THE TRECENA OF EARTH/CABAN
The next 13 days…
We were given the Divine Thoughts to imagine everything we were meant To Be. Our Ascension from the Seed/KAN trecena was the application of what Monkey/CHUEN inspired us to do. We were weaving the Tapestry of our Own Divine Symbols from the Wisdom of the Experience.
A new Fire burns for a Divine Manifestation. Earth/CABAN is a Day Sign of Fire and Light. Residing in the East, our eyes are turned to a Sunrise that will Illuminate all the Beauty of Mother Earth. It will be the Sun that Rises for that very Divine Meaning and Purpose.
On a journey with Earth/CABAN we’ll be Inspired to see The Creation. Through Mother Earth we’ll see what we’re made of.
Earth/CABAN is known as N’oj in the K’iche tradition. Mother Earth is the source of all Human knowledge. N’oj illustrates how Knowledge is conceived. The N’oj glyph emphasizes 3 different things. Each looks very much like the sperm. Each one symbolizes the different conceptions of Human knowledge… ways of Consciousness. We conceive thoughts through the Human mind, the imagination, and the Inspiration of Divine Spirit. A symbol is understood through the eye of the beholder. Through Divine thoughts, we command the Conscious and the Unconscious Mind for Creation. Mother Earth is the symbol of the Egg where the Circle of Life and the Whole of all our Consciousness would be born.
CABAN is about Movement that Creates Time. We create all the Times of our Life through movement and communication. Through our Movement we will “See what we are Becoming” and the “Gift OUR Seed” brings to the world. The Aztec description associated with the Ollin (all-in) symbol at the center of their calendar, marks a journey with CABAN as the Time and Place where we See our New Self. Ollin means simply, Movement. The Symbols of Earth/CABAN, N’OJ, and OLLIN will inspire us to Move into the world With All Our Heart. A journey of Spirit will be the Offering at our Ascension – 13 Offering/MULUC.
4 SUN/AHAU: Global Burner Day
Burner Days mark an Energetic Release. The Mayan priest carry out the Sacred Fire Ceremonies for the Community. The CHICCHAN of our Love has been Divinely backed into its corner for a New Release of Passionate Love. There is one Global Burner in each Season of the Tzolk’in. This a Global Burner with many Signs and Symbols. The Full Moon the Day Before also forecasts a day of Release, and given a Name of Beauty, “the Full Flower Moon.” A Dream of our Spirit can be seen as something with dimension on Tone 4 that stabilizes like the cube. We will see the Flowers that our Seed will create. 4 Sun/AHAU is Humanity’s Mayan birthday, the Destiny Named for the day Human Consciousness is delivered on Earth.
9TH UINAL: On 5 Crocodile/IMIX we enter the 9th uinal. Nine is all about completing new knowledge by remembering the Patience to look from a broader perspective. From a Divine Perspective we can complete a Truth for the Whole. Crocodile/IMIX is the Primordial Mother at the Beginning of all things. In the 9th uinal she will start us out with an Empowerment (5) of Divine Thought. The 9th uinal completes the buds on the tree that prove to Human eyes that in the Season of Harvest, we will produce the Fruit of our Spirit.
THE ENDING PLANNED FROM THE BEGINNING:
On 13 Offering/MULUC we will Ascend through an Atonement of Divine Consciousness. Following a journey to a Divine Vision of Mother Earth, we’ll receive the Passion to Jump in and Save all she was meant to be. Our Ascension will prepare us for a Journey as the Dog… the Symbol of Unconditional Love that every Human sees.
The Cherokee Day Sign is the Heron, the nuhaul of perpetual migration. They are symbols of the Phoenix that rises from the ashes of its past. One of the phenomenons of their migration is the “Sandhill Crane Migration” in Nebraska. Somehow, 500,000 cranes coming from different places all over the globe, end up at the same Time and Place. In our Finest Hour we will be Alone on a journey. Where we end up we will Know we were DIVINELY gathered back into ONE.
Ascending from Wisdom/CIB we hold the Key to the Kingdom – Forgiveness. The Elders taught us that Mother Earth holds the Power of Transmutation. In the Fire of Her Love, we can be changed. Earth/CABAN is related to Movements of Mother Earth. CABAN can move like an Earthquake to shake things up and restore order.
