2 Eagle / MEN – Walking as a Shape-Shifter: Day 2 of 13

MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

2 Eagle / MEN

Greetings Kin,

Tone 2 reflects Duality. On Tone 1 we started in Unity with the Creator. Starting over again on a brand new walk through the Tzolk’in, we are experiencing the process of our own Awakening to Life, as if it were the very first time.

We Ascended with a new perspective, a change of mind about the way we see the world and our Self. We were given a whole new realm of experience that was revealed through a full harvest cycle of Spiritual Growth. We could walk the very same roads, but see it in an entirely new way.

Our new Consciousness means we’ve Seen something that can never be Unseen again. By Human reasoning we see that no day is like any other. Every one offers a brand new experience, even when we do the same thing. The Elders say that each day is a Sacred Event to be Created as a “Living Prayer.”

Tone 2 is the second step of creation. Human is given a Choice to live in a new way. We are given a Second Chance to start over again, making choices based on the New Wisdom of our Experience.

Eagle/MEN is the Intermediary that lifts us up for a Heavenly View. Human’s Spiritual Development is dependent on seeing things for our Self. Without the Discernment of personal experience, the Truths and Inspirations shared by others are only theories. No matter how sound the proof may be, Human doesn’t Believe until it experiences its own Truth.

In our walk with the Jaguar, Eagle/MEN is positioned to help us make a Choice, offering it’s gift to See things from a Higher Perspective. The Eagle’s success is based on it’s ability to see opportunity as it exists in the future. The Eagle can see it’s next meal from over a mile away. Eagle encourages our Highest Hopes and Aspirations.

Today we wake up to the Reality of being Human. The IMIX trecena opened our eyes of Spirit. Jaguar opens our Spiritual Eyes in a new dimension. Our Divine Spirit has shape-shifted to the Consciousness of a Human on Earth.

We face a challenge of Identity. We first saw ourselves as Whole with the One. Our Human eyes present the illusion of separation. We can clearly see we are a “self-contained thing.” We can no longer See the Ether of Consciousness as our Identity. We have to Remember where we came from, who we Really are, and How we made the passage between these two dimensions of reality.

The Jaguar offers the Eagle to help us find our Own Way. As a Day Sign of Spirit, the Jaguar remembers our Unlimited Possibility to Choose for our Self.

This is such a beautiful and peaceful morning on Mother Earth. In the early darkness, against a backdrop of falling rain, I heard the “morning chorus” begin as the birds were waking up in the world. Their first message is the Song of “Here I Am.”

Eagle/MEN reflects the Element of Water, the substance that holds the Ether of Spirit. Humans are made of Earth and her Elements. Our Element of Water is returned to Earth. Water amplifies the Vibration of Sound, connecting Spirit across long distances. Water falling from the sky splits light apart into a spectrum of beautiful colors. Water is a Miracle. Crystal clear, we see it by the vessel that holds it. When we hear the rain, we can imagine it as the Song of our Ancestors.

Eagle/MEN is the Intermediary that offers a heavenly view of Human’s path of Spirit on Earth. Eagle shows us that there are two ways to see things, from Above and Below. Spirit is invisible Below. Grounded in the details of everyday life, Human lacks a perspective on the Whole. We can’t see the destination. In short, Human’s dilemma is a Lack of Vision. How will we know where we’re going, if we can’t see it? We can only imagine it, and clear the path one stone at a time.

From our Human perspective on the ground we’re more comfortable making choices for things we already see. We prefer instant gratification over reaching for something that could be beyond our reach. On the Wings of Eagle, we can see the direct flight from Point A to Point B. There are no stones in Eagle’s Way. We can fly Above them.

I woke to dreams of childhood, remembering the way my Mom used to wake me up. She is a gentle soul. But, it was so annoying. She would lightly tap 5 times by the door, followed by a lilting, “Wake uuuu-uuup.” (Repeated exactly the same, as many times as it took.)

This whole business of Consciousness is about waking up to the world. We could “sleep our whole life away,” as my Mom used to say. We could exist in a world of such beauty, only noticing the few moments that catch our attention. We could live a lifetime never Seeing how we are Part of it ALL.

Eagle can give us the Vision to see, that though Spirit is invisible, it still exists here. We will see Consciousness all around us if we Choose to Wake Up. We Know our pets are Conscious of us. We have a line of communication beyond words. So is there a shared Consciousness with every living thing.

The Intention we are being Inspired to make is an effort of finding our Own Way to live on Earth using the Eyes of our Spirit’s Consciousness. Human must bear the time for transformation. Eagle raises us up to a Higher Perspective that can see in all directions.

Eagle can make the Choice of our Intention easy. As we consider one thing or another… a Choice to Wake Up, or a Choice to go back to Sleep, through Eagle’s Eyes we can see the Beauty of the Destination, and the Beauty we could miss along the way.

Eagle fuels our Passion for a Choice of Consciousness by showing us all the possibilities we were sure were beyond our grasp. Eagle shows us a future that’s worth living for. Eagle sees what it wants in the future. It doesn’t reason or calculate the way to get there. It locks its eyes on the prize and navigates by intuition. It expects to arrive at a future Time and Place.

