THE TRECENA OF FLINT/ETZNAB
MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
Manifestation is the Intention of Tone 10. What was held by Intention becomes real on Tone 10. It’s a Blessing that comes with a Responsibility. We have to claim the Truth.
Deer/MANIK is the Day Sign of the Mayan priest. The circle on the glyph illustrates the eye of the Deer, representing the strength of Vigilant Consciousness. The Deer is a sign of stability, upholding the Pillars of Faith with one foot planted in each of the 4 directions. MANIK is dedicated to a Mission for the Whole.
The Mayan priest leads a path to an altar. Living in the Highest Integrity of its own Truth, MANIK serves as a living example.
MANIK is the Giver of all Spiritual Tools. Through the use of Vigilant Consciousness, MANIK engages the Divine Power of Love. “Hand” is another name for MANIK. The glyph illustrates the forefinger and thumb grasping a thread of Ether that completes a circuit of Divine Power. Deer is Atoned with the Mind of Divinity, observing the rituals and sacred offerings on behalf of the whole.
The Deer resides in the West, the direction of our Unknown future. The Deer’s Spiritual Tools represent the Provisions of a Divine Creator and Truth that is shared through a Divine Communion of Love. The Deer is said to push away negative influences, holding a Tool for every Human limitation.
The West holds the Element of Water that is used by the Mayan priest for Blessings, Initiations, Baptisms and Purification. Deer/MANIK offers the blessing to maintain the Purity of our Intention.
The Mayan priest isn’t a preacher, but one who demonstrates a dedicated practice. The Deer holds the Power of Harmonic Resonance. In every herd of Deer, there is one who maintains the position of the leader who is vigilantly conscious of every direction. Others are inclined to follow the one dedicated in service for the Whole.
The Deer holds the Light of Remembering. When we see one kneeling at an altar, we remember. The Faith of One will empower the Faith of another.
The manifestation of Tone 10 is said to present a challenge. Tone 10 often presents a familiar set of circumstances. We will see the Truth of Change when our Heart responds in a different way. Something hard can suddenly feel easy. Our perspective is changed on Tone 10.
10 Deer/MANIK leads us to claim the Truth of our Way and the Consciousness to Know our Destination of Light. Deer/MANIK holds the Divine Truth of God’s Grace, a Love that covers everything.
MANIK isn’t a demonstration of perfection, but perfectly surrenders to the Truth that God Alone is the Source of every Blessing. We Remember at an altar where God is waiting with a Provision of Unconditional Love.
To all my relations, may we claim our Divine Place under the wing of the Almighty. May we know that when we dedicate our Life to a Divine Relationship, the One who knows Love beyond Human understanding will help us manifest our Dreams of Love. May we reach to be grasped by the One that one let go.
May we claim a new Life and a New Light of Truth.
in lak’ech, I am another you

10 Deer/MANIK (Cherokee, Deer/Ahwu’sdi)
Galactic Tone 10: Manifestation. What were once intentions or ideas, hopes or fears become physically present with the energy of Ten. What is focused upon with attention and intention becomes real with Ten. Ten is a powerful energy that carries a great responsibility.
Deer/MANIK (Hand): Deer are spirit tools. Silence itself is a spiritual experience for Deer. For Deer life is a pilgrimage. Deer are dominant persons who defend the people and will make sacrifices for others. The spirit of Deer upholds the pillars of the four directions. With the power inherent in the number four, Deer pushes away bad influences or negative energies. Skill and quality of work are very important to Deer. They are presented with tools for every task in life and it is with these that they are able to rise above limitations. Deer has a habit of keeping every tool it has ever used. This leads to clutter and indecision, loss and procrastination. When confronted with promises not kept, Deer becomes stubborn, manipulative and evasive.
Cherokee, Deer/Ahwu’sdi: Symbolized by Constellation Galagina, the Stag, known as Taurus, the Bull. It does not include the Pleiades and Hyades clusters which in Cherokee are viewed as separate. To feed, gatherers of food and supplies, they enjoy rituals, ceremonials, feasts, the souls of hospitality, sociability. Freedom versus security issues often inspire leadership and unique solutions. Combined with artistic and inspiring energies in harmony with lunar cycles, they nourish the clans. Totem-Deer: A priest or shaman, a powerful person in general, to overwhelm an individual with one’s personal power, divination; inclined to become a teacher, healer, guru, civic leader, or politician. Ability to create harmonic resonance.