AZTEC CALENDAR SYMBOLS:
Day Ollin (Movement) is governed by Xolotl as its provider of tonalli (Shadow Soul) life energy. This is an auspicious day for the active principle, a bad day for the passive principle. Ollin is a day of the purified heart, signifying those moments where human beings may perceive what they are becoming. A good day for transmutation, which arrives like an earthquake that leaves in its wake the ruins of rationality, order and the preconceived.
The thirteen day period (trecena) that starts with day 1-Ollin (Movement) is ruled by Tlazolteotl. This trecena is governed by the goddess of cotton and weaving, of sexuality and childbirth, she who is the eater of sins: it is the sign of the Scavenger, who feeds not on power but on the ills that darken the heart. The rainbow serpent, symbol of pleasure and folly, levitates amidst a shroud of smoke and shadow: these are 13 days of stolen secrets and odd twists of fate. The earth itself shakes: the ills created by shock can sometimes only be cured by greater shock. These are good days for self-purification; bad days for self-gratification.
TOTEM BADGER: The Mother Protector
The Badger is a Symbol of the Fierce Mother, protective of her young. She encourages a journey at our own pace. Divine Will WILL Be. We only how to allow it. Have faith in your abilities. You have all the time in the world. A badger is one that holds all the right tools to take on any challenge. The badger ignores what others say. She has her own way, thank you… and so do her children. So, you better not mess with any of them. The Badger notes the time to come out of hiding and Be Yourself, and let the world know “you mean business.” It’s time to Be Yourself… whatever it is, stand your Ground To Be.
Earth/CABAN will tell us we’re grown up and it’s time to get up and move, and to do it with all your heart. Earth/CABAN will help us see what we’ve become.
When a Mother knows her duty is done, she hopes we hurry up and have our own. It’s time for US to learn the Sacred Exchange.
1 Earth/CABAN is the beginning of a new way of life. Earth/CABAN is a trecena of Light, meaning incoming inspiration. Under the guidance of Earth/CABAN, we’ll be inspired to Move on our Love of the Mother and the Whole of Creation.
This is a day to come as Children who share Gratitude and Appreciation that is so long overdue. The words won’t be enough. We will be Moved by Mother Earth to take action. We have stepped into the shoes of the Creator. Now we will be Inspired for Creation by Mother Earth.
We can Honor Mother Earth to “Be Here Now.” Our Spirit Knows Mother Earth as the Source of every blessing. Everything we know in the world, she taught us. We can count on a Mother that knows better than we do what she is doing. For a Divine Mother, we can Move from the Heart, JUST because she says so.
This is the time of budding – the first physical evidence of a Harvest. Earth/CABAN will provide the proof in a world Below, that our Prayers are Heard and Answered.
There was no morning chorus on the balcony. The baby finch of an undisclosed Number fledged on 12 Eagle’s wings. They Ascended with us and discovered the Wisdom of their Wings – they could fly. The gardenia – the one gift for the balcony for the New Year is still hanging on the flowers that were there a week ago. Gardenias are my favorite smell – right next to Plumeria and Tuberose. This Spring all I’ve wanted to do is to smell the flowers. I changed to a floral scent of perfume – lilac – as close as I could get to a gardenia.
The shaman Elder on the Pachakuti Mesa Tradition taught us to use floral waters whenever we left a Blessing for Mother Earth. Florida Water or Rose Water were often used. It’s taken in the mouth and spewed onto the ground. The Mayan shaman use tequilla in the same way. It is a Call to Mother Earth that awakens the field of consciousness where you are. The Mothers eyes are turned to the sweet smell. There are flower celebrations taking place around the world. in India, the Malabar Flower Festival, and later this month the Kegworth Flower Festival in Derby, England. May 18, 2019 is the “Full Flower Moon.”
Falling in the trecena of Earth/CABAN, we might see this Symbol of Synchronicity of so many called to bring their Flowers and their Prayers to Mother Earth at the New Moon. This promises to be a Very Sweet Spring – one worthy of the Seed we’ve doted on with all our Love.
