MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
Tone 7 holds the Intention of Balance between the Above and the Below. “As Above, So Below” is the Great Law of Creation. What is created in one realm of Consciousness is balanced in all others. On Tone 7 our Human progress is measured for an application of Divine Justice.
Our accomplishment won’t be measured by distance we traveled or the money we’ve earned. The Spirit Moves by Intention. Our progress is measured by the Reason. No one who ever tried and failed is a “failure” in the Creator’s eyes.
Earth/CABAN is a Day Sign of Mother Earth, the source of all Human Knowledge. She symbolizes movement that carries on. A wise Mother performs her duty to keep moving us to a new Time and Place. Earth’s ability to carry on is the Balance that maintains our stability and equilibrium. Balance is a Core Issue found at the Center of all things.
Human’s axis for Balance is maintained by Intention. We are Divinely Balanced when we do what we do for the Reason of Love. We are balanced by a Divine Fire within. Earth/CABAN moves us to yield to the Fire that can change us through the Balancing of Spirit.
Earth/CABAN resides in the East, the Place of the Sunrise and a New Beginning. CABAN holds the Element of Fire. So is Mother Earth moved by the Fire she holds within. At her heart, like Human’s heart, liquid iron fulfills its dynamic purpose. The movement of molten iron is dynamically charged with electromagnetic energy. We are attracted by a Power of Love. We are bound to each other. Magnets are only kept apart by resistance or are turned away from one another. We have to Choose to separate our self or Choose to turn away to ever be separated from our attraction to the Creator’s Love.
Master Number 777: This Intention of Balance is tripled and amplifed as 7 Earth/CABAN is the 7th Tone in the 7th uinal, under the Haab year 7 Road/EB. Number 7 relates to our inner wisdom, intuition, contemplation and discernment, inner strength and tenacity, endurance and determination. 7 relates to our empathic and psychic abilities, spiritual enlightenment, development, and spiritual awakening. Number 777 is a sign from the Angels that our effort in Spirit is about to payoff and to keep up the good work. Number 7 relates to good fortune. Number 777 is a sign that we can expect Miracles in our Life, multiplied by a Divine Trinity. [Sacred Scribes]
The Element of Fire holds the power of transmutation, the ability to change the properties and form of other Elements of Earth. Human must balance it’s Fear of Fire to be Transformed.
The Fire of Human burns in the Heart. Where we’ve resisted or turned away from Love, a Fire waits to Change us. Our Fire is the resistance, the friction of an opposition to Love. The Fire will burn away the dross and temper the metal of our Spirit. The Fire in the Human Heart is our Spark, magnetizing our attraction to the Creator’s Love. Our Fire is the yearning to find Love, and the pain that Human bears until we find it.
Though Human has a healthy fear of Fire, at the same time, we’re naturally drawn to its Light. Fire is an ethereal Power, something invisible without substance, yet we can see its all-consuming effect of Energy and Light. Fire was a life-changing Human discovery. From the Wisdom of Fire, Human Conceived our most Powerful Creations. In a world below, tempering is a process that makes things hard. In the perfect Balance of the Reflection Above, the tempering by a Holy Fire offers the Strength of Softening. Through the gift of Fire, Human hearts can be softened by Love. A Holy Fire creates Compassionate Love, the Divine Human Love of Forgiveness and Empathy.
The Mayan Elders share the Wisdom to Sit with the Fire within to be changed by it. Our Human Nature is inclined to Fight or Flight when we feel pain. We run away, water our own feelings down, or escape by turning away from the Fire that burns in our Heart. When we sit with it, look into our own Flames of Love, so will a Divine Fire change us. In the Core Days, we exist in the molten metal at our Heart. We will be formed into something Divine by the Intention we hold in the Heart.
Everything that’s made Divine in the world was accomplished by the Reason. Human is lead by it’s own Mind of Reason. A Human will naturally go along with the Highest Reason when we know what it is. We make Choices for Reasons when we are Conscious. When we are unconscious of our own Reason, we’ll be drawn to go along with the Reasons of those around us. We can easily be drawn by worldly intentions when we have no Reason of our own. Human needs a Reason. If we don’t have our own, our Reason will be survival. We’ll go along to “keep the balance” in the world.
Earth/CABAN gives us a Divine Reason to move. We create a Holy Fire by the friction of resisting our worldly impulses for movement. Our Lives will be transformed when we are Living for a Divine Reason.
The Cherokee Day Sign is the Heron, a nahaul of perpetual migration. So is Human’s journey a perpetual migration to Higher Ground. The Heron is attracted to the Earth’s Times and Places of Abundance.
I spent a few years of my career traveling to and from western Nebraska, the destination of the Sandhill Crane Migration. As many as 500,000 are estimated at each arrival. During their migration in Nebraska for miles you see one field after another filled with Cranes.
Such sights of mass migration were once more common to our Ancestors. Once the movement of Buffalo generated the vibration of a shallow earthquake and a sound like thunder. In school we were told stories of the migration of birds so abundant their path darkened the sky. Only the Ancestors hold the Wisdom of all that has been lost in The Creation. Cranes are among the world’s oldest living birds and one of the planet’s most successful life-forms, having outlasted millions of species.
