5 Reed / BEN – A Gift of Forgiveness: Day 5 of 13

THE TRECENA OF OFFERING/MULUC

5 Reed / BEN

Greetings Kin,

Yesterday, 4 Road/EB offered us Stability by giving us a way to find direction and prove to ourselves that we are making Spiritual progress. The milestones noted in my own journal offer the evidence on the days when I feel I’m stuck in an old place. Keeping notes on a daily basis has been my investment of greatest return to my own consciousness.

Tone 5 shows us where to find our Power. I woke this morning to thoughts of the powerlessness that can present itself at the beginning of a work week… the longing to do more than what is in front of me. I know the directions, but what do I do when I can’t find the strength to turn there?

In the calendar’s order of our transformation, the MULUC trecena’s context of our effort lies in Offering a sacrifice. A sacrifice suggests that we have to give something up or do something contrary to our Human Nature.

Reed/BEN draws our attention to the direction of our Power, illustrating the altar with channels of Light from Above. The directions around us are influenced by our Human experience. The One True Light always shines from Above with the One Answer that is Central to the Whole. Reed is a Day Sign of the East, the place the Sun rises for Life, Inspiration, and Happiness.

Reed/BEN helps us draw down the Light of the Creator, reminding us of an Altar where the Creator is always waiting. Below the altar are the prayer mats that demonstrate our way of making the connection to Divine Power. We grasp it down on our knees in Humility. We “look up” to find a Power greater than our Self.

I’m reminding myself this morning that we are in the Growth Phase of this trecena. Choosing the road of the “Christ Spirit,” is the most difficult journey for a Human to make, though the easy path for Spirit. I think of the Passion of Christ, all that was endured in humility without complaint. There is no way a Human could do that without a Divine Connection. It goes against our Human Nature. We might expect the beginning of a climb to be the hardest part of the journey. To accomplish growth, we have to make the Choice of our own Free Will to reach higher and climb harder than we did before. We are in a process of building new Inner Strength. It’s not so far to go.

Our Human Nature is bent on our own survival. Our “unconscious” Human Mission is saving our Self. Consciousness helps us to transcend the experience of the below. Instead of living to survive, our Spiritual Nature seeks to live for a Higher Meaning and Purpose.

We can find the Power to carry out our Mission when we look up. We see how the mundane burdens of every day life are One in our Mission. We can see through the Creator’s eyes that our most important work is placed right in front of us. The burden of survival is lifted when we draw from above.

Monkey/CHUEN still has me thinking about time… the time I have to spend doing things I don’t care to do. Things I have to “make myself do” can bring on the feeling of powerlessness. It’s funny how you can overcome what you might think as your greatest challenge, then something else moves in to take its place. Ha. Ha. (There is  something from that former experience still left for me to learn.)

From a Higher Perspective of where we are in our harvest cycle of becoming – this place where we are, creating the Fruit, is the birth canal of a New Spirit. Our Spirit is being reborn and we are feeling the contractions of the Human world we live in. We are wanting to be reborn into a new experience of living… a world where we can be free of limitation to stretch and grow. We can sacrifice a little time for the Blessing that is on the way.

We can find the Power down on our knees. Even Christ was brought to His knees in the Garden of Gethsemane.  He looked up when he faced the greatest challenge of his live. Looking up, that example shows us the way.

Reed/BEN, the altar, is the place where we make a sacrifice as our Offering. When I think of the Divine Sacrifice that Christ made to feel the Whole of Human Suffering, the sacrifices of the week look easy. It’s a small sacrifice, but still worthy to be gathered up by the Creator to empower a state of Atonement.

To all my relations, may we see that the daily burdens we carry are only a small sacrifice. May we look up to see that what seems small to us, is seen as Divine through the eyes of the Creator. The Creator doesn’t waste Human’s time on trivial matters. What we are given is important in a Higher Meaning and Purpose. We can take a simple thing, like washing the dishes, and see it as part of the Divine Effort. We can look up from the kitchen sink and know that even this small effort is seen by the Creator. May we live the rest of the week as if every responsibility we fulfill is an Offering to the Creator, so we can see that it’s Divine. May we remember the hardest work has already been done by the Ascended Masters who came before. May we give thanks that we were able to start out with their Higher Wisdom. May we acknowledge that our way is easier than theirs was. They left us a road marked with milestones we could follow. May we give thanks that there is always a good direction to turn, and when we feel powerless to do even that, we can always look up. When we look up in humility, the Light of the Creator will always shine below.

A NEW COMMITMENT TO GRATITUDE:

I’m sharing a the “21-Days of Gratitude” as a perpetual Personal Ceremony through the next journey to 8 Monkey/CHUEN Maya New Year.  The “21 days” begin and end on Jaguar/IX.

21-Days of Gratitude: Day 20

I’m grateful that there is a direction to turn for Power. I’m grateful that we are always seen at the altar above, when we kneel below. I still hear the trickster Raccoon (Monkey/CHUEN) over my shoulder saying, “Give thanks  that your Divine Work is something you can do sitting down.”

5 Reed/BEN (Cherokee, Reed/I’hya)

Galactic Tone 5: Empowerment. At the center of the cube we find Five. Five is an intelligent, organizing force which manages communications and materials, knowledge and application. Fives are natural networkers who gather what is needed. These persons can probe directly to the core of any situation making them excellent investigators.

Reed/BEN: Reed persons are the spiritual essence, protectors and guiding light for family and home. They are competent speakers who will take up a cause. Very tough and analytical, Reeds endeaver to bring peace, harmony, and order to all of their relations. Reeds are blessed with great skill at negotiations and consoling which are very often put to the test. Although Reeds need a log of appreciation, many have a marriage or business problems because of inflexible views and high expectations, which erode affinity. The lesson of Reed is to be like a garden hose, not a steel pipe.

Cherokee, Reed I’hya: Symbol-Reed is the Earth, reflection of the Star Chaga of Pollux. Reed made up the Magician Twins who led the journey to bring back to life the daughter of the Sun. The Casket is Gemini.  Energy for Intellectual minds, creation, re-creation, new directions, breaking the ties that bind.  A trailblazer and leader. From the East, direction of success and happiness, no matter what route is taken, always ending up in the Light.

[Text in italics was the primary source of inspiration for my journal. These are the sources that started my journey and they are the reference for interpretation each day. By providing the original text, I hope to offer a way to see what inspired my thoughts and by including all the aspects – allow for something more to inspire you. Mayan descriptions are those written by Ian Lungold. Cherokee descriptions came from multiple sources. Links to sources and other resources of study are offered on the Daykeeper Resources Page.
