MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S BLOG
Tone 3 brings the Intention of Movement. An idea moves from Spirit into the physical world. When we take action on an Intention we draw an Inspiration of Spirit into the material world. A movement that moved microscopic molecules brings life to a vibration that follows its own course. Movement gives life to a Spiritual Inspiration.
The MULUC trecena holds an Intention of empowering ourselves in Spirit, through the Human Sacrifice of forgiveness. Through our Offering, we are Atoned with the Creator for a Healing of our Emotions.
Monkey/CHUEN demonstrates a way of movement that’s different from our emotional reactions. Monkey lives for “the experience.”
Monkey/CHUEN embodies the Power of a Creator. CHUEN is said to be the Master of all Art. CHUEN, like the Creator, resides in a position of Forgiveness. This Monkey never finishes anything, but leaves a trail to follow.
Monkey’s curiosity is void of Judgement. Monkey tries new things just to see what will happen. CHUEN reflects the Creators perspective on our journey through life. We are always forgiven by a Creator who sees our whole life as an exploration. Monkey can help us resolve the suffering of our past, so we move into a new future.
2-DAY PORTAL DAY: Element of Ether – This is the second day of a 2-day Portal shared by the Day Signs of Unconditional Love and Creation, Dog/OC and Monkey/CHUEN. On Portal days we can see beyond the veil and our Sixth Senses are magnified. A portal on 3 Monkey/CHUEN will magnify a new perception, as Monkey connects our Intellect and Imagination. We can see things from the “other side.”
Monkey/CHUEN is known by the Cherokee as the Raccoon, the friendly trickster that coaxes a smile. Guided by Raccoon, we can see the Humor of our Human ways… like how we heap our suffering into a stinking pile of heavy garbage, then drag it wherever we go.
The Monkey approaches life as an exploration, except it’s a journey without any baggage. CHUEN is fascinated by all it can learn from an experience. Monkey is the “weaver of time,” the Day Sign who weaves the threads of our experiences into the tapestry of our lives. Monkey helps us see the Beauty of the Whole Experience.
As Human’s we can get stuck looking at a single thread. We might remember a harmful experience, resenting the devastation it caused. We play that one thread over and again without seeing what it’s connected to. (The “friendly trickster” would observe, “Gee, it sure takes a lot of pain before Human stops doing stuff that hurts.”)
Forgiveness helps us see it more clearly. Through Forgiveness we can reconnect the threads. Forgiveness is the Key for turning a painful experience into a Greater Happiness.
CHUEN is the Master of Time. The glyph illustrates “time rolled up” on the monkey’s head. Human is the only one of the Master’s Creations that holds the “Spiritual Gift” of time travel. It’s made possible through the facilities of our Intellect and Imagination. We can travel through our imagination to any place and time. Once we’re there, we can make a new discernment. We can effectively change our past and our future.
I found Forgiveness by looking through the threads of my past, the stories I told myself about my childhood. I recalled it as a very difficult time of betrayals, spiritual and emotional abuse, and physical abuse that was “normalized” in the 1950’s as “corporal punishment.” They were so magnified from staring at them, they became all I could see. I felt damaged beyond repair. The baggage became heavier, the longer I hauled it along. I became more sure my parents couldn’t love me, nor would ever see me as worthy. (“Gee, that’s HEAVY.”) I couldn’t help it. I was still unconscious of it.
CHUEN is building on our New Higher Consciousness. We’re guided to make a journey through time. Reliving my time, I saw Mom teaching me to play the piano, and cooking awesome meals and birthday cakes. As toddlers we were allowed the first handful on our birthday. My Dad was “no monkey business,” but a master at do-it-yourself, as mother was equal as a seamstress. I was taught how to use a saw and a sewing machine (and how to shoot a gun). I never lacked for a good meal, a warm bed, and my own room. I was Blessed with parents in love with each other. They carried us along to the Drive-in Movies on summer nights. My Mom taught values and my Dad taught responsibility. When I was older, Dad made repairs on my car. On trips home I never left without Dad pressing a $20 dollar bill in my hand. Yes, I still believe they made some bad mistakes, but I could no longer doubt their love and good Intention. The Forgiveness I found in the past, was my own when I saw how much I had held against them, and how little I’d acknowledged the blessings. The past was changed and I imagined a brighter future.
I thought this relationship could never be repaired. I gave up on ever “being seen as worthy.” I know, it was ME seeing THEM as unworthy. We can avoid this kind of foolishness with Higher Consciousness.
