Forgetting to Know the Light

Mother and Child, Giclee Print Created by J. Kirk Richards

Greetings Beloved Kin,

The Elders shared a story about the birth of our Spirit. They said the Divine Creator placed a finger over our lips to seal our memories of the mystery of life and death, creating the bridge between the nose and mouth. Our lips were sealed by forgetting.

If you tell someone that your lips are sealed, you are promising them that you will keep a secret that they have told you. Source: Collins Dictionary

Birth is among the most painful experiences of Life for the Mother and Child, yet both forget the experience in the Light of the Blessing. Even when birth ends as a tragedy, it’s only the Life that’s remembered.

Crocodile/IMIX (ee meesh) is the Dawn of a New Awakening and a New Birth into the Light of a new experience, As Above, So Below. We are born again from the darkness to a new Light of Spirit in a Vision Quest. There are memories yet to unfold. For every ritual and sacred ceremony of Spirit, the Truth is revealed in the down-below, after.

The philtrum is the midline groove in the upper lip that runs from the top of the lip to the nose. The way the philtrum appears is determined genetically. In some syndromes this grove is shortened. Source: MountSinai.org

The Elders taught us to “seal our lips” to hold our power. They suggested that we wait for at least 3 months before we shared anything with another Human Being about our Spiritual Experience. The moment we define it, we limit what could be revealed as the Whole Truth of the experience. No one can understand the Truth that was a Feeling that inspired our Heart and Soul.

The Sea of Yin, or “Palace of Immortality”, is seen in the philtrum between the nose and the mouth. This is the point where the Ren and Du channels meet and, in ancient Taoist alchemy, the philtrum is symbolic of the cauldron where alchemy occurs: the place between heaven and earth. Above, the nose receives the cosmic qi from breath through the nostrils; below, the mouth receives the qi of the Earth as food. It is also the place to view fertility and creativity. This area is considered the equivalent of the lifeline on the palm of the hand, showing the time of life when the most jing is given from this underground aquifer. The philtrum can be divided into three parts: the top of the philtrum is the time of childhood, the middle of the philtrum mid-life, and the bottom of the philtrum old age. If the philtrum is equal in width in all three areas, this indicates that the infusion of jing is regular throughout life. When the philtrum is widest in the middle, the most jing is present in mid-life, and a philtrum that is widest at the bottom indicates that jing has been preserved and will be most present and available in old age. The good news is that the shape of the philtrum changes based on jing used so far and can also indicate a change in jing usage when more of the jing is preserved for old age.  Source: PacificCollege.edu

9 Wind/IK “finishes” a Divine Transformation through a Whole Investment of the Heart. Wind/IK represents the Creator’s Breath of Life and Breath of Spirit. On 8 IMIX we receive the Light of a Dream for our life that’s Seen, but yet to be experienced to be Known. Tone 9 holds the Intention of Patience to see the Big Picture.

Wind represents the Voice of the Creator that was the Promise of a Divine Covenant spoken as the Word. May we keep a promise and hold our power through an Intention of Patience, until the Creator reveals the Truth of a Mystery.

Divine Mysteries are shared one-on-one from the Above to the Below. We are all intended to know the Miracles of Knowing as our own experience. Some things aren’t meant to be shared so that others will experience the Miracles of Realizing the same Truth on their own.

May our lips be sealed as our offering in Sacred Exchange for the 1st Light of knowing a Divine Truth about about our self. Every Human holds the same Dream as our Heart’s Desire to unravel the Mystery of Life, as an experience we know in a tangible way. We all want to be “the first to know.” When we share the Secret in Divine Trinity, more shall be revealed.

much love, in lak’ech,

Debra

THE TRECENA OF JAGUAR/IX: A VISION QUEST OF SPIRIT TO LIGHT A DIVINE WAY

The Highlights, Peak Energies, and Times of Synchronicity for this trecena are included on the  13-Day Trecena Guide.

The “Tzolk’in Field Guide” is my gift to download that includes the Count of Days with the aspects for each Destiny Kin and highlights for a personal practice with each trecena. It’s designed as a companion for daily practice.

Visit the 13-Day Trecena Guide. to download a free copy. Volume 1 covers the first two seasons of the Tzolk’in, and Volume 2 covers the 3rd and 4th to the end of the Tzolk’in round.

The beginning is a good place to start a dedicated daily practice to record the Truth of your daily experience. When you track your the thoughts and experiences that don’t appear to mean a thing, you’re mind will be changed the next time around when the same thing happens again on the very same day. At least you’ll question the coincidence to see the Truth of Divine Synchronicity, when it happens the 3rd time – and you KNOW Time had a meaning and you were exactly where you were supposed to be.  I’ve forgotten all about miracles that happened before, until I see them happen again. That’s when you see that YOUR story was already written before you were even born.

8 Crocodile/IMIX (Cherokee Turtle/ DAK’SI  I’SB)

Descriptions by Ian Xel Lungold, 12 Sun/AHAU

Galactic Tone 8: Justice. Harmony and balance are the intent of Eight. Eights carefully weigh all evidence to reach a balance of justice. Eight is the power of organization demonstrated in the statement, “As above, so below.” From simplicity to infinity, the energy of Eight organizes all levels of creation. Some Eights are “Neat Freaks”.

Crocodile/IMIX: Crocodile receives messages of primal creative force; simply the beginning of all things. Crocodiles who follow their hearts are seen as genius. There is no order to the primal messages, so Crocodile persons should direct their energies toward practical and cooperative efforts to bring productive results. Crocodiles have a strong nurturing energy and will work hard to provide security to family and friends. Being extremely territorial, Crocodiles must watch not to be over protective or too dominating. While in these states, Crocodiles are insecure, indecisive and emotionally volatile.

Cherokee Turtle/ DAK’SI  I’SB:  Symbol, Turtle Island. Direction East. The Turtle Constellation Orion, one of three stars in the Cosmic Egg. In Mayan this is the Cosmic Hearth.  Energy of Creative force at the one-on-one, personal level; dawn, awakening, birth. The beginning of each new era, this star in Orion appears with the rising Sun, heralding the creation of a new World cycle. TOTEM Imix/Dragon – Energy to understand all things sacred. Creation energy, connection for visions to learn the mysteries of the Universal knowledge. The dragon carries the source energy of life, revered in ancient cultures for power and wisdom.

[Text in italics was the primary source of inspiration for my journal. These are the sources that started my journey and they are the reference for interpretation each day. By providing the original text, I hope to offer a way to see what inspired my thoughts and by including all the aspects – allow for something more to inspire you. Mayan descriptions are those written by Ian Lungold. Cherokee descriptions came from multiple sources. Links to sources and other resources of study are offered on the Daykeeper Resources Page. ~Debra]
