9 Earth / CABAN – A Gift of Forgiveness: Day 9 of 13

MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

9 Earth / CABAN

Greetings Kin,

Like Tone 8, Tone 9 holds the Peak Energy of Transformation. Peak Days are prime for accomplishing whatever we set our minds to. Tone 9 is intent on “completion.” 9 calls for the Patience to look deeper into our own experience. It comes with a warning that there could be suffering if we fail to look beyond their face-value.

It’s not a threat of impending consequences, but a way to lift a burden we already bear, and could carry on into the future. We weren’t created to live a lifetime defined by suffering, struggling to overcome our own Human Nature. We were created Human-by-design for a Divine Purpose.

Earth/CABAN is the Day Sign of Mother Earth, the Forces of Nature, the Source of Wisdom she holds, and her Movement through Time. The K’iche Maya call it Noj, the Day Sign of Knowledge. Mother Earth is the Source of everything Human knows.

Noj is revered as a Sacred Word, meaning all the capabilities of the Human Mind… our Intellect, Imagination, our Memories and our Consciousness. Noj is Human’s means of Movement with a Divine Meaning and Purpose. Noj is the Force that influences us to behave in ways that exceed our Human Nature. Noj is “Sacred” as the word that defines an “invisible” Force held by Human, a Power to be a “visible” Personification of the Creator.

2 Earth / CABAN – Application of Our Spiritual Nature: Day 2 of 13

MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

2 Earth / CABAN

Greetings Kin,

We began in the Unity of Tone 1, connected to the Creator through a Divine Inspiration. On Tone 2 we are separated to make the discernment of our way to carry it out. The Tone 2 of Duality separates us to make a Choice of our Intention. We make a decision “to be or not to be.”

The Wisdom/CIB presents us with the Inspiration to let go of old ways and habits that may stand in the way of living in fullness of our own Spiritual Nature. We have to die to our ways of the world, to be born into the life that was planned for us as a Spiritual Being.

Given a new Inspiration for Creation, our first thoughts may be whether we “can” or “can’t.” We may compare how it would be harder for us than someone else. If the Intention is something we’ve tried before, we might think about our own past failures and wonder what would be different this time. This is a day when we may feel the “weight of change” on our shoulders. We long to be one with the whole, no less or no better, but equal to the task. Today, we’re prepared for our next “Leap of Faith.”

Earth/CABAN is a symbol of Mother Earth, the Power of Nature, the Source of all Human Knowledge, and a symbol of Movement. CABAN reminds us of our Oneness with the Whole of Creation. Earth is the foundation of life we share. Through Earth we can see how every creation was given their own special talent, each gifted to master the world they live in. Human was created equally. The only way we are different is in our perception. We were all created with the same abilities to accomplish the same things.

PORTAL DAY: Element of Ether Portal Days thin the veil to other dimensions. These are days when we are capable to Experience our Spiritual Gifts. On 2 Earth/CABAN we are offered the Sense of Connection to the Old Ones and the guidance they would offer us in the Choice of our Intention.  This is a day to listen to our own Intuition. Our Inner Voice is magnified to make itself Known.

8 Earth / CABAN – Mission of Love: Day 8 of 13

MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

8 Earth / CABAN

Greetings Kin,

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2018!

On the New Year we celebrate Mother Earth’s final turn in an annual cycle of transformation. As Dog/OC leads the Mission to bring our Light to the world, our Celebration of a New Beginning Lights the globe from one time zone to the next.

Earth/CABAN was the leader of our last trecena. We were inspired to go with the flow of Mother Earth, to bring Light to the very place we are.

On Tone 8, Earth/CABAN is exalted in the Intention of Divine Justice. Our Ascension is the Higher Ground that makes possible a new Transformation. On Tone 8 our Transformation begins under the direction of Divine Intervention.

This is Holy Day of Acknowledgement of our fulfillment of a Divine Covenant. The effort we invested in our own Spiritual Growth will be multiplied to abundance as a Divine Agency applies an equal and more powerful effort.

Tone 8 is the day of Sacred Ceremony for many of the Mayan observances. 8 Earth/CABAN (8 N’oj) is observed by the K’iche Maya as a Celebration of Human Intelligence, Wisdom, and Divine Consciousness. A New Year calls us to look back at our accomplishments of wisdom and imagine a new future.

