10 Dog / OC – Second Thoughts

The nahaul of Dog/OC is the essence of “man’s most faithful friend.” The Dog is eager to forget the past for what is possible in the moment. Now is the Time that counts the most. A Dog always writes off an exception of behavior, so close to the reasons shared by the Monkey/CHUEN – the Dog can be reminded of a reason – it’s not the right time for one behavior or another. SOMETIMES it’s okay to jump up on people, but rarely.

The 1st Uinal of our year of 2nd chances, with double the effect for a Higher Cause on the 2nd try.

The Dog sees the Light of Love. Playing the Dog that sees Love we can count what is clearly the truth, sometimes hidden under darker circumstances. Earth Angels are the ones that see us through from start to finish with unwavering Faith. What Human could serve the purpose better than a Truth we claim of all the Light within.

The Element of Air relates to our Powers of Consciousness and Discernment. Using the Sacred Breath helps to awaken all the faculties of the Mind, and we create a communion between a mind of reason and the Monkey creator that wants to teach the Dog a new game. Only the trickster Monkey would still be playing fetch, while the Dog went along with this brand new invention of fun. (The Elders say the Dog had to pay karma for taking advantage of too many opportunities.) A Dog needs a master, and a Monkey needs a muse to fuel Reason with Play.

You’d think the Creator would make Manifestation an easy thing to do. By Human limitations, the hardest thing we have to do is “let go.” It takes a lot of muscle to release our grip.

From the other side, it looks like a tug of war. We have to let go to give the Master the permission for every choice. We can hardly imagine that anyone else is even trying. If we can create the Truth in our Self, we’ll know it has to be a Common Gift for Happiness. We don’t have to forget, when we realize Love was the matter that weighed most on someone’s heart and mind, in every experience of the Relationship. Love makes us do some crazy things, and why the affinity with the nahaul of highest consciousness – the Divine Genius of the animal kingdom – is to master our primal senses to be fools for Love before we took any time for the Truth to speak for itself.

Life doesn’t look fun, if we can’t keep on becoming what our Heart always wanted to do on our own. Who made up those rules? Sounds like human monkey business to me.

You’d think Dog/OC would always be a Happy Day, but Unconditional Love is best applied when something happens that we have to forgive. Time will tell. We could claim some curious Truth that was buried treasure. If we planned ahead, just in case…

love, in lak’ech, Debra

10 Dog/OC (Cherokee, Wolf/KANA’TI)

Galactic Tone 10: Manifestation. What were once intentions or ideas, hopes or fears become physically present with the energy of Ten. What is focused upon with attention and intention becomes real with Ten. Ten is a powerful energy that carries a great responsibility.

Dog/OC: Courageous, loyal and warm-hearted, very alert and valiant, people born of Dog are respected for their sense of justice and their protection. People born of the sun sign Dog are very sensual and know how to enjoy life. Playfulness and a good understanding of the basic human nature lead to prosperity for Dog. Dogs are good team players who love to travel and have a keen sense of their position in society. Dogs are ambitious and will take opportunities when they offer themselves, including infidelities. Dog persons share the nature of coyotes, spies, wolves and lawyers.

Cherokee, Wolf/Kana’ti – O’Oj: Dog/OC is a symbol of Sirius (Dog star) and Antares; one or the other is always visible but never at the same time. Wolf is our brother, shares our very roots. All dogs are domesticated wolves, companionship and guidance; connecting a link between the worlds; wolf is the day sign associated with teachers, pathfinders and transformers.

By providing the original text, I hope to offer a way to see what inspired my thoughts and by including all the aspects – allow for something more to inspire you. Mayan descriptions are those written by Ian Lungold. Cherokee descriptions came from multiple sources. My gift for a New Tzolk’in Round…

Visit the 13-Day Trecena Guide for daily aspects and events of the Crocodile/IMIX trecena.

My gift for this Tzolk’in round is linked there, a Tzolk’in Field Guide that has as much about the basic aspects of each day as I could think to put into it. The directions and the elements are aspects of Universal Laws that can be known in MANY ways, through many kinds of practice. My aim with the dates for each trecena, included for the next few years, was an intention that we could have everything for a day in one place at hand, if we didn’t have a computer.

How have you changed? What do you want to do?

I love to hear from you. It’s interesting to hear how we all experience the energy in different ways. We all have something to share that can help us remember and SEE if it’s happening the same with us too!