I’m blessed that my parents are still alive at 90 and 91. Age is a wonderful thing – to have the time for Wisdom. I was given the time needed for forgiveness, and time to create a new relationship. My Dad (91) takes care of my Mom (90), who, over the last two years has lost nearly all of her short-term memory. She remembers people, but she can’t remember what was just said. Dad says, “She’s good for a minute.” He has trouble getting around because of a past broken hip on top of COPD, and here he is at 91, cooking the meals, making sure she takes her medicine throughout the day, and calming her frustration with herself. I’d have never guessed we’d become friends. To “pay back” I’ve sent letters with photos that she can read like new several times. I send care packages that might serve as a distraction on a hard afternoon. I feel loved and seen like never before.
By looking at the connecting threads, I see the Beauty of the transformation. The Blessings of forgiveness have been multiplied to abundance. I expect everyone must reconcile the “harm” done by their parents. We can Heal it by Forgiveness when it’s our turn.
We might see the Humor in the garbage bags. We weren’t broken as much by the experience, as we were from the weight of the baggage we carried around.
Today is an important day to Do Something. Tone 3 is the best day for giving Life to a Creation. We may be chomping at the bit to get started, though we must still take things slowly as we receive the insight to discern our direction.
Monkey/CHUEN is a Day Sign of the West. In Native American tradition, the West was the place of the “Heyoka,” a Spirit of thunder and lightning. A Heyoka receives a Vision of terror like a thunderstorm, for the happiness it will create when the storm is over. That sounds like Raccoon.
AN OLD JOKE: “A man is walking in the park and sees a fellow in the distance slapping his own face. He moves in for a closer inspection. What he sees going on is the man slapping his face, and between each round heaves a loud sigh of relief. He approaches the fellow, “What is this that you’re doing?” Doesn’t that hurt?” The fellow replies, “YES! It’s very painful. But, it feels so good when I stop!”
Today we are meant to give birth to a new Vibration, to draw and Intention of Spirit into the material world. This is the moment we set the Tone and Frequency. We can kneel in the Humility of our Human Nature and speak our Intention to the Creator. Through an Intention to Forgive, we birth the Frequency of the “Wounded Healer,” the “Christ Spirit” in our Self.
To all my relations, may we move forward on an expedition of Forgiveness. May we hold a sense of humor when we find out we’re “the guilty.” May we use our Intellect and Imagination to conceive the Truth that we have created our whole reality. May we give thanks, that the Creator gives Human the Powers to go back and change it. As others offend us, may we turn our cheek as a Divine Offering to “bear the time” so others have the equal chance to discover their own unfolding Beauty.

3 Monkey/CHUEN (Cherokee, Raccoon/KVH’LI)
Galactic Tone 3: Action. Three is basic movement and communication, which begins as a vibration. Three energy is very eloquent in all types of self-expression. Communication is how Three establishes a point of agreement between any point “A” and any point “B”. Three persons are rhythmic to the core and are often restless, as motion is their nature. By working closely with the energy of Three, any person becomes more able to predict motions of all kinds.
Monkey/CHUEN: Monkey is known to the Maya as the Weaver or Weaver of Time. Monkey takes ideas as threads of vines and weaves them into the fabric of our reality. New patterns or inventions are also woven into our lives by Monkey. Amiable, intelligent, generous and a jack of all trades, Monkey’s innocent curiosity leads to artistic expression and constructive solutions. Many Monkeys become highly respected merchants or speakers. They love performing practical jokes and crave attention, so much so that they may over-act or play the fool to get the spotlight. Monkeys have a short attention span and find it difficult to stay with anything long enough to master it.
Cherokee, Raccoon/KVH’LI: Racoon’s star symbol is Algol, a star in Perseus. Restless energy yearning for long-lost love. Algol was named DEMON STAR or MISCHIEVOUS ONE by the Ancients because it winks and fades at times. Raccoons are full of friendly mischief, eager to swap kisses for candy. Magnetic leaders, full of humor and gaiety. Favorite food is corn, the mainstay of the Cherokee. Very artistic while being the “masked bandit” who steals your heart. Totem Monkey: The energy of humor, the artisan and craftsmen of the Universal energy. Helps us to lighten up in all situations, was the glyph of the 4th world creation in conjunction with OC so that we would have humor in all of our endeavors. The humor, when added to a serious situation will allow you to have a less destructive pattern of resolution. This is the “Cosmic joke” energy to help us transcend the duality. A life path of comedian, actor, artist, artisan writer, satirist, any path is enhanced with this humor in conjunction with the creative energies.