The Dog/OC has offered the experiences to apply our new Wisdom of Loving and Forgiving. Dog/OC helps us experience the Power of the Unconditional Love we bring to a new beginning.

8 Seed / KAN – Journey of Discovery: Day 8 of 13

MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

8 Seed / KAN

Greetings Kin,

Tone 8 is the Holy Day of the Earth/CABAN trecena. Tone 8 holds the Creator’s Highest Intention of Divine Justice.

Seed/KAN embodies all the elements of creation, representing family, sexual activity and the magic of germination. Within the Seed is Human’s Divine Design, and the promise to become what we were meant to be.

Just as a seed works it’s way to the light through darkness, KAN strives to free itself from the debts or oppressive patterns of the past. It reaches to be free. The Seed is capable to draw to itself everything that’s needed to grow, gathering abundance “as if cast by a net.”

In the position of Divine Justice, Seed reflects the promise of gathering everything it needs so that its fruit will be multiplied to abundance. Our fruit is the Light of the Spirit. So are we given what is needed for a new harvest of Spirit, multiplied to abundance.

Through our Transformation, we are Seeds that create a new and stronger Seeds for the next generation. The improvements we make are marked in the cellular memories of our Spiritual DNA. On Earth Human prizes the heirloom Seeds that hold the integrity of their first state of being. In Spirit, the greater prize is the Seed we are struggling to become. The transformation to something greater is something we strive to hold onto as the inheritance we would offer to future generations.

The Seed represents a force of life within that makes our reproduction possible. Seed guides us to a profound investigation of our Self. To generate abundance, Seed must learn to appreciate all the gifts and lessons that support the process of its change. Seed serves the purpose of freeing ourselves from the hidden traps and influence of others that would hold us back. We must be grateful and have the courage to face our Self to clear the obstacles that are present in our own environment. We are called to cultivate a place where we can grow.

6 Wind / IK – Journey of Discovery: Day 6 of 13

MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

6 Wind / IK

Greetings Kin,

Tone 6 establishes a rhythm and flow of movement. We gain the momentum to complete another climb of Spiritual Growth. We’ve been focused on the elements of Creation… holding a Dream, stabilizing a direction, and generating the power to move forward. The Peak Energy of 6 brings it all together to accelerate our progress.

Like an athlete in training, it can be difficult to see our progress when we’re focused on the incremental steps. On Tone 6 we take off as our new skills are brought together.

The Peak Tones 6, 7, 8, and 9 are rich with potential. You can mark them on the calendar as the days when any effort holds its highest potential for success. As we become familiar with the incremental movements of creation, we can begin to use each day for its highest purpose. We can go with the flow, weathering the challenges that are necessary for growth, knowing a better day lies ahead.

Today, Wind/IK is the source of our momentum. The Earth/CABAN trecena inspires us to live in correspondence with Mother Earth. Gaining the knowledge of her cycles and forces of nature, we can engage with her momentum. On 6 Wind/IK we have the Wind of Spirit at our back.

5 Crocodile / IMIX – Journey of Discovery: Day 5 of 13

MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

5 Crocodile / IMIX

Greetings Kin,

The Earth/CABAN trecena guides a Transformation of Discovery. Earth is the source of all Human knowledge. From the macro to the micro, she tells a story of the Divine Design. The Wisdom of experience is a result of her movement. This phase of our Spiritual Growth will be a Discovery of our Oneness with Mother Earth. Made of Earth, we can know our Self by her matter, her forces of nature, and her movement.

The most ancient Spiritual Principles define our world as a mental construct. We all live in a world of our own perception. We can either see things as possible or impossible. We can recreate our world by changing our mind.

Crocodile/IMIX is the Day Sign that influences our way of thinking. IMIX inspires us to use our Imagination.

Tone 5 is a day of Empowerment. We are empowered to manifest new Truth through the faculties of our mind. Tone 5 magnifies the influence of IMIX, as 5 relates to our Human Intelligence – the ability to organize our thoughts. We are given an energetic push to see things through a new state-of-mind.

