers needed to create a game, work, or relationship.
Road/EB: The bearer of time and conductor of destiny; also known as Human; these persons open the road and guide to the future groups, communities and individuals alike. Likable, obedient, dedicated hard workers and organizers, Road persons are fortunate in business and travel. Many become caretakers of the poor, sick, or old people, where they may make personal sacrifices. Road is sometimes referred to as the sign of grass, which is the most bountiful of all life forms, but is also the most humble. Road persons are affectionate and emphatic; they are easily hurt but slow to anger. Holding in of negative emotions and unexpressed resentment can lead to illness, a poisoned opinion of others and a false bravado for this sun sign.
Cherokee, Rattlesnake Tooth/KANU’GA: Symbol is Rainbow, a delicate display of electromagnetic rays of the SUN. The Natal day sign of Medicine, the Shaman, the Priest, the Healer, and the Sorcererkh; Guardian of the Way, Keeper of the Keys of the secret Kingdom.
