EXPLODING POLAR CROWN FILAMENT: A magnetic filament circling the sun’s north pole became unstable and hurled a plume of plasma onto the sun’s middle latitudes. NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory recorded the eruption. See Spaceweather.com for the News