Throughout all of Asia, the crane has been a symbol of happiness and eternal youth. In Japanese, Chinese, and Korean tradition, cranes stand for good fortune and longevity because of its fabled life span of a thousand years. The Japanese refer to the crane as “the bird of happiness;” the Chinese as “heavenly crane” believing they were symbols of wisdom. The powerful wings of the crane were believed to be able to convey souls up to heaven and to carry people to higher levels of spiritual enlightenment. (Google: legend of cranes)
The Crane’s only “Home” is a Path that leads to Abundance. The beauty of the migration is invisible. There is no display of vibrant colors. The Beauty is in the Intention to move as One, along the Same Divine Path, at the Same Time, to the Same Place… a Time and Place THEY ALL KNOW the Provisions of Love are Multiplied to Abundance. If Cranes can do it, so can the Power be manifested by every Human who chooses to Create it.
The Heron is a symbol of the Phoenix that rises from the ashes of its past. We are drawn to Rise as worldly reasons are burned away. The only thing that ever holds us down is an attachment to the world we CHOOSE – either consciously or unconsciously. We will Rise to our Highest State of Consciousness when we hold the Wisdom to Let Go. We were Created to Rise. It’s our Duty to Choose it.
The Maya, the Aztec, and the Cherokee defined the energy of CABAN as Movement, and the Power of Moving for a Divine Reason. A Reason of Love will always return the Sacred Exchange through the currency of Unconditional Love – Higher Love.
Movement for Divine Reasons is marked at the Core of the Aztec calendar by the Ollin (ah-len). The Ollin is the symbol at the center that marks 20 positions of the Day Signs, 20 Divine Perspectives from which to Divine Sacred Reasons to Move.
The Aztec define the Day of Ollin as “lucky” for the “active principle” and “unlucky” for the “passive principle.” Ollin guides us to make our own Divine Choice of Movement, instead of just going along. Ollin is said by the Aztecs to be the day when we can see what we are becoming.
7 Earth/CABAN offers the Gift of Motivation and the Momentum of Movement to move forward with all our Heart. Our Hearts have been magnetized by our own Intention to manifest a world that matches the Beauty of Mother Earth.
My pilgrimage to Ek’ Balam was among my most meaningful and tangible experiences of Spirit. The Spiritual Experience that waited there was manifested by a Divine Reason for Going. We only have to Intend to follow a path to a Miracle to manifest the “impossible” Blessings of Divine Love.
We were created for a Divine Pilgrimage of Spirit. The Road to our Divine Destiny is the journey. The Whole of our Life’s experience can be manifested as a Miracle of Transformation when we make the Choice to Create our own Dream of Love.
The Core Days help us to Know our Self, and to define the boundaries of the Dream that is our own. We’ll always Know the Truth of where our Dream ends and someone else’s begins. Both sides will be Transformed by the Fire that’s all their own.
To all my relations, may our Offering at the Highest Altar be our Hearts Desire to Hold a Dream that is our own. May we Reflect on everything around us, all that is, and all this is not, a part of our own Dream. May we make Choices for the Love we have defined as foundational to our Happiness. May we Know a Creator without conditions, allows us to Choose what makes us Happy. As long as it holds a speck of our Love, the Creator’s Love will shine through it.
May we prepare to Be Moved Forward by the Creator’s Highest Intention of Harmony and Equity. May we sit with our own Fire to forge the Softness of Compassionate Love.
May we Offer the Blessing to Mother Earth. May we run to her and tell her, “Life is Good, Life is Sacred, Life is worth Living just to See Your Beauty.” May we Embrace our Self, the Living Earth that is our part of Her. She gave us everything we Know. May we triple and amplify Earth’s Blessings by claiming them as the Living Expression of the Creator’s Love… “Holy, Holy, Holy.”

Kansas and Nebraska are the heart of the Plains. They say it’s all flat… but the photo proves that Nebraska does have some hills that are a very popular international travel destination. 🙂
A 21-DAY CEREMONY OF GRATITUDE:
“21-Days of Gratitude” was the ceremony that marked the beginning of this Journal. 21 Days led to 260-days of the Tzolk’in round. In the 7th uinal we exist in the Perfect Balance. Each of the 20 Day Signs in the uinal is in position to reflect their way of Balance. Each one will offer a Divine Perspective from the all-in-one of who we are. I’m beginning 21 days starting today, under Sun/AHAU that will be a guiding light that completes the Whole of Understanding for each perspective of our Truth we can Know about our Self. At the End of 21 days, we’ll arrive at 10 Sun/AHAU, and a manifestation of our own Light of Truth.
Day 18 of 21 Days:
I’m grateful that Reasons of Love always manifest a Miracle of Unconditional Love.

7 Earth/CABAN (Cherokee, Heron/GUWI’SGUWI)
Galactic Tone 7: Reflective. Seven stands as a mirror to divide light and dark and to reflect all that is and is not. Seven is associated with the source of creation and the flow of Divine Will. With a keen sense of ethics, Seven establishes purpose to current and future goals.
Earth/Caban: Earth/Caban: Keeper of the garden of Earth. Profound synchronistic connections to Earth’s natural cycles and energies provide power of creations and memories of ancient wisdom. Earth persons help dispel bad intentions, habits and ideas. This makes them very good counselors and masters of all arts. Studious and intelligent, Earth persons endeavor to bring a flow of natural order to all aspects of life. Being connected to the dynamic forces of nature, Earth persons need much liberty to facilitate their expression of migration or the sending of long distance communications such as the whales, elephants, birds and many other creatures. Sometimes Earth’s delicate sensitivities are upset resulting in quakes of emotion even the display of volcanic temper.
Cherokee, Heron/GUWI’SGUWI: Sign of movement and perpetual motion, Heron is symbolized by Deneb, located in the Northern Cross beside the Milky Way. “The Northern Cross is the Tree of Life, Beside the Milky Way River & Perched atop is Guwi’ sguwi, the Cherokee Heron Spirit Bird, comparable to the Phoenix that rises from the ashes of the past.