9TH UINAL: Over the course of the next 20 days we’ll see things in a new way. 9 holds the Intention of Patience to see the bigger picture. Completions are all-important to the number 9, warning of the potential for suffering if we fail explore our Truth more deeply. 9 is a Peak number of Transformation by revealing a Meaning and Purpose. The 9th uinal is the place of budding in the harvest cycle of the Tzolk’in round. We will be able to see the evidence that we are intended to blossom, holding the seeds of a new generation of Spirit. The Maya recognize the God of Light as the leader of the 9th uinal. The feathered serpent known as Kulkulcan (aka Quetzalcoatl) is the Light that descends along the steps of the pyramid of Chichen Itza. The 9th uinal transforms our perspective through inspiration from Above.

1 Earth / CABAN – Journey of Discovery: Day 1 of 13

MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

1 Earth / CABAN

THE TRECENA OF EARTH/CABAN

The next 13 days…

Greetings Kin,

The Seed/KAN trecena offered the Wisdom of our Self that only comes from experience. Our Consciousness was raised with the Courage to see who we were created to be, and that we are Forgiven for shortcomings that are all part of the process of Becoming.

We begin a new journey of Incoming Light under the Day Sign Earth/CABAN. We are led to discover our relationship with Mother Earth.

Earth/CABAN is the Sign of Mother Earth, Movement and our Correspondence with Planetary and Universal Cycles. CABAN can also teach us about our Self, as we are made of Earth and hold the same Forces of Nature.

The Aztec sign, the Ollin, is placed at the center of their calendar as an apex of movement, that points to 20 important positions of movement. Ollin simply represents “Movement,” the first sign of Life. The Cherokee Heron is also a sign of movement, as a creature that lives its life as a perpetual migration. The Heron is also related to the Phoenix, born again, from the ashes of its past. The K’iche interpretation of No’j (CABAN) is Knowledge. The 3 circles on the No’j glyph represent 3 areas of Wisdom of 3 dimensional realms, the physical, mental and spiritual planes.

Our Movement through Time with Mother Earth is the Source of all our Human Knowledge. Everything we need to know can be learned from her and through her movement. CABAN can lead us on a Path of Discovery of the Forces of Nature we share. Earth/CABAN calls us to “Come Be Here Now.”

PORTAL DAYS: The Earth/CABAN trecena includes 2 Portal Days that will thin the veil to other dimensions. We’re offered an opportunity to re-experience our own Magic. The Powerful Energy of Serpent/CHICCHAN will be magnified on Tone 9. This is a Position of Peak Energy for “Lightning in the Blood.” A second Portal Opens on Tone 12 of Understanding. A portal will magnify the energy of Star/LAMAT to multiply our Wisdom to Abundance.

4 SUN/AHAU:  4 Sun/AHAU,  December 15th, is a very significant Kin on the Tzolk’in calendar, central to Mayan prophecies of Transformation. (December 21, 2012 prophecies were based on its Kin, 4 Sun/AHAU.) Burner Days release a build-up of residual energies to restore the Balance of our Relationships. Personal ceremonies are often observed by the Maya during days leading up to Burner Days. On 4 Sun/AHAU our Harmony will be Restored through a Completion of the 8th uinal of Divine Justice. [Also, a Global Burner Day. See 13-Day Trecena Guide.]

9TH UINAL: On Tone 5 of Empowerment under the Day Sign of IMIX we will enter the 9th Uinal of the Tzolk’in. IMIX will ignite our Imagination for a Higher Transformation. This is a uinal that calls us to a Higher Perspective. Number 9 represents the completion of an Understanding, and is a 20-day cycle aided by Divine Intervention.  The 9th uinal represents the budding of the flowers that will create the seed of a new generation of Spirit.

PEAK DAYS/PEAK EXPERIENCES:

  • 6 Wind/IK – Spiritual Growth will be inspired by the Breath of Spirit
  • 7 Night/AKBAL – Balance will be restored by an Inner Voice of Spirit
  • 8 Seed/KAN – The Holy Day of the trecena will fulfill the Intention of our Dynamic Nature
  • 9 Serpent/CHICCHAN (Portal Day) – Our Spiritual Gifts of Knowing will be re-ignited (magnified by a Portal)