Today we are defining an Intention of Consciousness for an effort of Spiritual Growth we will apply over the next 4 days. Tone 3 will begin our Movement from Point A to Point B. We end our climb on Tone 7 at the top of the pyramid, where Sun/AHAU will receive us after the first Human journey of our Spirit.

If we break it all down to 4 days, we’ll see we are capable of more than we’d hope for if we had to carry on forever. What have we got to lose in choosing the Highest Hope we could reach for?

One of the first Miracles on my calendar path was an Intention of my Dreams. I attributed much of my depression to the daily occurrence of a waking nightmare. Past choices left me in debt to the IRS. (If you live outside the USA, the Internal Revenue Service, is the hand of the government that can serve itself to the money in your bank account, if you step over the line of your payment due date.) I was just beginning a long term of repayment when I moved back to the Pacific Northwest, opting for the security of traditional employment with insurance. Yet, every day began from the nightmare of fear.

Dispelling these nightmares was an Intention born of a Miracle of Consciousness, a Divine Inspiration. By the time I thought of it, it had been going on for a few years. It was never made an Intention because I subconsciously assumed it was impossible. After all, who can control what they are thinking when they wake up? It may seem like a small thing, though it was among my Highest Hopes and Aspirations. Through an Intention, the waking nightmares went away and have never come back. I will always remember it as the Proof of Miracles. Holding Faith in an Intention, my Divine Justice was Faith turned into Belief. This One Light will always shine at my Altar.

I share this story, because your Highest Hope could be a small part of your everyday life that presents a challenge. Something you over-looked, because you assumed it was impossible. Reaching through Conscious Intention to Grasp it, is worth the effort of 4 days. The worst that can happen is that we learn something. To find your Highest Aspiration, look deeply into your everyday experience. Changing One Thing that robs from the Joy of Living is a Beginning that can change your whole life.

I sign “in lak’ech,” because I Know the same Miracles that have happened for me will happen for you. Holding the Destiny Kin of 9 Eagle/MEN, my life mission is to Believe on your Behalf – to see the future for you, until you can see it for yourself. Know that I Believe in the Miracles in your future.

To all my relations, may we wake up to the Consciousness of Beauty all around us, Beauty that would inspire our Highest Hopes. May we choose a new Way to Create our own Beauty. Every Human was born an Artist. It’s within our Human Nature to enjoy the process of Creation. As we begin a walk between two worlds, may we create something of Beauty in Both Worlds. The study of Art falls under the curriculum called “Humanities.” Art isn’t limited to any medium, but includes every way that Human Expresses itself. The most menial tasks, can be transformed as a “work of art.” May we Choose a way to “stay awake” to all the experiences that are offered through a Higher Perspective of Spirit. Surviving as Human is a high-maintenance operation. May we recognize the needs of our Spiritual Being. Through Intention we can move to a Higher Realm of Perception, to see from Above what we are unable to see from Below. May we Know that every living thing is Conscious of Human’s Power to Create.  May we prepare to fly like an Eagle, taking off without worrying how we will get there – holding Faith we can get there because our Spirit can See the Destination.

in lak’ech, i am another you

2 Eagle/MEN (Cherokee, Eagle/UWO’HATLI)

Galactic Tone 2: Mysterious as the question ‘to be or not to be?” Two is the recognition of the separation of self from all else and the desire to be rejoined. Walking a balance while making choices of all kinds, light/dark, male/female, good/bad, Yin/Yang, is the energy of this number. Experiencing the differences between one and another is the use and purpose of this number.

Eagle/MEN: Intermediary between Heaven and Earth. Due to the Eagles superior point of view and keen intelligence, they achieve material abundance and good fortune. A messenger gifted with patience and a deep sense of value, Eagle brings hope and trust on the wings of Spirit. Eagle persons are very detail oriented and technically inclined. Compassionate service to others sustains prosperity for Eagle personas as the flapping of wings would sustain their bird brothers. If Eagle becomes viciously competitive or possessive, greed and jealousy cause a fall from the heights. Eagles, being blessed with freedom of movement, should be aware of escapism. Eagles may be tempted to just fly away from troubles by using indulgences.

Cherokee, Eagle/UWO’HATLI: Eagle’s symbol is Mars the Spirit Warrior. He is a minion of Grandfather Moon. Eagles were the warrior society, the braves the protectors of the nation. Women were included. There was no discrimination which is reflected in the language: third person singular is divided into animate, human and animate, not human instead of he and she. The energy of high hopes and anticipations, dreams and visions, cosmic consciousness and commitment. On earth, a provider of excellence, leader, husbandry, care-taking of others, financial security and inheritance.

[Text in italics was the primary source of inspiration for my journal. These are the sources that started my journey and they are the reference for interpretation each day. By providing the original text, I hope to offer a way to see what inspired my thoughts and by including all the aspects – allow for something more to inspire you. Mayan descriptions are those written by Ian Lungold. Cherokee descriptions came from multiple sources.