Mother always knows best. In her arms we’ll be protected. A Divine Mother is Swift and Sure when it comes to saving the life of her children. She wakes up in the Spring and life begins again when the Flowers Bloom. In the 9th uinal we will see the Truth that it can happen. Like the numbers of the Tones, 9 intends to COMPLETE US through her patience to help us see the BIGGER Picture. The 9th uinal is Peak Energy already flowing with a rhythm of Meaning and Purpose. This is a time of Transformation at the Hand of Divine Agency. The Signs are there that Mother Earth will smell the flowers at the “Full Flower Moon” and wake up to serve everything we needed and cried for. She is to be the Inspiration for our New Walk of Beauty.
She will have her own Mother’s Day. On 8 Earth/CABAN a New Moon will reveal her in the first reflection of its Light. Earth is moving into Her Zenith in the trecena of Dog/OC, the Symbol of Unconditional Love. We will walk Her Paths of Beauty guided to Transformation by the Symbol of Unconditional Love. Mother Earth will teach us the Unconditional Love of Compassion.
Earth/CABAN offers the Symbol of Holy Ground right beneath our Feet. A Fire of Transformation lies in its Heart. With all the Forces of Nature at Her Divine command, she holds the DUTY to raise us up. She LOVES the Duty of the Matriarch and the Head of the Household.
A Matriarch will step in, even if you don’t want her to. Better to just let her do what she does without asking for what you need. She already knows and has the provisions at hand. She’s the family doctor and deliverer. (This is the Matriarch of my generation who takes things on without any need for a family discussion. There’s no need for it when you have all the answers. LOL) I Love the Symbol she Intends to be, and KNOW that she HAS been in so many deliveries. She’s ALWAYS overdue some acknowledgement and appreciation.
Mother Earth is the Divine Matriarch that REALLY Knows it all. We each created a Divine Mother on our journey. She was way better than the Human one. May we remember that our Human Mother WAS the FIRST Divine Mother on Earth that held us in her womb.
We are held in the Spring. There are flowers and the first new crops of berries and corn. The Elders said to Celebrate all the SWEETNESS of Spring. These are the fruits close to the ground that children can see within their reach. The Heron is the Cherokee Symbol of the Phoenix. Earth is gathering her flock.
To all my relations, May we transfer the Compassionate Love we created as Symbols of Mother Earth. May we remember that Mother Earth has been the head of the household for a very long time for every Human born here. She’s seen it all. And we can count on her to Know it ALL. There are so many confusions about life in the world below. Every Life matters.
We can admit we don’t know. We can stand on the Truth that a Divine Mother Knows, and holds the Fire to Change us. May we See her, Acknowledge her, and be Inspired by Her to Know EVERYTHING there is to know about Life. My we listen to Her Truth and not the passing thoughts from someone else’s journey. May we Walk our Own Path of Beauty and take time to smell the flowers. We were given this Spring to See it. We are MADE of Her. May our field of Consciousness be Awakened with Mother Earth’s by the Smell of the Flowers. May the first fruits of Spring remind us of the Sweet things she likes to give.
in lak’ech, I am another you
Debra, Jaguar Woman/9 Eagle/MEN
PS. I’m feeling a little in the dark on this one. I’m pulling all the Mother Symbols I can.

1 Earth/CABAN (Cherokee, Heron/GUWI’SGUWI)
Galactic Tone 1: Unity. One is the beginning of all things, the first, the whole and the all in one. One’s are assertive and self-guided and give a good push to whatever project they are associated with. One persons work best when meeting a challenge. Do not expect One-persons to be attentive to details or to put the finishing touches on things.
Earth/Caban: Earth/Caban: Keeper of the garden of Earth. Profound synchronistic connections to Earth’s natural cycles and energies provide power of creations and memories of ancient wisdom. Earth persons help dispel bad intentions, habits and ideas. This makes them very good counselors and masters of all arts. Studious and intelligent, Earth persons endeavor to bring a flow of natural order to all aspects of life. Being connected to the dynamic forces of nature, Earth persons need much liberty to facilitate their expression of migration or the sending of long distance communications such as the whales, elephants, birds and many other creatures. Sometimes Earth’s delicate sensitivities are upset resulting in quakes of emotion even the display of volcanic temper.
Cherokee, Heron/GUWI’SGUWI: Sign of movement and perpetual motion, Heron is symbolized by Deneb, located in the Northern Cross beside the Milky Way. “The Northern Cross is the Tree of Life, Beside the Milky Way River & Perched atop is Guwi’ sguwi, the Cherokee Heron Spirit Bird, comparable to the Phoenix that rises from the ashes of the past.
