Mother Earth knows everything about Life and Beauty on the planet, and she knows our Heart’s Desire!
This is a quick update on what she taught me so far today.
I’ve seen bushes like this around the neighborhood and wished I knew what they were. They have been about the only flowering thing during this Summer’s heatwave in Kansas. They bloom a little later in the season, and at least I can enjoy the one in the neighbor’s backyard.
This was my first real try for planting a garden and some beauty around my new place. It didn’t look like the ornamental grass was going to make it, but has put down some roots that should hold on through the winter. I had a vision of hot pink cone flowers and blue flowering bushes, and a blue hibiscus on the front corner. Here’s the progress on my effort.
Isn’t it gorgeous! It was too hot to fight the invaders. I threw plastic over some woody-invader that was trying to take over everything… to no avail. Nothing bloomed, beyond the potted plants by the front door. But it was a 1st Try – so that’s the good foundation for the 2nd Try next year.
The same weed was trying to take over a bush near the front door that may not make it to next year. This morning I noticed it was blooming.
Try as I may, I couldn’t kill the WEED that was turned into my heart’s desire. No doubt, if I leave it alone, and remove the plastic, I will have pink flowers at two corners next year. If I have to remove the dying bush, I’m sure the “flowering weed” will love the extra space.
I’m grateful we don’t have to know anything to receive a blessing from Mother Earth. Between the Heart of Earth and the Heart of Sky, we’re golden.
love, in lak’ech, Debra
1 Sun/AHAU (Cherokee, Flower/GUN’TSI EK)
Galactic Tone 1: Unity. One is the beginning of all things, the first, the whole and the all in one. One’s are assertive and self-guided and give a good push to whatever project they are associated with. One persons work best when meeting a challenge. Do not expect One-persons to be attentive to details or to put the finishing touches on things.
Sun/AHAU: Day of the ancestors and connection to their guidance. The divine face of the sun – lord, musician, singer, dancer, and marksman. Suns are artistic, heroic athletes, visionaries with wise judgment who lead and defend the people. So much is expected from themselves and by other people that unfulfilled expectations are a certainty. An accumulation of these disappointments may lead Sun to evade responsibilities, not accept corrections and even build resentment and disdain towards others. Suns should simplify their lives to be able to rise and shine with unconditional love once again.
Cherokee, Flower/GUN’TSI EK: Symbol is the Sun, place of abode of Great Spirit. The Sun creates, nurtures, and is the super communicator, the way station that relays messages and energy from other stars in the galaxy; provides energy for channeling information from the Ancestors; speaking the Living Language of Light, which ignites the consciousness in others. Gold is the color of courage and opportunity of wealth. Creative arts, master craftsman expressing divinity and wisdom through their creations. The face of the flower follows the Sun gathering the fire of creativity, illuminating harmony and balance, resonating peace and continuity within the human spirit. This is the Sign of the Chalice of the Infinite, Caldron of Creation.

hey there-the bush is a crepe myrtle I think. It could be a tree though, not a bush. Time will tell;. It will bloom here til cold weather. Crepe myrtle bushes are the same as trees, but just dwarfs. Look it up to check if I am right, God bless you and your own patch of earth! in lak’ech Michele
